c130: Fierce Battle! Luya vs. Super No. 17
Upon hearing the sudden voice from above, Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu froze, their faces pale with shock. Slowly, they turned their heads upward.
Floating in the air, Luya hovered with one palm stretched out toward them, his expression calm yet merciless.
"Impossible! When did you appear there?!" Dr. Gero's voice cracked with disbelief. His artificial eyes, calibrated to detect ki fluctuations, had completely failed him.
How can this brat have concealed his energy so perfectly? Even martial artists like Kakarot and Vegeta can't hide themselves from my sensors…
"Go to Hell and ask the Oni King yourself," Luya sneered. His aura flared violently, golden sparks snapping around his palm before he unleashed a blinding sphere of ki.
"No! Super 17! Protect us!" Both doctors screamed in unison, terror twisting their features.
Reacting instantly, Super No. 17 streaked toward them like a black bullet.
But just as he closed the distance, Vegeta stepped into his path, his entire body wrapped in blinding golden light.
"Your opponent is me!!" Vegeta roared, veins bulging on his forehead. He thrust both arms forward. "Final Flash!!!"
The massive column of energy erupted, shaking the earth and sky. Super 17 crossed his arms to shield himself, his body swallowed by the wave.
A deafening explosion tore through the battlefield. The shockwave shattered the ground, and in its wake, Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu were consumed by Luya's merciless blast, their final screams echoing as they disintegrated into nothingness no scrap of circuitry remained.
"One strike… gone forever," Luya muttered coldly.
From the smoldering haze, Super 17 burst forth unscathed. His body gleamed with absorbed energy, and he appeared before Vegeta in the blink of an eye.
"What?!" Vegeta's pupils shrank. He tried to block, but Super 17's fist already buried itself in his stomach.
"Guhhh!!" Vegeta's eyes bulged. He coughed up foam and blood before his aura shattered. His body crashed to the ground, his Super Saiyan form stripped away.
"Dad!"
"Uncle Vegeta!"
Gohan, Trunks, and Goten shouted in horror, rushing forward, but Super 17 casually raised one hand.
Brrt-brrt-brrt! A barrage of energy bullets rained outward, forcing them back as explosions engulfed the field.
With the battlefield silenced, Super 17 turned his icy gaze on Luya. "So… you killed them. Did you even realize what you've done? They carried the remote control that could erase me with a single push. Without it… no one can stop me."
Luya smirked, arms folded. "Of course I knew. That's exactly why I destroyed them."
For the first time, Super 17's crimson eyes widened. "You knew? And still…?"
"Don't misunderstand," Luya said, his tone sharp. "Without their control, you aren't untouchable. I've read your fate in other battles warriors have found ways to defeat you. And I…" His aura spiked violently. "…I'll be the next."
Super 17 tilted his head, amused. "You claim to have seen my defeats? Then you should know what happened to Son Goku. Even his Super Saiyan 4 power couldn't keep me from crushing him. And you think you can succeed where he failed?"
Vegeta groaned on the ground, struggling to lift his battered body. "Kakarot… this monster absorbed even your strongest blows. Luya… don't underestimate him…"
Ignoring Vegeta's warning, Luya landed calmly in front of Super 17. "How strong are you really? Show me."
Super 17 smirked. "Gladly."
With a sudden burst, Luya rocketed into the sky. "Not here. Follow me!"
Super 17's eyes narrowed, but after a glance at the weakened Saiyans below, he chuckled darkly. "Fine. They can wait." He soared after Luya.
The chase ended above a massive, uninhabited island. Craggy cliffs lined the coast, and the sea roared around them.
"If you dragged me all the way here, you'd better make it worth my while," Super 17 said coldly.
"Oh, I will," Luya replied. With a flash of golden light, his hair spiked upward. The ground trembled as he ascended into a Super Saiyan, lightning crackling around his aura.
Super 17's smirk faltered slightly. "Another Saiyan…? Hmph. Interesting."
"You'll find I'm more than 'just another Saiyan.'" Luya's smirk turned predatory.
With a stomp that split the ground, Luya launched forward like a comet. His fist, wrapped in golden light, slammed straight into Super 17's gut, blasting him across the island.
The impact toppled an entire mountain range, dust clouds engulfing the sky.
But from the rubble, Super 17 emerged, unscathed, dusting debris from his shoulder. "Is that all? My energy-absorbing body makes your attacks meaningless."
"I don't need the reminder," Luya growled. His aura flared brighter, doubling in intensity as he transformed into Super Saiyan 2. The static-filled air crackled like thunder.
Super 17 tilted his head mockingly. "Even stronger… but still futile."
"Wrong." Luya vanished with Instant Transmission, appearing at Super 17's back. Time itself seemed to freeze as Luya accelerated beyond normal perception.
Wham! Wham! Wham!
A brutal barrage rained down. Fists, elbows, knees—Luya pummeled Super 17 from every angle, teleporting with each strike.
Finally, with a shout, he hammered Super 17 into the ground. The island split apart as shockwaves spread outward.
Dust rose. From the crater, Super 17's laughter echoed. Bruised but grinning, he stood tall. "Impressive… you may even surpass Goku's speed. But your punches lack killing force. To me… you're still an insect."
Luya's eyes narrowed. "Then I'll crush you like one."
The air exploded with red light as his aura shifted. Flames of godly ki swirled around him, and his hair shimmered with divine crimson.
Standing atop a rising wave, Luya's voice cut through the ocean roar:
"Super Saiyan God… has arrived!"
