c82: Big and Little Trunks Meet for the First Time
Capsule Corporation, West City
On this seemingly ordinary day, the tranquil sky suddenly turned ominous. A blinding bolt of lightning split the horizon, and in an instant, dark clouds began to swirl in a chaotic spiral overhead. Crackling energy not natural lightning, but more like time-warped arcs began converging in one eerie direction.
"W-Whoa! What's going on?!"
"Why is the sky acting weird again?!"
"Is this another alien invasion?!"
The sudden atmospheric shift caused panic among West City's nearby residents. Many remembered the last time such a disturbance occurred when Cell arrived from the future.
On a field just outside the city, Chowder, Ashiu, and Xiao Wu, three of Trunks' childhood friends, were lazing in the grass. Their game abruptly halted when they noticed the sky morphing.
"Hey Trunks! Look up there! Something's not right!" Chowder shouted, pointing skyward with visible fear.
Trunks, training alone nearby, sensed the distortion in space-time even before seeing it. He dashed over, his sharp half-Saiyan instincts on alert.
The group relaxed a bit upon seeing Trunks arrive. After all, he was the son of Vegeta—the Prince of Saiyans and even at his age, capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan.
"It's like... the sky's tearing open or something!" Ashiu stammered.
Trunks looked up. Moments later, just as he focused his gaze, a familiar vortex began to spiral in the clouds eerily reminiscent of what his mother once described when the older Trunks came from the future. In the center of the rift, a capsule-like object, slightly battered, hovered shakily.
"A t-time machine?!" Trunks gasped.
"AHHH! Aliens are invading again!!" Chowder screamed, hugging his friends tightly.
Trunks frowned and stepped forward. The object, barely able to maintain flight, sputtered and then came crashing down, embedding itself in a small crater nearby.
"Watch out!!" Trunks shouted, pulling the others out of harm's way just in time.
BOOM!
A heavy thud echoed through the area as the machine clearly a Capsule Corp-designed Time Machine hit the ground, but remained largely intact. The surrounding area was consumed in smoke and dust.
Trunks approached it cautiously.
"Don't go near it, idiot! What if it's dangerous?!" Chowder called out nervously.
But Trunks had seen too much already. He'd met the God of Destruction, Beerus, trained with Whis, and even watched his father spar with literal deities. A crashing machine was hardly terrifying.
He walked up to the machine and wiped off a layer of dust from its glass canopy.
"W-what the...?!"
Trunks froze.
Inside, visible through the now-cleared surface, was a teenage boy—unconscious, bloodied, and dressed in tattered blue clothing... and with hair the same color as his own.
"A-AHHHH!!" Trunks screamed.
The trio leapt back in fear, only to creep closer after seeing Trunks wasn't hurt.
"There's someone inside!" Trunks shouted.
"Wait! That logo, it's Capsule Corporation!" Ashiu pointed out. "Trunks! Isn't this from your house?!"
"Wait, that can't be... I've never seen this model before!" Trunks stammered. "Go get my mom now!"
"Axiu, run!" Chowder ordered.
"Why me?!" Axiu complained.
"Because dogs run fast hurry up!" Chowder snapped.
Ashiu: "...I'm not a dog."

A few minutes later, Bulma arrived on her airbike, visibly anxious. When she laid eyes on the machine, her jaw dropped.
"T-That's… Trunks' time machine from the future...! But it's all... scorched."
"Mom? What's this all about?" Trunks asked, confused.
Bulma rushed forward and peered into the capsule. Her heart nearly stopped.
"Trunks... is there a boy in there? Blue hair, sword strapped to his back?"
"Yeah! But he's knocked out how did you know?!"
Bulma's face went pale. "It's Future Trunks… No! We need to get him out immediately!"
Trunks helped lift the unconscious teen out and carried him to the nearby pavilion. Bulma laid him on a cushion and began treating minor wounds.
Meanwhile, Trunks and his friends whispered nearby.
"Wait a sec... doesn't that guy look just like Trunks?" Xiao Wu pointed out.
"Same blue hair... same face shape," Ashiu nodded.
"Could he be... your twin from the future or something?" Chowder muttered.
"Are you saying… Bulma had a secret child?!" Xiao Wu gasped.
"Shut up!" Bulma snapped. "Quit gossiping and help me monitor him! I need to run diagnostics!"
"Yes, ma'am!" The trio saluted like soldiers.
Bulma turned to her son. "Trunks, stay near him. Don't let anyone touch the time machine. Understand?"
"Uh... okay, Mom," Trunks blinked, trying to process everything. But Bulma was already gone.

Elsewhere in the far reaches of space
On Beerus' planet, the God of Destruction and his angel attendant Whis were relaxing after a feast.
"Instant noodles... I could eat these for another thousand years," Whis smiled.
Beerus licked his claws. "Hmph. Next time, bring spicy shrimp flavor."
"I'll remember!" Goku laughed. "Bulma always keeps plenty!"
Just then, Whis' staff emitted a sudden glow. A holographic projection of Bulma appeared she looked frantic.
"Bulma? Do you have more food?" Whis asked hopefully.
"No, something way more important! Where's Vegeta?!"
"Right here," Vegeta said calmly, stepping forward.
"Bulma, what is it now?" Goku asked.
Bulma exhaled sharply. "A time machine just arrived. Trunks from the future is back."
"What?!" Goku and Vegeta said in unison.
Beerus frowned. "Time travel again? That's a violation of the gods' rules..."
"Whis, bring them back now! We need to act fastnand bring Senzu Beans, just in case!" Bulma added, then cut the call abruptly.
Vegeta's expression turned dark.
"If Future Trunks is here again… then something worse than even Goku Black might be coming."
Whis nodded. "Understood."
With a flick of his staff, space twisted and the two Saiyans were gone.
