c79: Luya's New Transformation! Super Saiyan God
"What? What is he doing?" Even Vegeta couldn't understand Luya's sudden shift in energy. His combat instincts screamed danger, but his analytical mind was confused.
"Brother Luya looks really angry now!" Trunks shouted, watching with concern.
On the battlefield, the fake Vegeta narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Oh? You dropped your guard. Is this your way of surrendering?"
Luya smirked. "You think too much. I'm just preparing to test out my newest transformation."
"New technique?" Vegeta frowned. "Tch... stop babbling and show it already."
Luya exhaled slowly, then clenched his fists and closed his eyes. His energy, once fierce and aggressive, now flowed like still water. His breathing slowed. Mind and body aligned into perfect equilibrium a state similar to what Goku achieved before unlocking Ultra Instinct Omen.
The battlefield quieted as illusory red flames began to dance around Luya's body. The flames weren't hot they radiated divine pressure, like the aura Goku had when he first transformed into Super Saiyan God during his battle with Beerus, the God of Destruction.
"Impossible... That ki is...!" Both Vegetas' expressions shifted drastically.
"That godly ki... it can't be!" the fake Vegeta muttered.
In a flash, Luya opened his eyes. They now glowed crimson red. He let out a powerful roar as flame-like divine energy burst from his body, consuming the entire sky with scarlet light. His black hair turned vivid red, styled back like Goku's Super Saiyan God form.
Luya had transformed into a Super Saiyan God.
It was the same divine form Goku unlocked by channeling the energy of five pure-hearted Saiyans into one first seen during the Battle of Gods. Now, Luya had achieved it alone.
"Super Saiyan... God!!" the fake Vegeta growled, startled.
Everyone knew Super Saiyan Blue surpassed Super Saiyan God in raw power. But the fact that Luya could reach the God state was shocking enough. Traditionally, the transformation required the help of five Saiyans channeling their energy. Had Luya secretly worked with Goku and the others behind Vegeta's back?
"Did Vegeta make a deal with Kakarot and the rest?" the clone muttered darkly. "No way…"

Elsewhere, on the planet of King Kai, Goku was mid-training when he suddenly stopped, his senses jolted.
He grinned. "Alright! He finally tapped into it! He's awakened it completely!"
Through relentless training and meditation, Luya had finally regained and refined the power that was once elusive. Goku couldn't help but be proud even competitive.
"Hey! Goku! Come here!" King Kai shouted frantically.
"What is it, King Kai?" Goku asked, zipping over in an instant.
The North Kai looked up at the stars, voice grim. "I sensed intense divine energy. First from Vegeta and Gotenks... then Luya. But now, Luya's energy has shifted into something else entirely god-level ki. Something serious is going on, and it's not on Earth."
"Huh? You mean they left Earth?" Goku blinked.
"Exactly. Their signatures moved to Planet Hot Pot not far from Earth."
"Well, I'm back to full power now. Might as well go check it out!"
"Be careful!" King Kai warned.
"Got it!"

Planet Hot Pot.
Vegeta glared at Luya, his tone sharp. "How did you manage to transform into a Super Saiyan God?"
Luya gave a cheeky grin. "Simple. I did what Goku did."
"Impossible!" the fake Vegeta barked. "Super Saiyan God requires five Saiyans to pour their power into one. Did you get Kakarot and the others involved?"
Luya scratched his cheek. "Not quite. I studied Goku's energy signature, extracted traces of divine ki during training, and... well, adapted it."
Vegeta: "..."
"Are you mocking me?!" the real Vegeta raged inwardly. That kind of spiritual reverse-engineering required almost angel-level comprehension.
"Fine," said the imposter coldly. "Super Saiyan God is strong, but it still falls short of Blue. You're not on my level."
"Maybe. But who knows? Maybe I'll be Blue soon, too," Luya said with a smirk.
Vegeta clenched his fists. The sheer potential Luya displayed was terrifying. He wasn't bluffing—Vegeta could feel that the kid was already halfway into the next level.
A monster...
Later, Vegeta would meet Broly and learn what a true monster looked like but that was a story for another day.
"Brother Luya! Hurry!" Trunks cried from the sideline. "My dad's disappearing!"
Luya's eyes flicked over to Vegeta his form was nearly fully transparent now.
He turned back toward the imposter. "I wonder what happens if I combine Flash Time with a calm Super Saiyan God state...?"
Before anyone could blink, Luya vanished.
"So fast!!" the imposter gasped.
CRACK! A powerful punch landed on the fake Vegeta's forearm, sending him flying.
The fake Vegeta grunted. Even without Kaiō-Ken, Luya's new form, combined with Flash Time, had already closed the power gap. It was getting harder to react.
Luya charged again.
Normally, he would welcome a drawn-out match. But Vegeta's life was at stake. There was no time for ego.
Pow! Bam! Smack!
With Flash Time, Luya struck over and over, his red aura flickering with precision. Every movement was surgical. The imposter began faltering.
Super Saiyan God was less about brute strength and more about efficiency, speed, and divine precision. Goku had learned this when fighting Beerus and now Luya was displaying the same.
But even though the hits weren't fatal, the fake Vegeta began buckling under the nonstop pressure.
He needed more power.
Meanwhile, Trunks, Gotenks, and the others were focused on the battle. None noticed the purple-red liquid creeping toward them from behind its form pulsing unnaturally.
It was the Superhuman Water the same sentient substance that created powerful clones by copying fighters, seen in the "Copy-Vegeta" mini-arc.
Monaka, now waking up, caught sight of it and screamed: "Ah!! The Superhuman Water!!"
"What?!" Everyone turned.
The goo lunged toward the strongest one nearby Trunks!
"Urgh!!" Trunks froze in shock.
"Trunks!" Vegeta rushed to shield him, but his body, now nearly intangible, couldn't block the attack. The Superhuman Water passed through him and zipped toward Trunks with alarming speed.
A life-or-death crisis!!
