Shadow Jr. was a product of an one night stand between Shadow and an Alpha female he had met nineteen years ago. He was on one of his missions as usual, and felt the loneliness that came with Sous being locked away at prison.
He had traveled to a town to deliver basilisk eggs when he encountered an Alpha wolf. He had actually encounter two wolves. One an Omega and one an Alpha. He had relations with both, getting pregnant by the Alpha, and hoping to the any divine entity above that he didn't get the Omega pregnant.
He had hoped not because one child was enough and carrying one child was surely enough for him. He was sickly all the time, his back had hurt, the kicking sensations were an annoyance. Ugh! He hated being pregnant!
It was Monica who had helped him in the early years. Having laughed at him and how he was struggling. Still, she too had come to love the baby that was named Shadow Jr. because Shadow was just too lazy to think of anything else.
She grew up to be a fine kid but her schooling was basic. She didn't care to learn spells or seals, she must preferred working with her hands and body. It showed too because the nineteen year old had the body of a goddess. Slim, lean, and muscular plus added on to her being at least six feet tall, when she had hit her first rut, Shadow had keep Omegas away from her with a broom.
He hated the way she treated Omegas though and Shadow chalked that up to her not having an Alpha in her life that could act as a good role model. Omegas were just toys for her. She would at first bring one home every time they stopped at a village or city, but Shadow would scold her so she lessened it to about once a twice a month.
She would say such horrible things about Omegas: that they were stupid, weak and only good for one thing. She treated them as if they were nothing.
Even now as she moped about the boat, she complained about Kara, mad the Omega wouldn't sleep with her. Kara walked up from the bunks below and listened to the Alpha call her a 'dumb bitch like Omegas be'.
"You think your father is a 'dumb bitch'?" Kara asked the nineteen year old, seeing how hurt Shadow was by his daughter's words.
Shadow Jr. grumbled off, not wanting to insult her father yet not wanting to admit she was wrong about Omegas.
Once she left, Kara turned to Shadow. "I'm sorry that's your daughter."
Shadow shook his head. "I blame myself. I got knock up and didn't give her that two parent home wolves need. She doesn't have a pack, ya know."
Kara looked back to where Shadow Jr. left off to and couldn't help but think Sous would have been a good role model for her.
"You're pretty bad at sex," the Omega said to Sous while she put her clothes back on. They were in a shabby motel that Sous had paid for per the night so the two could spend the time together. Sous just looked at the Omega as she spoke, not sure of what she was just told.
The Omega lifted her shirt over her head and walked to put her shoes on her feet. Sous remained on the bed with the blanket covering her mid section.
"I was as dry as the desert. You don't do nuttin. You don't do foreplay, no oral, you just stick it in and what's worst, even though you're a grower with a good, big size! You fuck like a jack rabbit." The Omega plopped down at the dresser mirror and began to do her make up and air. "I don't believe you never had a mate before."
"I had one back in school but that was twenty years ago."
"So what? You forgot how to fuck, is that what you're saying? So you didn't give her the big O, she never had one or something, never gave her foreplay or ate her out? You would just fuck her? There are things called yoni massages, you know, even kunyaza-look it up."
The Omega got up after fixing her hair and picked up her purse. She looked at Sous and shook her head at the Alpha. "It was nice meeting you, Sous." She said, leaving the motel room.
Sous laid back down in bed and thought of her relationship with Tany back then. The witch seemed happy and if she didn't enjoy it, surely she would have said something. That was how Tany was. Or maybe she thought Sous was selfish or wouldn't care...which turned out to be true given Sous was a complete asshole during that time of her life.
What the Omega said just now didn't hurt her but if they had come from Kara, she would have absolutely been devastated. She would have hoped, she would take the time to talk to Kara, ask her what she wanted...but Sous still didn't have a lot of experience with Omegas.
The weeks turned into months and by the four month, Sous was better at speaking Ench. It was still basic and more conversational than fluent, and even still struggled at certain topics, it was still much better than when she first came to the Bayous.
She stepped onto the row boat where they were going to another human settlement. It was said there were two wendigos that needed to be transported.
"Hey Sous," the captain started. "Your time is about up here. I spoke to the administrator and we made a request for transfer for you. Theres a wolf that travels up and down the river of Nadia with a ferry doing missions. He used to work for the borders but with age, he retired from that position. Anyway, we sent a request for you to be able to help him. It'll allow you to stay in Nadia for another six months if accepted."
From the way the man described the situation, it sounded like he was talking about Shadow. Sous didn't say anything though. Once the boat stopped at the settlement, they all go off.
Sous had been getting back in the mood with her magae and abilities. It was slow at first but the four months allowed her to catch up. She had gained weight, has gotten faster then going from tree to tree, and even went out and purchased herself a wand.
Back when she was in prison, she had to use a loaner wand but now she finally had one of her own. She took it out of her pocket and walked the planks with her teammates. When they began to thread through the swamps, Sous followed after with her claws extracted.
Shadow went to his office on the boat and pulled out a piece of paper that was flown to him by a messenger bird. A smile came across his face when he saw Sous was accepted to work under him along the river but there were rules she had to follow. One being she wasn't allowed to go to certain areas of Nadia such as an area called Galeyon, a wolf territory.
"Tsk," he said. "Why wouldn't she be allowed to go there?"
