Sous wrote her name on her test and walked to the front of the classroom to turn her baby in. At twenty-eight, she had recieved her GED from Hacate and was now enrolled in their college courses offered by the prison. Now at the age of thirty, she was majoring in Alchemy. She had five more years left and she wanted to land a job when she got out.
Nadia was off the list for sure, but she had hopeful prospects in Faelock and Conaska even. She walked back to her desk in the classroom and took out a piece of paper. She was going to write her daughter who was already fifteen years old. She shook her head thinking how fast kids grow up.
Tany would bring Fednora to visit her two times a year which would be her favorite times of the year! Tany kept pressuring her to read into Apex and what they were doing to Canas but Sous didn't want to hear it. She was sick of being their slave, a slave to revenge. She was ready to move on with her life.
The instructor, who was a Hunter, floated over to Sous and handed her a pamphlet. It was a pamphlet featuring a start up company in Faelock with a focus on alchemy and herbology.
"Imagine where this company will be in five years," it said to Sous, pointing at the cover with its boney fingers.
Sous took the little booklet and began to read through it while her classmates continued on with their test. She continued to read it while being escorted back to her cave later that afternoon. She placed the pamphlet beside her pillow with the others.
The good thing was the Hunters saw something in her, offered her options and solutions for when she left this place.
Kara and Zhiliary were in bed making love that night. The Omega ran her hands up and down Zhiliary's body, absolutely pleased with her current situation with the exception of Sous.
"Having eight kids makes this difficult," Zhiliary whispered, she licked her lips while she thrusted into her mate below her.
Kids were no longer an option. It was decided the eight one she had some years was it. Her oldest child was nine while her youngest was barely four.
Zhiliary rolled off of Kara and laid down next to her smiling and sweating. Kara turned to her side and touched Zhiliary's face, her chest.
"I'm so happy," the Alpha said.
"Yeah..."
"We did it, Kara, this whole country belongs to Apex," she said.
"You know I don't like talking about this," Kara said, turning to lie on her back. She hated knowing what happened to the other species. With the exception of humans and witches, the other species were placed in ghettos. The witches could do as they please because of the their sheer power and the humans were given second class citizenshio and had to pay a special tax, but besides that, lived relatively well.
Zhiliary also wasn't completely honest about taking all of Canas. There was a small region in the west that the pixies were fighting for. For the past ten years, the wolves struggled with this region. Kara wasn't stupid though. She knew about this region.
"It feels good to be Alpha," she said. Doureena and Monica had left Red Woods and were now living on a beach town, enjoying themselves. Red Woods was now the capital of Canas and Zhiliary and Kara lived in a mansion on the hills. The city now had a population of about two million, majority of them wolves and humans.
Zhiliary rolled back onto of Kara and entered back into her. Kara let out a sigh and wrapped her arms around Zhiliary. Kara kept her eyes on the ceiling even when Zhiliary had finished for the second time and got up to put her boxers on.
"Do you want anything from the kitchen?"
Kara shook her head.
Zhiliary slapped Kara on the thigh. "Go clean up so I can come back and go down on you."
"Just do it now," Kara said.
Zhiliary didn't want to, not after she finished inside of her.
"I'm not in the mood anyway," Kara said, but Zhiliary kept her eyes on the Omega.
"What would you do if Sous came back to Red Woods?"
Kara snapped her head to look at Zhiliary, she was testing the Omega. "I won't break up the family," Kara said.
Zhiliary rubbed Kara's thigh and smiled, then patted it a couple of times. "Good," she said. "Good."
Dear Sous,
Glad to know things are going so well with Fednora. Kids are amazing. Our little ones are not little anymore. I remember when Makala was pregnant with our first child at, like, 18. Then all by the age of 22, she popped out four kids. I popped out one and knew that would be the only kid I physically had. Carrying is so hard. But those five little ones are perfect!
By the way, congrats on getting offer to work at that start up. I hate that they're making you leave Nadia once you're release. I really want you to meet my kids. Oh hey, how about I come pick you up when you get release? Think about it.
Auvoir,
Faye
