Chapter 152 - The Hunters Arc: Five

Sous reached the village of Clarence's village. She informed one of the soldiers who were standing guard at the entrance that she wanted to see him. Say her thanks and goodbye. The soldier denied her request, stating she was a criminal on the run.

The Alpha nodded her head, choosing to not argue with the soldier who stood guard, she waved bye and continued on her way to the Witching Salons. By the time she got there, it was mid afternoon. She jumped off her basilisk, allowing him to puff away until she summoned him again.

Sous knocked on the door of the store front and house. The door open to reveal Glinda who let her in.

"Sous, what have you gotten yourself into?" By this time, news had spread of Sous being search at by the Hunters. How they were tracking her progress, going wherever she went. This meant going to Canas and to Monica and Kara.

"It was an accident," Sous tried to explain herself.

Gortrius came down to the store and placed her hands on her hips. "Was it also an accident to get Tany pregnant?"

Sous didn't answer that question. She felt like she was being baited and if anything, it was something she needed to discuss with Tany about.

"Is Tany here? I want to talk to her."

Gladian entered into the foyer. "She's back in Vania for the break but if you like, you can see your baby." She took Sous to their lab and showed her the growing fetus within the artifical womb. "We were able to get a good deal on this womb."

Sous lifted her hand up and touched the glass. So this was her child then. She smiled and stepped away, hoping once born, Tany will allow her to see it.

She turned to the three sisters and hugged them, now taller than them easily. "I'm sorry for all of this."

"You're going to be gone for a while, Sous," Glinda said.

Sous knew, for each time she ran, the Hunters were putting more time on her. She bowed her head and nodded. That was fine for her, as long as she could say bye and apologize to everyone she had harmed.

Sous ran up the steps to Tany's house as she remembered where it was. She knocked on the door and waited for it open, seeing her parents were home.

"Is Tany here?" Sous asked the mother.

The woman shook her head and told Sous Tany was out. Sous thanked her and immediately went to the garden of the vampire statues who were turned to stone due to a basilisk.

From a distance, Sous could see Tany sitting on some fallen pillars with Icarus by her side. When the bird saw Sous, he let out a gawk that alerted the witch. She turned around to see the Alpha walking toward her.

"Can I sit down?"

Tany shrugged her shoulders, allowing Sous to sit down next to her. The two girls were quiet, each thinking of their own ways of speaking to the other.

Sous sighed, keeping her eyes on the light blue sky. Time wasn't necessarily on her side but she didn't want to rush this moment with Tany, so she allowed herself to listen to the faint sound of buzzing and rattling that came from near by insects, and the scurrying of small little rodents.

"Tany, I'm sorry," Sous said aloud, finally. "I don't really know what else to say besides that."

Tany just kept quiet, her wand in her hand in which she swirled around her two fingers.

"I saw the child..."

Tany snapped her head to Sous, putting the wand down.

"She's going to be beautiful," Sous said, a smile expressing how proud she was of her daughter. "Are you going to let me see her, be involved with her?"

"I don't know," Tany admitted. "Does it matter? You're going to be in jail for years after this. Its not like she'll be able to come see you whenever she wants. You can't be involved with her life because you'll be behind bars. The most I can do is tell her of your existence."

Sous had asked Faye for coordinates to Makala's house as a result of wanting to see her. By the time, she got to the vampire town, it was night and it was at this time Makala began to stir in her bed room.

Knock, knock!

"I'll get it!" She called to her parents from downstairs in the kitchen. She ran to open the door to see Sous standing before her. She slouched her shoulders and took her in.

Makala touched the bridge of her nose and pointed where Sous could sit on the sofa. "Faye told me you were coming," she said.

"Is Faye here?"

The vampire shook her head. "Would you like some blood?"

Now it was Sous' turn to shake her head. She leaned forward in her sit and folded her hands together. "I just came to apologize. That's it." Makala raised her head to look at the Alpha. "I hurt you that day in the library and I'm sorry for that.

Sous got up and stood before Makala. She stood as well and the two gave one another a hug.

"I hope you and Faye stay good to each other."

"I hope to marry her and begin a family," Makala said.

"Is that what you want?" Sous inquired, never really knowing what Makala wanted out of life, but the sixteen year old nodded her head.

"All I want is to take care of her and the kids," she said to Sous sitting back down.

"Would you live here?"

Makala laughed. "No," she said. "I'll be moving to the Bayous. I want to meet her family, speak her language, and know of her magic." That would mean Makala would know three languages then since spoke Den Den as her native and Atin as her second.

Sous had a faint shade of pink wash over her face. "How...how will you start a family? Faye isn't an Alpha."

"A procreational spell, there are many of them." Makala didn't mention the witch and what was proposition to them that some time ago. "We already talked about wanting five...well, I want five. And we will start once Faye has a full time job as a spirit healer. Sadly, people die every day so its an industry always needing people."

Sous was unaware of this and wanted to know more but simply didn't have the time. She hugged the vampire once more and stepped out into the snow.

Sous rode little baby basilisk into the royal city to visit Petun and the newly appointed princess, Aticus. Just like with Clarence, she didn't think she would be let in, but to her surprise, the guards stepped aside to welcome the Alpha into the castle.

Sous was escorted to the throne room where Petun was waiting for her without the King and Queen and without the new wife. Petun got up from her chair and walked to Sous, hugging her.

"Tell me it was an accident, Sous," the Princess pleaded.

"It was an accident...it truly was, Little Poop."

The Princess hugged Sous deeply, thanking her for everything she had done for her. If it weren't for Sous, she wouldn't have become human again or married the love of her life. Still, there were two more people Sous had to go see: her mother and then Alana, and then, she would turn herself in.
