Chapter 153 - The Hunters Arc: Six

Sous quickly allowed little baby basilisk to puff away when she got to Faelock due to how cold it was and the environment being not a good suit for a reptile. Sous scaled a tree and began to extract her claws to run to her grandfather's home.

She burst through the doors and found her mother sitting on the couch crocheting. She looked up at Sous surprised to see her daughter there. She placed her items down and went to daughter.

The snow in Sous' hair began to to melt and she hugged her mother.

"What are you doing here?"

"I accidentally killed someone at school and I'm going to be taken by the Hunters," she exclaimed. "I just wanted to see you one last time before they take me. I wanted to tell you that I'm not a monster and it was all an accident, and I wish it hadn't happened." The Three G's were right. They told her early on to mind Gladius but...

Her mother just looked at her and shook her head. The two only had found one another, only for Sous to be taken away. Elevyn wasn't from Nadia nor had she ever lived there. She didn't know the rules or protocol but she hugged her daughter tighter. Like Sous said, they were unsure of how long she would be gone.

"Where's grandfather?"

"At the city hall. Do you want to see him?" Her mother asked, pulling away just a bit.

Sous nodded her head. She hugged her mother one last time and exited from the house. She took the bridges that connected the trees to get to the council, taking her time as she did so.

Artreus was standing outside when she landed on the platform. He shook his head when he saw her, and pulled her into a hug as well. His wings flapped slowly, engulfing the two of them.

Sous never knew how comforting it was to be within his wings. It was like all light was cut off except for a dark hue that allowed in small spots of faded light.

"Where are you going now?"

"The Island of Dimona. I want to speak to the Princess Alana and...I want to go see Zan...a friend...but I don't know where he lives so I'll have to write on it to another friend," she exclaimed.

Sous moved away from the hug and told her grandfather she loved him as she did with her mother and walked on.

It took a couple of weeks for Sous to get out of Faelock, mainly because of the cold weather that prevented her from summoning little baby basilisk.

She was now in the water riding on top of little baby basilisk to the Dimona. She landed on shore softly and dry and waved off her pet. She proceeded to walk to the transportation center and made her way to the royal palace.

Even though news had got out about Sous being on the run, Alana had figured Sous would come to her. She prepared and told her guards to let her in without any problems.

Sous walked into the halls and was greeted by many of the staff. She was led into the throne room where just like in Conaska, Alana sat with her parents, the King and Queen, her younger siblings no where in sight.

Alana stepped down from the throne in her most elegant dress and walked to Sous. She took the Alpha's hand and together they left.

They walked down to the beach together where Sous arrived in silence. Once the princess kicked off her shoes, allowing her toes to sink in the sand, she turned to the Alpha.

Sous reached out and hugged the beautiful woman. Alana touched Sous' face and wrapped herself in the Alpha's strong muscular frame. Now that Sous was older, more grown, it didn't feel awkward in such a stance.

The elf princess rubbed Sous' back, feeling her shoulder blades, her indents where the muscles formed, where her wings were growing in. She began to wonder what it have been like to be with this Alpha.

Alana had never come across such a leader, a furocious one at that. The Princess couldn't think of anyone who was even worthy to stand by her side with the crown besides for Sous.

She didn't say those things to the Alpha though, for Sous was in love with another.

"Sous..." she whispered.

Sous' jaw clinched and she tighten her hug around her friend.

"I'm sorry it has come to this."

"Its my fault and I'm sorry. It was all an accident." Sous watched the elf nod to her.

Sous let go of Alana and sat down in the sand, also taking her shoes off.

"Are you going to wait for the Hunters?" The Princess asked.

"Yes..."

The Princess sat down next to Sous. "Then I'll wait with you." And the two would remain together until the Hunters arrived, hand in hand.

The Hunters soared from one place to the next. They went from campus to the Bayous where the locals had nothing to report. They then proceeded to Canas, over the border and into Red Woods upon tracking Sous' magae.

Monica ran up the stairs and got her wand. She ran to her daughter's room,"Kara, get your wand. I need you to help me perform a spell called Fulmen. Its to deter Hunters. Do you know it?"

Kara got up from lying on her bed and took her wand that was on the dresser. She placed her shoes on and followed her mother.

"Yes, but why?"

"The Hunters are coming for Sous. They tracked her magae here. We need to send them away," Monica explained, opening the door.

"But everyone will know we're witches," Kara whispered.

They were outside now and the area was busy with family and friends for the holidays, but the talking calmed when the sky became dark and the Hunters soared in the sky.

Most of the wolves probably never even heard of a Hunter, let alone seen one. They ran and hid, stayed where they were to see what creatures were these.

Monica and Kara managed to get to the center of town. They waved their wands back and brought it forward as per the teaching of the spell. As the Hunters soared through out town and toward them, they yelled out in unison-

"FULMEN!"

A bright bluish white light came from their wands with such power. It blinded the Hunters, causing them to retreat and screech out.

Monica looked at her daughter, not expecting such power to come from her wand. "Wow," she said to herself.

"Mom..."

Monica turned to her daughter who waved her eyes at the crows. Monica looked around her, all the wolves were staring at them, coming out from their hiding places. They were in awe, shocked that the Omegress was...was a witch and so was her daughter.

Doureena now had to think what to do next while she and Zhiliary stood on steps of the city hall, managing to see the whole thing.

"Wow," Zhiliary said. "Kara is amazing."

Doureena nodded her head. That power would make anyone flee.
