Sous soared toward a wolf on a tree, with a motion that was just a blur to the beast, she slit his throat open, cutting the artery that supplied most of his blood.
The wolf and his fellow comrades around him didn't have time to react. There was an attempt for him to grab his throat, but he lost so much blood within seconds that he fell from the tree.
Sous jumped onto the city hall roof and raised her sword. Paya and Deacon clinched their teeth, their canines showing.
"SOUS! GIVE US THE WOMAN!" Deacon yelled from his post, all of the wolves were in their werewolf form watching Sous. Both elites knew they would not be able to match Sous with her strength. She could slaughter them all.
They also didn't know she was going to be present in Faelock at this time...
The fairies flapped downward onto the branches and Atreus landed next to his granddaughter, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Deacon stepped forward to speak to whom he believed was the clan leader. "All we want is the woman."
"THAT WOMAN IS MY MOTHER!" Sous yelled.
Since landing in Faelock, Elevyn was being kept in the hospital, resting. They were keeping watch over her vitals and checking for wounds, doing her best to get her weight up. When she arrived, she had weight just a mere eighty-seven pounds.
"AHHH!"
SLAM!
Sous' hand was wrapped around Deacon's throat. The other hand with the sword. She squeezed his throat, doing the same thing that she did to the madam back in Caroland.
CRACK!
Tany shot an electric spell toward Sous. She let go and fell from the tree. She extracted her claws and took hold of another branch, and flipped herself over it.
She looked at Tany, glaring at the witch.
"You need to find another way, Sous," she screamed from the other side.
"YOU DON'T KNOW THEM, TANY! THEY ARE ALL EVIL!" Sous yelled back.
The children who were in the Faelock academy during the Navititas break were ushered into the auditorium. Fairies surrounded them on all sides creating a perfect protective circle, similar to an elephant herd protecting calves.
Monica ran down the halls going from one building to the next by scaling trees and jumping onto one platform after another.
She landed on the platform of the auditorium and walked inside. She was met with suspicion and the fairies to the front flanked to her, surrounding her.
She took out her wand and held it up, and placed it on the ground. "I'm here for my daughter. Kara...Apex." She was hesitant to say the surname, unsure if the fairies would instantly recognize as the pack who was attacking them.
Monica was led to the children and was able to see Kara with some group of students. She called out to her but when Kara looked at her, she didn't recognize her mother.
Monica twirled her wand, breaking the cloaking spell that she used to hide from the Apex pack.
"Mommy!"
Kara ran to her and hugged her. The young Omega was growing, she was taller, standing at about five feet. Her hair was now passed her waist. Her breast were growing in and she had her heat cycles every quarter.
"Why are you still here?" Monica asked. "You should be at home. Its Navititas break."
"I sent a letter home asking if I could spend the break here to study more," Kara explained.
"I never got that letter," Monica said.
"Don't worry, Siree did."
Monica hugged her daughter once more and took off from the school. She scaled her way to the city hall where she heard the battle taking place. She extracted her claws but didn't transform into her werewolf form, not wanting to be confused for an enemy.
"I'M NOT JUST GOING TO LET YOU KILL THEM, SOUS!" Tany yelled.
"THIS IS WAR!" Sous yelled back.
A wolf jumped from a nearby tree and slammed into Tany, knocking her off the tree she was holding onto. Sous screamed out for her and dove down between theb branches to catch her before she landed roughly on the ground, possibly even injuring herself.
Sous used her momentum to push herself toward a tree where she then kicked off it to allow her to launch herself toward Tany.
She caught Tany just in time before hitting the ground. "See," Sous said. "They won't hesitate to kill you so you need to not hesitate to kill them."
Sous scaled up the tree with Tany using her wand to float back up to the top of the building.
The fairies soared down and attacked the wolves. They threw the wolves into the air with such force that when gravity brought them down, they landed roughly onto the snow.
"Gladius!" Tany called out a more powerful spell attack with the sword spell. On the ground, she was able to conjure up dozens of swords that stuck out from the ground.
The wolves that fell below, fell to their deaths when they became impaled into the weapons.
Fairies were stronger than the wolves, easily snapping the wolves' necks, backs, legs when they physically got a hold of them.
"RETREAT!" Deacon called out to his soldiers. In an instant, the wolves left their post and began to sprint back to the camp.
Sous glared at them and began to follow while the fairies and Tany stayed behind. She wasn't going to let them get away.
From the top of the tree tops, Monica landed onto the city hall. She looked around, seeing the fairies gather around one another.
Atreus walked to Monica, his wings fitting perfectly on his back. "Sous is chasing after them. They retreated," he told her.
Shadow heard the retreat but just like Sous began to follow them. He pulled out his shot gun and shot one wolf in the leg, watching it fall from the tree.
Another wolf jumped at him but he flipped on his back on a branch, and shot the shot gun upward, blowing the head off of the wolf. Blood splattered onto Shadow as he got up.
He jumped to the next tree and saw three wolves onto his left side. He took switch his shot gun out for his 9mm glock.
Shadow aimed at the three wolves separately.
BANG, BANG, BANG!
First bullet hit the head of the first wolf. Second bullet hit the midsection. And the third bullet hit the neck of the final wolf. All three fell to the snow below.
They made it out of the trees and Shadow knew the wolves were heading to the coast. From there, they would make their way back to Canas.
Rocks replaced threes with Shadow running on his two feet. With no foliage or trees to block his few, he could see Sous up ahead chasing them on all fours.
"What are you planning to do?" He asked, and like she ran his mind through telepathy, Sous jumped into the air and landed on the other side, in front of the now one hundred and fifty or soldiers who were still alive.
Paya and Deacon stopped in their tracks. Sous jumped up once more, her sword had since disappeared but her fist were still blue with flames, she punched into the ground.
CRACK!
The ground beneath them began to separate starting from Shadow and onward. Shadow stopped running just in time, for he almost fell into the breaking Earth. If so, he'd had landed on the rocks below.
He saw Sous in the distance, the blue light radiating from her. He didn't call out to her...she had her own plan.
