Chapter 119 - The Summoning Arc: Seven

Faye finished packing her bags for the weekend trip. She placed one on her shoulder and the other one on her back. Just a few moments later, she teleported to one of the many teleportation stations in Grim, Conaska.

She stepped off the platform amongst the others and walked to the exit. Over towards the center of the front that led to the main road was a map. Faye stepped to it and searched around for the residential area she was looking for.

She smiled when she came across it. She took out her needles and proceeded to thread to the area.

The village of Grim was a small village, mostly known for their vampire population and their blood trade that Faye knew all too well thanks to the mishap that took place on the train that semester back.

She landed into the snow when she came to the residential area and knocked on the door of the house.

A woman with a scarf over her head answered it stepping out into the night. "You must be Faye," she said to the young priestess. "Makala is in her room." She stepped to the side and allowed Faye to enter.

It was an old fashion kind of house. Nothing modern to it beyond the sinks and the toiletries. When she looked back at Makala's mother, the woman pointed for her to continue down the hall then up the stairs.

Faye tapped on the door and heard Makala scream out. "Come in!" She entered into the room and saw the vampire sitting at her desk doing homework. Even though she wasn't physically at the school, she still attended.

Faye placed her bags down as Makala ran into her arms and hugged her. The first thing Faye noticed when Makala stepped back was the horrendous burn mark on the left side of her face.

The priestess reached out and touched it and Makala found herself folding into Faye's hand. She missed her so much. "You're taller."

Faye laughed. "This is nothing compared to Sous."

Makala found herself laughing. She led Faye by the hand to her bed and the two sat down.

It was like a dream for Faye to be here with her. Her eyes just never left the girl.

"When are you coming back?"

Makala laid on her bed with her arms behind her head. "The doctor gave me permission to go back next semester. So two more months and Ill be back on campus."

Faye outlined some of the decorations on the blanket they were sitting on. "I'm sorry about all of this."

Makala gave a small smile to Faye and placed her hand on her friend's. "Its not your fault." She said softly, moving close to Faye.

Faye swallowed when she looked into Makala's eyes and...and she leaned in and kissed the vampire on the lips.

Shocked by her own admission, she jumped back but Makala took hold of her arm and brought her closer again. A little hesitation but their mouths met once more. Their lips interacting and pulling at the other, wanting more of a taste.

DING, DING, DING DONG!

Faye jumped off the bed and looked at Makala. "What's that?"

"The bells are ringing because a vampire was caught by the grim at the Church." Makala stood up, a bit irritated the bell had to ring at that moment. That she wanted to continue to interact with Faye's lips some more.

"Grim."

"There's a reason why our village is called Grim. Humans built up churches around us to stop us from biting them. The grims are the dogs that guard the churches and the perimeter of the grim," Makala explained.

"Well, why is a vampire at the chuch then?"

Makala sighed. "Human blood. Once they cross the churches, they get to the humans. There are traps such as the grim, the crucifixes, and holy water but sometimes the humans aren' quick enough and a vampire manages to get through."

"Do you drink humam blood?"

Makala casted her eyes to the side, ashamed. "Yes." Faye became disappointed. "I can stop...for you." She said grabbing onto Faye. She had her now, she lov...she didn't want to let her go. She could give up human blood.

Faye looked down at Makala and shook her head. "You should...you're feeding the industry. We almost died because of it."

At that moment Faye told Makala what happened on the train last semester when they were heading to Conaska. She mentioned the vampires, the dead humans, the barrels, her being shot at.

Faye knew the humans were doing all they could to protect the churches, the spirits, and their own lives but humans could only do so much. Priests and priestesses were best suited for this role.

Makala looked Faye over, knowing she was thinking of something. She took Faye's arm and leaned into her. Makala brought Faye's face to her and kissed her once more.

"AAAAHHHHHH!" Sous screamed at a first year student who knocked her over snowman. With a sweat drop near her head, Tany held Sous back even with a small smile on her face.

"It was an accident." Tany said to Sous.

"No, it wasn't he did it on purpose." She forced herself out of Tany's hands and circled her arms. She slammed one onto the ground. "Tilkalde!"

"SOUS!"

The red seal appeared and little baby basilisk arose with Sous on top of its head. The boy she was chasing after began to run quicker now that a entire large snake was chasing him. He had blue wavy tears streaming down his face as he ran frantically through the outside campus.

"Levitas!" Tany screamed out as she pointed her wand at Sous. Sous began to float in the air. She wiggled her arms and legs as she spun around in the air.

Little baby basilisk stopped chasing the boy and instead looked at his owner who appeared to be fighting air. Tiny little sweat drops appeared over his body and poof . He was gone.

Tany ran to Sous and released the spell. The girl fell face first into the snow. She got to her knees and proceeded to roll a small snow ball.

Tany sighed. Sous could be such a child sometimes. She walked over to the girl and sat beside to build a new snowman.

"I wonder how things are going for Faye and Makala," Tany said at dinner.

Sous shrugged her shoulders and stuffed the noodles into her mouth. "Who knows. I'm sure all is well."

Zan pushed his plate to the side and rested his head on his hand. "Maybe they'll be girlfriends when she gets back." He was such a romantic, forever thinking about that couple or this couple. Listening in on the most recent gossip convering relationships here at Hacate.

"Too bad Makala can't go to the dance," Randali mentioned, drinking her milk.

Sous began to think, the others going from her mind. To her, the days were just speeding by. Already it was close to Novembris and then soon Decembris and boom, the next semester.

She finished her noodles and stared at her plate. She was able to do so much this semester that she hoped next semester would be filled with just as much joy such as finding out where her mother was.

"Sous?"

Sous looked up to see her friends staring at her. She gave them a small smile as if to say all was good. They remained looking at her though.

"I was just thinking how fast time was flying," she said. "Next year, Ill be fifteen going into my fourth year. Where did it all go?" She said softly.

Tany rubbed Sous behind her neck, touching her face softly. Sous looked lovingly at Tany, appreciating all the witch had done for her. Tany turned away feeling her face turn warm.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me," Randali started. "I forgot I was gonna teach you more about hunting, heat and rut cycles as well."

Zan laughed as both Sous and Tany's faces became as red as a tomato.
