The female vampire went to her knees while she held onto her broken shoulder. Sous kicked her in the face where she flew back into the wall.
Sous walked to the vampire slowly as the vampire began to plead out and beg. Sous hadn't any desire to hear from this vampire. She was sure the humans were also pleading just as loud as this vampire was now.
The lead vampire felt his female teammate was on the verge of dying. Him and the other four vampires flew towards their comrades in hopes of getting there before the magae killed her.
"Tsk," when he and the others boarded this train, he lacked any awareness magae would be present.
He flew in and out of the windows but he soon felt her slip away.
"Wait!" One of the other vampires called out.
The lead vampire turned back into his former self. He looked at his comrades.
"We can't just go rushing in. Something is killing them."
The lead vampire swallowed, waving his hand through his hair. He turned to the doors that lead to the other carts.
"Yeah, Darius is an amazing gun slinger and for him to just be taken like that...that's crazy, man."
"They're or it or whatever is going to take us down one by one," the other said.
The lead vampire shook his head. "We don't know that. There's five of us. We can take them on. Come on!"
He dispersed into a dozen bats along with the others.
Sous, Faye, and Tany stood up straight, staring straight ahead as the bats flew into their cart. The lead vampire looked at the three girls, appalled to see kids before him.
On the ground, he saw the female vampire, dead. A needle through the heart as the final blow. Faye stepped forward and took the needle. Wiping the black dark blood from the unbeating heart onto her pant leg.
He glared at them, the remaining five of them dispersed into bats and surrounded the girls.
Tany held her wand up, Sous held her wand up with her seals burning, and Faye held her needles in position.
It was Sous that charged first. She jumped forward to the dozen groups of bats. She used her wand to stab herself in the neck. Releasing her seal, her arms transformed into the numerous sharp blades.
She flung forward and began to tear many of the bats apart. Their body parts falling to the ground.
Faye threw her needle, piercing it through the organs of the bats, having them fall down onto the ground dead.
Tany jumped onto a seat and held her wand up. She brought forth an electric surge that targeted only the bats.
The lead vampire fell to the ground, forming into his whole self. He stood up to his knees and looked at his teammates. They were dead dismembered before him.
"But why!?" He screamed at Sous and the girls. "They're only human. They mean nothing to you."
Little Poop jumped onto a seat and then onto Sous shoulder. She jumped forward while Tany called her spell. Little Poop transformed into Princess Petun.
The Princess stood before the lead vampire. She wore her elegant gown with her hands before her, glasped together.
"Do you know who I am?" She asked.
Sous smacked her lips. "I wasted this seal on nothing. I thought the other opponents were going to be stronger. I should have used it earler."
The Princess turned to Sous with a vein poking out of her hand and her fist balled to her side. She stomped her foot on the train floor.
"Sous, I was talking!"
"Oh, sorry."
Petun rolled her eyes and flipped her hair. She composed herself and questioned the vampire again. "Do you know who I am?"
The vampire nodded his head. "Did you have to kill them?" He said, and she could have swore she almost saw a tear start to fall.
She scuffed at his remark. "Did you have to kill them?" She asked referring to the humans.
The lead vampire placed his head down, ashamed.
"You killed the conductor. We're not mechanics."
"We can easily repair the train," Tany said.
"Yeah, there's a spell for that." Sous also chimed in.
The vein started moving on the princess forehead. "GIRLS!"
The lead vampire reached out to grab the princess. Sous slashed his arms and stabbed him the heart.
She slowly allowed him to drop to his knees, his hands holding onto her blades. He looked up at her. "We were just trying to survive."
"So were these humans." She said. She pulled her blades out and he collapsed onto the floor of the train.
"I'm not really sure I want to join any clubs or teams," Kara said. She was in the kitchen late in the evening helping Aticus prepared bread for the following breakfast.
It had been a pleasant day and a start to the weekend. Just in the background, the radio was playing. Often times Aticus was alone in the kitchen especially at night. Listening to the radio allowed to hear what was happening around her.
"Breaking News! We bring you breaking news! Princess Petun of Conaska is alive. She was founded to be on a train with three children of Hacate."
Aticus immediately stopped what she was doing and turned to the radio. Seeing how the wolf was entranced by it, Kara also turned to listen.
"It had been revealed the royal princess was turned into a rat by a wolf during the war of wolves and humans. She had been living as a rat for almost three years until these three children helped her. Whats your name, girlie?"
"My name is Sous and I'm from Red Woods, Canas!"
"Sous!"
Aticus looked over at Kara. She was going to ask who this Sous was but wanted to hear the rest of the news story.
"Tell us, Sous, what happened?"
"I don't know. She was turned into a fattie."
Kara smiled during the entire duration of the segment. Leave it up to Sous to go helping someone although it was too bad all those humans lost their lives. She went back to helping Aticus make the bread.
When she looked over at Aticus, she saw the wolf's face was bright red and cheerful.
The train was moving again even though they had to transfer to another one. Tany and Faye were asleep once more while Little Poop rested in the other seat.
She was able to be human for just a few hours to allow herself to call for help from the communicator in the conductor's lounge. She was able to alert the kingdom and her family who alerted the news about the princess being discovered.
It had taken several hours for things to get back on track and they were definitely going to be late going back to school but at least they were step one further into turning Petun back to human.
