"Is the Duke finally not occupied now?"
Clint turned slightly at the voice and saw a man leaning casually against a pillar. The moment Clint met his eyes, the man stood up straight with grace and poise.
Clint gave a polite bow and stepped to the side, answering, "Yes. He's available now."
The man offered a small, refined smile. "Thank you," he said, before heading toward the Duke's office and disappearing inside.
Clint stared after him, muttering to himself, "Which family is that guy from?"
Shaking his head, he turned and walked off, heading back to his usual post. As the day passed, Clint resumed his duties repairing, checking the estate's equipment, sorting minor things the staff needed help with. But every now and then, he noticed the maids glancing at him.
He sighed.
"Again?" he grumbled under his breath.
