The reason for that kind of Gift is because of Yamato—that sword has the ability to separate man from demon. With it, I might be able to save Chae Jinyoon, and if that doesn't work, I could kill him.
Vergil was able to kill demons easily thanks to having Sparda's blood, which made him even stronger, so killing someone bedridden with a Devil's Seed would be simple.

The same applied to Weapon Mastery and Hand-to-Hand Combatant.
In DMC lore, both Dante and Vergil could use any weapon as soon as they touched it, and were powerful in hand-to-hand combat.
Mystery Body must be related to their enhanced regeneration and ability to recover from nearly any wound.
Although everything was incredible, it made me wonder—what else had changed?
"Did my wish alter this world too much? Or did I bring DMC elements into this world?"
I thought about it for a moment but decided to focus on the Gift.
"Dimensional Edge. The ability to cut space... Is it Yamato? I specifically asked for Vergil's power, so it makes sense that Yamato would be part of it, but..."
What caught my attention was the Gift [???], since I had only asked for one Gift—so having another didn't make sense.
"Could it be a mistake? Or maybe it's Devil Trigger. Dante and Vergil had to awaken their demonic powers, so that Gift might be inactive, which is why it's showing up like that."
I thought about it for a moment, but even if I tried to guess, I couldn't know for sure... for now.
I looked at the katana on the floor and picked it up. Unlike the first time, now I felt like I knew exactly what to do.
I took my stance, and with a quick draw, I performed three slashes and sheathed the sword again.
"This really is different… With this Gift, I can actually do what I want."
I strapped the katana to my waist and went to check myself out—I didn't know if my face had changed after getting Vergil's powers.
When I looked in the mirror, I saw that my face had changed. I didn't need to try to see it—it was clearly different. My skin was pale and fair.
I used to look pretty average, but now I looked much more attractive. It resembled Vergil's appearance, but not entirely. My hair was a mix between brown and white.
"I guess my appearance fused with his. Now I can actually see my face—that's a plus. Same name, but different appearance and mindset... well, I don't know if the mindset changed, since I don't know how the original one was."
I stood silently in my room.
"I should stop talking to myself. Better to find where the training grounds are so I can start testing my skills."
It was 10:00 AM, so I had plenty of time before nightfall, and Cube wouldn't begin for another two days.
I left my room with my katana and went to explore Cube.
What interested me most were the training grounds, the morning training field, and of course, the cafeteria.
I walked through the academy—it was really beautiful.
There were holograms in various shapes and everything was well-lit.
I wandered around just admiring the place, until I realized I had lost track of time.
I had to use my smartwatch to locate the training grounds. According to the map, they were east of the dorms, so I headed that way.

It was a huge place. Still all white, but with some bleachers to watch people train—or to rest after training.
It was impressive, but not what I was after.
There were two places that caught my interest: the gravity room and the training room.
I walked up to one of the training rooms and raised my smartwatch to it.

It was a room about 20x20 meters, completely white, formed from white cubes.
"Pretty and spacious. I guess it's meant to give enough room to train."
I walked to the center when a robotic voice spoke.

My voice triggered a hologram that appeared in front of me.

The hologram transformed into a large-sized wolf.

"I guess that means enemies keep coming. No."
The wolf growled and lunged at me. I dodged and decapitated it in one swift slash.

"That was too easy. It feels different. I didn't even need to use the Gift."
I paused for a moment. "All this... just because I asked for Vergil's power as a Gift?" I didn't quite understand it, but I accepted it.
Dimensional Edge, an evolutive Gift. Grade 7, without even training—though that message did say it would be as if I'd always had it, so it makes sense it's that high if Lucien Cross always had it.
Realizing I was talking to myself again, I reactivated the training.
"Two enemies. Stage 1. No continuous mode. I'll test it step by step."
Two wolves appeared, but instead of waiting for them to attack, I rushed in and used the Gift, slashing through the air and cutting them in half.
