As Xueying and Fusheng got to Master Jiang's office, Fusheng discovered that the Master Jiang was that white haired young man that approved her admission to the Academy. She still could not understand why someone this young would be the Master of such a prestigious institution, but decided to ask Xueying the history about it later.
Master Jiang on seeing the both of them, said to Fusheng "The academy has been sending you letters since the moment you lost your cultivation, but you rejected every single letter but this one, may I ask why?"
Fusheng smiled and said "What if I told you that I never got any of those previous letters?"
Master Jiang stared at her silently, Fusheng took it as her cue to continue speaking.
"I was even told that my admission was revoked, I even got a rejection letter. The fact that I got this letter is an actual miracle."
Master Jiang nodded "Now it actually makes sense, thankfully you got here just in time. Now that you are here, it is not going to be easy."
Master Jiang paused for a while before continuing "That reminds me, Miss Meng Fusheng, your grandfather was a renowned figure in this very institute, as a result there is a special courtyard that was reserved specifically for you by your grandfather late General Meng Wanning. It has already been prepared for you with all necessities already in place. Would you like to move into it?"
Fusheng was caught off guard by the words of Master Jiang, she never expected her grandfather to have already arranged a courtyard for her at the academy, even before she got admitted. That showed his faith and believe in her abilities, and she had almost lost that opportunity because of her foolishness. Her eyes watered, she turned her face away and received a handkerchief from Xueying.
Fusheng turned to Master Jiang again and asked "Why did the Academy no give it to Meilan, after all she goes around bearing the Meng Family name?"
Master Jiang answered patiently "it is because late General Meng Wanning specifically gave your name while he prepared the courtyard, I do not wish to disobey the instructions and besides General Meng Wanning did not officially recognize Miss Meilan."
Fusheng smirked very satisfied with the reply, she said "For your question Master Jiang, I will not be moving into the courtyard."
Master Jiang was clearly taken aback by Fusheng's response "Why do you say that? Your grandfather personally prepared that courtyard."
Fusheng gave a little self depreciating smile and said "Firstly is the fact that I feel unworthy of that courtyard, I let my grandfather and mother down, so before I enter into the courtyard I need to prove to myself that I am worthy of that courtyard and every other prestige that comes from the Meng Family name. Secondly many people have their eyes on me, so if I am to take the courtyard, news will spread that I am using my grandfather's name to get benefits, many of them do not think I'm worthy of this admission, so I have to work harder to prove to them that I am not a slacker."
Master Jiang nodded his head in satisfaction he even gave a small smile "Your grandfather would be so proud of you, if he heard this from your mouth. You are indeed right, you have to work twice as hard as the other students at this institute. So from what I get you are saying, you will be staying at the public dorms."
Fusheng nodded and said "Yes, I just have a little request, can I get a room all to myself?"
Master Jiang hesitated for a short while before saying "I guess I can give you that."
Master Jiang then continued "Well since the accomodations are settled, them to the next thing. Although when you submitted your admission letter, you asked to be transferred to the Martial arts unit, but based on the type of admission you got and also on your grandfather's legacy, you will be taking both cultivation and Martial arts class."
Fusheng was pleasantly surprised and her eyes lit up, she had been thinking of how to get into the cultivation class, without getting into trouble and yet her grandfather already had everything settled for her, she really missed her grandfather.
Master Jiang continued "There is a uniform worn in the campus, though not everyday. The uniform will be placed in your room later on. You will start with the beginners class, there is a test in the institute every month, this test determines if one is to progress in class or if they will repeat the class."
He handed over a small book to Fusheng and said "This the rule book, make sure to read it to get accustomed to the regulations of the School. Try as much as you can to stay out of trouble in the academy."
With that he said "I think this is all for now, Welcome to the Royal Dragon Academy, Miss Meng Fusheng."
Fusheng happily bowed before stepping out with Xueying in tow, as they were about leaving the courtyard a staff gave her the key to her assigned room.
As they stood outside watching the twinkling stars, Fusheng turned to Xueying and asked "What now?"
Xueying said "I think we should go and have dinner."
Immediately she said that, Fusheng stomach growled, making the two girls to laugh as the headed to the diner.

After Lingjun finished conversing with Fusheng, he turned and walked in the opposite direction of the girls. He took several turns and walked on the lonely path until he stopped in front of a well furnished courtyard. As he opened the gates to enter the courtyard he said to the air.
"Your trailing skills seems to have become weaker than before, I could sense you from a mile away."
And out of nowhere, the Crown prince appeared and said nervously "Greetings imperial brother."
Lingjun smirked and said "Are you going to remain standing there or are going to come inside?"

Back when Fusheng was the rising talent in the capital, she was not the only one. There was another talent in the capital, specifically in the Emperor's palace, that was the former Crown prince and the present first prince.
He was a child prodigy, even more talented than Fusheng, born a few years before Fusheng and the first son of the Emperor and the previous Empress. He was so talented that at the age of 5, he was already making contributions in the court. He mastered the art of war, his advancement in cultivation had surpassed those of people 20 years older than he was. The citizens said that he was blessed by the gods and that he would make a good Emperor.
The Emperor was very happy with him, out of all the royal sons, he was the most talented.
But all this changed in one night, that very same year that Meng Fusheng lost her cultivation to the strange illness, the former Crown prince lost everything he had.
He was fourteen at that time and was on his way to unlimited success when he suddenly suffered from a very serious qi deviation. That was the first time since he started cultivation that he had a qi deviation attack. The entire palace specifically the eastern palace was in a state of frenzy when suddenly a strange fire fell from the heavens to the eastern palace.
The fire consumed everything within it's reach, and strangely enough it could not be put out, no matter what they did. The fire burned for an entire night and only stopped in the morning. Out of everything in the Eastern palace, whether human, animal or plants, it was only the former Crown prince that survived, but the cost of that survival was that he lost his ability to cultivate.
Things did not end there for him, a malicious rumour started to spread. People in the palace whispered that the Crown prince was an anomaly in the heavens, that he was an abomination and that the heavenly fire that consumed his entire palace was all because of him. They said that if he was not taken control of, that the entire Nation would be cursed and burned to flames because of him.
The rumors started as little whispers and soon graduated to becoming a strong pressure on the Emperor to depose the Crown prince. The Emperor resisted the pressure, he loved the Crown prince the most and he believed that the young boy was not at fault and most definitely did not incur any wrath of heaven.
The pressure soon took the form of the Minister's writing petitions to the Emperor, servants protesting against the Crown prince, but still the Emperor refused to back down.
But suddenly while the palace was abuzz with the issue of deposing the crown prince, the Crown prince suddenly wrote a petition to the Emperor, to grant him the permission to be relieved of his Crown prince duties and to also grant him permission to enter into closed doors. His only plea was for his younger brother from the same mother (the previous Empress) to be made the next Crown prince.
Just like that the previous Crown prince became the First Prince, while his younger brother became the present Crown prince.
Slowly the news spread all over the capital, but as always it was distorted, some said the previous Crown prince became a flesh eating monster, others claimed he drank blood, some even claimed he destroyed all his servants faces, because he was disfigured by the fire in the palace.
This remained unproven because after he was relieved of his Crown prince duties, he was never again seen in the public, even when he sent the petition to his Emperor father, he did not come personally to give it.
Over time this has turned to the truth in the capital, everyone believed that the First Prince is disfigured. And the nation mourned because the list of the greatest talents in a year.

But nobody would have guessed that the disfigured First Prince was the handsome Lingjun (≧▽≦)
