Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 20

As the Politics class ended, the Teacher hurriedly left the class, almost as if he was being pursued by something or someone, the rest of the students saw it as their cue to leave as well because they could not stand the intimidating presence of the two Princes. In no time there were very few people remaining in the class; The Crown Prince, The First Prince, Fusheng, Xueying, Meilan and a couple of girls that hoped to gain the Crown Prince's favor.

The First Prince was staring at Fusheng the entire time, he saw her face light up immediately the Teacher left the class, he could not understand why she was so excited for the class to end. Then an idea came to him, maybe she was excited for lunch, because Lunch was the next thing after the Politics class, he felt this idea made sense besides when he saw her earlier, she looked like she would pass out from hunger.

Just as he intended to invite her out for lunch, she stood up excitedly and said to her friend "I will be back, I have something to do first."

She did not even let her friend reply, she made as if she wanted to jump over the chairs, The First Prince did not know when his hand reached out and pulled her by her collar to a stop...

As the Teacher left the class practically running, Fusheng heard a voice from inside her head "Young Lady ~"

Fusheng widened her eyes and said "Feilong!"

Feilong chuckled and floated around her in his dragon form "I did not think you would miss me this much."

Fusheng rolled her eyes "Of course I did, you suddenly disappeared for a whole day. Do you know how much has happened? Where did you even disappear to? You better have a genuine reason..."

Feilong smiled and said "Let's go somewhere more private, I have a lot to show you."

Fusheng stood up still excited, turned to Xueying and said "I will be back, I have something to do first." She even forgot the two Princes besides her, she saw that someone was blocking her way, so she resulted to jump over the chairs in front and easily leave the class, but before she could even get her leg over the chair, she felt a strong pull in her collar, almost choking her making her abruptly stop.

Feilong paused looking surprised, staring at the masked man pulling Fusheng, he wanted to do something, but decided against it and kept quiet.

Fusheng on the other hand came back to her senses remembering that The First Prince and The Crown Prince were also present. She smiled nervously "Uh..."

The First Prince who was the person holding onto her collar "What did you think you were about to do?"

Fusheng nervously said "I just wanted to leave the classroom."

The First Prince replied "I can obviously see that, why didn't you try to leave the normal way? Don't you know that you're a lady?"

Fusheng inwardly rolled her eyes but continued to keep her smiling face "Yes I know, I just did not want to bother you, so I decided to.."

"Jump like a monkey?" The First Prince interrupted...

Fusheng gritted her teeth, before she could say anything Xueying replied "Your Highness, I believe Fusheng already acknowledges her mistake and she probably had a good reason for wanting to leave."

Fusheng shook her head in agreement with what Xueying said "Yes I acknowledge my fault, Your Highness."

The First Prince glanced at Xueying but said nothing, turned back to Fusheng nodding like a chick pecking on food "Where were you rushing off to?"

Fusheng paused "huh?" she never expected that the First Prince would ask her that question so she did not come up with any excuses "Uh... I was going to..."

She did not finish because Meilan interrupted her, nobody knew when Meilan came close "Your Highness, I am sorry for my sister's clumsiness. My father has been telling her to learn her etiquettes that she was a lady and would one day get married, but she does not take his word seriously, I never expected that she would display it in front of you. Actually my older sister is expecting word today from the Prime Minister's son, you may not know this but the entire capital knows that my older sister is madly in love with the Prime Minister's son..."

Fusheng stopped smiling, but before she could say anything the First Prince replied "Who gave you the right to speak?"

Meilan was shocked clearly not expecting the First Prince to reply, she hurriedly bowed and said "Your Highness, this lowly one is sorry, it's just I could not stand seeing my sister being treated like this, I just had to speak up for her, and in regards to My sister's feelings for the Prime Minister's son, I have proof."

This surprised everyone especially Fusheng, at this point everyone forgot that the First Prince at some time had already released Fusheng's collar.

Seeing as everyone was interested in seeing the proof, Meilan brought out a letter from her sleeves, she said in a helpless voice "Older sister, I am sorry for taking your things without your permission, it's just that I had no other choice but to do it like this, you always deny your feelings for the Prime Minister's son and always make out to be the liar, so I had to look for the proof. Look at this love letter written entirely in your handwriting, professing your love for the Prime Minister's son. I would never lie about this."

Everyone had different expressions from hearing Meilan's speech, Feilong's looks were definitely of someone eating melon (i.e someone enjoying gossip)

Suddenly Fusheng started clapping, she smiled lazily "Wow you are really a genius, just this morning I said that you should impress me with your drama and you really did. Honestly you're wasting your talents on me, just start up a tea shop and you would never lack money. If I was not Fusheng, I would believe this one-sided story of yours, you even got my handwritin. I must say I am really impressed."

Meilan did not expect Fusheng to actually reply, she thought she would be flustered especially with the letter written in her "handwriting", but she actually managed to make her look like a fool. Just as she was still thinking of what to do, she heard the First Prince say "Let me see the letter." She rejoiced thinking that the First Prince at least believed her, which made everything worth the while.

Fusheng turned in surprise to the First Prince, she had thought he was Smart, but if he fell for this silly trick then it means he was downright dumb and did not deserve her respect.

As Meilan made to personally hand the letter to the Prince, a shadow guard suddenly appeared and took the letter from her hands, making her fall on her butt because of the shock.

The Shadow guard immediately tore up the letter into tiny pieces and disappeared just as he appeared. Meilan could not believe her eyes, her hard earned evidence against Fusheng, was gone just like that, not talk about the fact that the First Prince could not even touch the letter in her hands, he had to ask his shadow guard, but he was the person holding Fusheng's collar.

"Meng Wuzhong really raised a daughter, you not only frame others, but you also steal. What a virtuous girl. You dare to mock my intelligence twice in a day, you really have the guts. Don't let this happen for the third time, you will not be able to carry my gift. And don't ever show such disgusting things to me. Get Lost."

Everyone except the Crown Prince was shocked, Fusheng especially saw The First Prince in a new light and flashed a genuine smile. Meilan was thrown out of the class by the Shadow guards still in a daze.

The Crown Prince was not surprised because he knows that his Brother was only teasing Fusheng earlier when he called her a monkey, the First Prince gas even called him the Crown Prince a monkey on several occasions, the Crown Prince shook his head to forget embarrassing memories.

Just as everyone was silent, thinking about what just happened, Fusheng's stomach growled loudly, she flashed her teeth and rubbed her stomach.
