It was after lunch that Fusheng finally had some alone time with Feilong, she was slumped on the bed in her room, rubbing her slightly bulging stomach, she felt that the First Prince wanted to punish her with food, because for some reason he kept adding more food for her.
She sighed, she really couldn't understand these Royal children...
Feilong appeared in his human form, he sat down on the chair in her room, while looking around "This room is even smaller than the servant's room in your family house." He paused glanced at Fusheng and continued "I can't believe they gave this to the mighty General Meng Wanning's granddaughter."
Fusheng chuckled, not bothering to sit up "I actually have a courtyard in this place, well furnished with everything, I could ever need. It was prepared for me by my grandfather."
Feilong's ears perked up at the news "So what are you doing here? What, did they refuse to let you have it or did your evil stepsister get to it first?"
"Noo, Meilan would never dare." Fusheng chuckled "But then, I'm a bit shocked that she did not get her hands on the courtyard, giving the way she has been parading around as my grandfather's granddaughter, but this shows that the Academy's headmaster is a just man."
"You have not yet answered my question " Feilong reminded
"Calm down, I'm getting there." Fusheng continued "Yesterday Master Jiang, the Academy's headmaster told me of the courtyard and asked if I wanted to stay there, that it was mine. But I refused, I felt like I was not yet worthy of the place, and if I moved into the courtyard now, people would ssy that I am relying on my grandfather's legacy..."
Feilong facepalmed "Humans never cease to amaze me, so you decided to live in this shabby place, just to prove that you are worthy. But you know that it was not your fault that you lost your talent and Cultivation, there is an evil stepmother in the story. If your grandfather was alive, he definitely would not blame you and would even be angry with this decision."
Fusheng kept silent for a while before saying "Now you say it like that, it makes sense and I'm getting close to regretting my decision. But this is also why I need to get my revenge and explose the truth to everyone and then nobody will have anything bad to say about me enjoying my grandfather's legacy and wealth."
Feilong did not say anything for a long while, he felt that Fusheng was a bit sad, so he tried to change the topic "Yes that reminds me, who was that young man with the mask earlier, and why didn't I see you getting all snappy with him?"
Immediately the First Prince was mentioned, Fusheng suddenly energized sat up and said while fuming "Oh please, that annoying person is the First Prince. I don't even know why the Crown Prince indulges him, I have never met a confused person like him before, I mean our first encounter he seemed nice helping me and even giving me a sweet candy, then later he acted like I owed him. It's not even up to a full day since we met, but I already feel like I have been dealing with him my whole life."
Feilong just sat on the chair smirking, this was the first time he had ever seen Fusheng so animated when talking about someone or something. She was always acting like she did not care about the things happening around her. But something did not seem right with what she just said, he got rid of his unnecessary thoughts and asked "Did you just say the First Prince?"
Fusheng still immersed in her thoughts did not notice anything particular and replied "Yes, can you imagine? How can there be a First Prince when there is a Crown prince, he is supposed to be the Second Prince. I don't even understand what is going on?"
Feilong sat up straight and said "That is because he is older than the Crown Prince. Young Lady, you should be very careful when dealing with him."
Fusheng paused and stared at Feilong "You know something I don't, right?
Feilong sighed "You know I have been away for more than a day now, while I was wandering around this academy, I came across many spirits especially in the cultivation department. These spirits are actually harmless, but one thing about them is that they gossip a lot, so while I was wandering around, they flocked around me to share some of their stories, and they had a lot of palace gossip to share."
Fusheng raised her perfect brows at him in slight disbelief, Feilong ignored her and continued "They mentioned the First Prince, how is it that you have never heard of the First Prince?"
Fusheng was stumped, she scratched her hair awkwardly "I think that poison messed with my memory, I already mentioned it once."
Feilong sighed and shook his head "Well the story is quite interesting, it turns out that the First Prince was the previous Crown Prince."
"What??" Fusheng asked "What happened?"
"He was a very powerful and talented Crown prince, the Emperor his father loved him the most out of all the royal children, because he was the first child of the Emperor and his lovely wife, the late Empress. He was a child prodigy like you, so talented and exceptional that his path to the throne was already guaranteed, he had the love of the Emperor and the Empress, the Court officials also respected him, his younger brother from the same mother, the present Crown prince did not even want the throne and truly loved his brother, it was as if nothing could stop him, until a fire incident. According to the timeline the spirits provided, I think it happened the same year you lost your Cultivation."
Fusheng was lost in thought, she suddenly recalled a hazy memory, where she overheard the servants in the mansion talking about a great fire from heaven, but she does not remember what happened afterwards.
Feilong continued "That fire descended from heaven straight to the eastern palace, destroyed everything both the people in it, the only person spared was the First Prince, but one major thing was that before the fire began the First Prince suffered from a powerful qi deviation, so while the people in his palace were thinking about how to deal with the qi deviation, the heavenly fire suddenly descended on their palace. It burned throughout the night and none of the efforts to put it out worked. After the Fire, the First Prince lost his cultivation, nobody could tell how he lost it, they just summarized it as a severe qi deviation. After that fire, the Empress his mother suddenly died, then rumours started spreading that The First Prince was a curse and that he would destroy the kingdom, several ministers and Palace workers started petitioning for his impeachment. The Emperor refused to impeach him, because the Emperor loved his son dearly and also he did not believe all the rumour about the First Prince, but suddenly what nobody expected was that the First Prince would write a petition to the Emperor to depose him, and also to asked that his younger brother the present Crown Prince, to be put in tjat position. That is why there is a First Prince and a Crown Prince, some even say that the Fire ruined his face which is why he wears the mask."
Fusheng was taken aback after hearing about the First Prince's story, she actually never expected him to be so pitiful, "Wow, now I hear the story like this, he is actually very pitiful."
Feilong nodded "I think you both have a lot in common, you both fell from grace in the same year, it's a very weird and crazy coincidence."
Fusheng added "Now i understand why he picks on me, he must have seen me as a comrade in sorrow. I really understand now I will try to accommodate him from now on. I will treat him like a lost puppy, or like a junior brother."
Feilong stared at Fusheng and wondered if she had a hole in her head, because how did she come to this conclusion.
Fusheng did not dwell on the First Prince and said to Feilong "Exactly where have you been? Don't try to use the First Prince's story to confuse me."
Feilong chuckled "Don't fret, I have good news, very good news."
Fusheng stared at him with wide excited eyes, she even crossed her legs on the bed "Go on"
Feilong turned serious "As I brought you and that other guy into the Academy, I was so weak, I literally floated away. Luckily like I told you before, this academy has a very good and clear amount of qi, I followed it and I got to a place very dense with Qi, I was nourished by the rich qi there and I have recovered all my strength, I can even transform to a mighty silver dragon, not just a little one. And you know something else, I am now able to help you repair your meridians thst were broken by the poison."
Fusheng stood up excitedly "What? Are you being serious with me now?"
Feilong smiled "Yes I am, I just need to bring you to the place where the qi is fresher, then start the healing process. Just know that it is going to be very painful."
Fusheng nodded "I don't care about the pain, I just need to get better soon. Why don't we do it now?"
"Hmm that could be possible, but the thing is that the place is in the cultivation department, and according to your admission that day, you are part of the Martial arts unit, so you can not easily enter into the Cultivation unit, so I'm thinking of going in the night, using my invisibility power..."
Fusheng interrupted him laughing "Calm down, you've been away so you don't know, but I've been allowed to study cultivation as well, although I don't know why, but it seems my Grandfather planned it all along."
Feilong was surprised "Your grandfather really loved you, he seems to have predicted all this."
Fusheng nodded feeling a bit nostalgic "Yes he did, I need to regain my family's Legacy."
Feilong transformed back to his little dragon self and said to Fusheng "Let's go and get this done, the earlier the better."
With that Fusheng left the room, but instead of heading to the cultivation department, she went straight to the Headmaster; Master Jiang's office. She asked for his permission to be able to have private classes in the cultivation department, she cited that people may likely bully her, because she has lost her cultivation, so she would rather stay on her own and away from the crowd.
Master Jiang stared at her, he knew that she was not saying the truth because Fusheng did not really look like someone who could be bullied. He decided to giver in to her demands because as long as she did not do anything bad or dangerous, it was still good and he really found Fusheng pitiful. He tacitly gave his permission and decided to turn a blind eye to whatever she was going to do in the cultivation grounds.
Fusheng happily left and headed to the Cultivation grounds, because this was the period of rest after Lunch break the entire Academy was a bit dry and quiet as most people were sleeping or doing something else. Fusheng came across a few people along the way, but they did not recognize her and treated her like a normal student, She had conversations with Feilong along the way.
She finally came to the Cultivation department gate, Xueying had previously shown her this place, but this was her first time coming so close to the gate. Up close the gate had a soothing effect that only those with cultivation talent could feel, Fusheng stepped through the gates and felt completely different, even though her meridians were destroyed she still felt something. Now she understood why her stepmother restricted her from attending the Academy, she felt that even without Feilong once she stepped into these walls her Cultivation would revive.
The Cultivation department felt like a whole new world like literally, some buildings were suspended high up in the air, the air was fresher, there were a lot of bamboo groove and tiny flecks of light floating around.
Fusheng stood at a place with her mouth wide open "Wow, this is extraordinary"
Feilong allowed her to relish the sight "I know. Since the poison messed up your memory, you may not know this, but this is very normal in a cultivation realm. This venerable one has been to so many realms, this is the only one I recall that has a combination of Martial arts and Cultivation. Martial arts is mostly physical; physical strength, physical power, physical war. But Cultivation is something entirely different, it deals with spiritual things, spiritual strength which is Qi. If your qi is powerful, you can destroy tens of thousands of soldiers at once with just a wave of your hand, that is why Cultivation has a very huge advantage over Martial arts and why they do not interfere with each other's affairs.
In Martial arts they ride horses, in Cultivation they ride their swords. In martial arts they have normal swords, in Cultivation they have sword spirits and they swords have levels. A low level sword can not stand a high level sword, and you need to bond with your sword. In Martial arts you need high grade weapons, in Cultivation you just need a strong qi. So they are so different, in Martial arts you fight physical enemies, but in Cultivation most times you'll be dealing with spirits, exorcisms and spirit beasts like my type and kind. So little girl, you need not be too surprised you have more to see."
Fusheng was absolutely speechless, she did not even realize when she came to the spot that had the highest concentration of qi. "Wow, this is all so different from what I know but it oddly sounds familiar."
Feilong nodded "Yes it will sound familiar, this is like the first thing they tell you once your body produces qi, it's just you have the brain of a fish. Well, we're here so let's get started."
Feilong materialized into his human self, Fusheng whistled and said "You look more handsome than the last time I saw you, but still Lingjun is even more better looking.
Feilong narrowed his eyes in annoyance "You keep behaving like a wild child, where did you pick up this attitude?"
Fusheng pouted "It's from my grandfather's soldiers."
Feilong sighed and shook his head. He went to the four points of the bamboo groove and muttered some things Fusheng could not hear properly, then he came to Fusheng and tapped her forehead making all her disguise spots fade away, revealing her beautiful face.
Fusheng immediately panicked "What if someone sees me like this?"
Feilong paused stumped, he recovered himself and flicked her forehead "You really do have the brain of a fish, you were not worried about being seen when healing your meridians, it's if people see you "like this". You make me laugh, well if you must know, I sealed up this place and put an invisibility spell, no one stronger than I am can get here, see what goes on here, or hear what we say here, so rest assured little girl your disguise is safe, since no one is stronger than I am." He added with pride.
Fusheng rolled her eyes still rubbing her forehead "You could have just said it, instead of hitting me."
Feilong sighed "Please don't annoy me, go and sit down on the rock and enter into meditation."
Fusheng forgot everything about her forehead and hurriedly did as Feilong said, she sat down cross-legged and waited for his next instructions. Feilong flew up to her, still in his human form and placed his hands on her back and told her to close her eyes, then he started muttering some things and light seeped from his hands to her back and coursed through her body.
Right at that moment the atmosphere changed, the weather became cooler, the bamboo leaves began to fly around, the tiny flecks of light began vibrate with more force and pressure. After a while Feilong stopped muttering and left Fusheng's back then revealed his true form as a giant silver dragon, he also enforced the formation he set up earlier and floated around Fusheng.

As Fusheng closed her eyes, she felt something warm seep in to her body, she felt relaxed and felt that Feilong was probably exaggerating about the pain, but slowly the thing coursing through her body became hot, very hot, meltingly hot. She felt like quitting, shouting, crying out, killing someone and doing nothing at the same time, but she remembered her grandfather and her mother and decided to continue through the process. Soon her body felt so hot she could not think anymore, she did not know why she was there in the first place or why she was being burnt, but she knew she had to finish up with the process. Soon it felt like her insides were burning and melting, like a hot liquid was being produced in her body, she lost her mind in the pain.
