Damon had outdone himself organizing that surprise with the DNA test results. He was always thinking of everything, down to the smallest detail. His thoughtfulness never ceased to amaze me. Tonight, though, I had plans of my own. I was determined to seduce him. We hadn't been intimate since returning home—he'd been treating me like I might break. True, I still had some fading bruises and minor injuries, but nothing serious enough to warrant his excessive caution.
That afternoon after our conversation, I slipped into a lingerie boutique near my office. I purchased a scandalously short cherry-colored nightgown with a dramatic back cutout and matching panties that left little to the imagination. Before bedtime, I made Damon promise to stay awake, claiming I needed to talk to him about something important. Then I locked myself in the bathroom to prepare my surprise.
