I rummaged through my closet, searching for the least appealing sleepwear I owned. My fingers found what I was looking for at the bottom of my drawer - a frumpy flannel nightgown with short sleeves and tiny flower prints. It had buttons down the front and two pockets at thigh level, falling modestly to my knees. Perfect. I paired it with the most unflattering underwear I owned - oversized granny panties that prioritized comfort over sex appeal. The final touch was a ridiculous pink sleeping cap I hadn't worn in ages, complete with an enormous bow that sat right on my forehead. I examined myself in the mirror with satisfaction. No man would find this ensemble attractive. Let Damon try to improve my mood now. After seeing me like this, he'd probably volunteer for night shifts at the police station for weeks.
