Maya's POV
Life had settled back into its familiar rhythm - the predictable dance between home, work, and college lectures. Everything seemed to have returned to normal except for one glaring detail: Damon still wouldn't touch me. Despite showering me with attention and affection, he insisted on waiting until I was fully recovered from my injuries before resuming our physical relationship. The frustration was building inside me; I craved the sensation of his body against mine with increasing desperation.
"I need to do something about this situation, Lana," I sighed, leaning back in my office chair. "He's being too cautious with me."
Before Lana could offer any seduction advice, the phone on my desk rang, interrupting our conversation.
"Collective Sterling, Executive Office, good afternoon!" I answered with genuine cheerfulness, grateful to be back at my desk doing what I loved.
