After leaving a $10,000 deposit behind, Jimmy walked out in a very cheerful mood.
As soon as he stepped outside, a young Black guy called out to him. "Hey bro, hey bro!" the skinny youth shouted, running over.
"What is it?" Jimmy recognized him—he was one of Corey's men.
"We've found that Peter Parker!" the young man said quickly.
"Oh?" Jimmy nodded approvingly. "Take me to him!"
In front of a high school, Jimmy asked the young man in a low voice, "What identity can I use to get inside?"
The young man hesitated for a second, then replied, "Bro, you're Asian. You can pose as an exchange student!"
"Hmm." Jimmy nodded, then pulled a wad of cash from his pocket and stuffed it into the young man's hands. "Can you find someone to take care of it?"
"No problem at all!" The guy nodded furiously.
As the saying goes, money makes the world go round. Soon enough, Jimmy had an exchange student identity in hand—and the school was right there in front of him.
Wearing his new student ID, Jimmy walked confidently into the school. With his keen eyes, finding Peter was a piece of cake. He soon spotted a young man fiddling with a bulletin board.
Though some students around were clearly surprised to see an unfamiliar face, their expressions relaxed when they saw the ID hanging around Jimmy's neck. Jimmy walked up behind the boy with his head down and tapped him on the shoulder.
Peter Parker turned around to find an Asian guy standing there. "Um, can I help you?" Peter asked curiously.
"Heh, my name is Jimmy. I just transferred here today as an exchange student," Jimmy said, extending his right hand.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Peter Parker." Peter shook his hand.
"Watch out!" Jimmy suddenly reached out with his left hand and caught a basketball that was flying straight toward Peter.
"Oh!" came a surprised voice. A tall, short-haired student was staring at Jimmy in disbelief.
"Hey, Flash," Peter said with a wry smile.
"Hey, man, first time seeing you here!" Flash walked up to Jimmy and said.
"Yeah, I'm an exchange student. My name's Jimmy," he said, offering his hand.
"Heh, everyone calls me Flash." Flash gave a stiff smile and gripped Jimmy's hand—firmly.
Jimmy smiled and squeezed back—just a little harder.
"Ugh!" Flash's expression changed instantly. With strength eleven times that of a normal human, Jimmy's grip was something Flash couldn't hope to match.
"You're really enthusiastic!" Jimmy grinned, releasing his hand and giving Flash a hearty slap on the shoulder.
Flash quickly hid his now-red and slightly swollen hand behind his back, forcing a smile. "Heh, it's nothing."
Jimmy turned to Peter. "Peter, how about giving me a tour?"
"Uh, sure!" Peter was stunned for a moment, then nodded.
"Sorry, I need to grab something real quick." Peter walked over to a locker and apologized.
Meanwhile, Jimmy couldn't help but glance at a couple passionately making out nearby. This place sure is open-minded…
"Okay! Let's go!" Peter finally managed to pull out a book and, seeing Jimmy's amused expression, said awkwardly, "Alright, let's go."
Jimmy nodded and followed Peter out of the building. Just outside the main hall, they saw a blonde girl sitting at a long bench reading.
Peter ignored Jimmy for a moment and pulled out a camera, starting to take pictures. Jimmy gave a helpless smile—he knew that girl was Peter's girlfriend, Gwen Stacy.
After snapping a couple of photos, Peter noticed a crowd gathering.
The group was making a lot of noise. Some were excitedly shouting, others stood by with cold expressions. As Peter and Jimmy approached, they saw that Flash was bullying a student.
When Flash noticed Peter, he demanded that Peter take pictures. But Peter refused.
And then… Flash punched Peter.
"Hurry up!" Flash shouted at Peter, who had fallen to the ground.
As Peter started to stand, Jimmy quickly stepped forward, bumping Peter aside. Flash's punch landed squarely on Jimmy's chest—like hitting a steel wall.
"Hello, Flash!" Jimmy said cheerfully.
Flash shook his now aching right hand and glared. "What do you want, exchange student?"
"You're bullying my friend—of course I'm going to step in," Jimmy said with a grin. Seeing the unfamiliar faces all around, he decided to introduce himself.
"Hi everyone, I'm Jimmy, an exchange student from the Celestial Empire!"
"From now on, Peter is my friend! And don't underestimate me—I know kung fu!" Jimmy paused, then shouted loudly, "Don't believe me? Watch this!"
He picked up a brick lying nearby.
"Watch closely!" Jimmy shouted. With two fingers extended from his right hand, he tapped the brick. Half of it immediately snapped off.
"Woooah!" the crowd gasped.
"That's why I don't like violence," Jimmy said with a smile. Then, gripping the remaining half of the brick in his left hand, he squeezed until it crumbled into powder. Only then did he let go.
"Unless you're harder than steel," he added coldly.
Another round of gasps came from the crowd.
Flash looked awkward, unsure whether to advance or retreat.
That's when Peter's future girlfriend stepped in to break the tension.
"Flash, do you still want tutoring after school today?" the blonde girl, Gwen, asked.
"Hmph!" Flash snorted and turned to leave.
Jimmy shrugged and turned to Peter, who had just gotten up. "You alright, Peter?"
"I'm fine," Peter said, rubbing his cheek.
"Hi, I'm Gwen Stacy. Nice to meet you, Jimmy!" the blonde girl said, extending her hand with a smile.
"Nice to meet you, Stacy," Jimmy smiled back, shook her hand quickly, and let go.
Ding ding ding! The school bell rang.
"I've got to go," Gwen said, smiling at Jimmy.
Jimmy nodded politely, then turned to Peter, who was looking rather dejected.
"Don't worry, Peter. I'm not going to steal her from you," Jimmy said with a sly grin.
Peter froze, then quickly shook his head. "I don't know what you're talking about!"
Jimmy gave him a knowing look and smiled mysteriously.
