*Kael's POV*
Thunder crashed overhead as rain lashed against the metal shell of the RV. Inside, chaos reigned.
"Stay still!" I growled, trying to grab a squirming child as he darted past me.
The boy—Milo—giggled maniacally, his eyes flashing amber. Warning signs of an impending shift.
"No!" he shrieked, diving under a table.
My patience, already threadbare, snapped. "Enough!"
The command rumbled with Lycan power, freezing all four children in their tracks. Their wide eyes stared at me, a mixture of fear and fascination.
Leo recovered first, stepping between me and the others. "You're scaring them."
I dragged a hand down my face. "They should be scared. Look at Hazel."
All eyes turned to the small bedroom where Hazel lay unconscious, her skin still unnaturally pale. She hadn't stirred in hours.
*You're handling this poorly,* Lykos commented dryly.
*Better suggestions?* I shot back.
My wolf remained smugly silent.
