Chapter 7 - CHPTER 7: Jake HATRO

Chapter 7: Jake Hatro

House Hatro – The Family of Power and War

The Hatro family was one of the 15 strongest families in the empire. They were known for both politics and fighting. Among all families, the Hatro family fought more than any other during the time of King Derkula.

When King Derkula saw that he could not defeat them all, he made a deal with the Hatro family. The deal was: the Hatros would become one of the great families, they would have everything they needed for life, but in return, they would always support the king in every war and battle.

But now, no one remembers King Derkula. The families control the throne. The new goal of power was the hunting of Sirba — now called The Hunter.

Among all families, the Hatros had the best chance because of Jake Hatro.

Let's now go to the home of the Hatro family.

The leader of House Hatro was a 40-year-old man. He still looked strong and proud. He arrived in his royal carriage to his mansion. The house was beautiful, large, with a big garden, a horse stable, and a training ground for fighting. The best magic and sword teachers lived here — because the head of the house wanted Jake to become stronger than anyone.

Jake's body was full of power since the day he was born. People didn't know what made Jake special, but religious men said it was a gift from God to the Hatro family.

When Mr. Hatro arrived, the castle workers opened the gates and welcomed him:

"Welcome, Mr. Hatro."

He entered and asked one of the workers,

"Where is Jake?"

The worker replied,

"Sir, Jake is in the battle yard. He's training with his teacher and another knight."

Mr. Hatro said,

"Then I should go and watch."

He walked toward the battle ground and sat on a wooden chair to watch.

There were three people in the battle yard:

1. Mr. Sodrous – the best teacher of magic, a warrior in many wars. He was 65 years old, with scars from battle across his face.

2. Tole Khan – the most loyal guard's son, a 20-year-old famous for his sword skills.

3. Jake Hatro – son of House Hatro, a young boy believed to be the future of magic.

Jake had yellow hair and red eyes. His body looked normal, but he carried both a sword and a magic book.

As the fight was about to begin, Hatro stood up and shouted:

"If anyone here can defeat Jake today, I will give him whatever he wants!"

Mr. Sodrous, the magic teacher, replied:

"I don't need anything, but I want Mr. Hatro to see my skills."

Tole said,

"Jake, you are like my little brother… but for Mr. Hatro's honor, I must win today."

Jake smiled and said,

"I was bored too. You boys never use your full power. Let's begin."

At that moment, Tole rushed forward with his sword. It came close to cutting Jake's head, but at the last second, Jake vanished and reappeared elsewhere.

Jake said,

"Tole, use your full power if you want to make my father proud."

Tole became angry and launched another attack. But again and again, Jake escaped at the last moment.

Tole shouted,

"Crimson Cutter! Great sword technique!"

A red energy wave came from the sword.

Jake jumped into the air to dodge it — but as he jumped, Mr. Sodrous spoke:

"Ice Magic — Freezing Prison!"

Jake was suddenly trapped in a block of ice.

Mr. Sodrous said,

"You're strong, Jake… but in real war, you need everything to win."

Mr. Hatro saw this and got angry with Jake.

But suddenly…

A voice came from behind:

"Yes, Mr. Hatro, but we should also look around carefully during a fight."

Mr. Hatro turned around. Jake was standing there.

Even though Jake was trapped in ice… it was just a clone.

Mr. Sodrous laughed.

"Jake… very clever. You used a clone."

He said,

"Now I must use my full power!"

Mr. Sodrous raised his hands and said:

"Magic gifted by the gods! Make me stronger! Turn my body to the greatest ice!"

His magic power became huge and cold. He attacked Jake again and again.

Jake shouted:

"Light of the Sun! Fire of Love! The Magic of Light!"

Jake's whole body began to glow with heat and power. The ice couldn't touch him. He stepped through the attack, untouched.

Tole ran toward him with his sword — but Jake's energy shattered the blade, and Tole fell. He lost.

Now only the teacher remained. Mr. Sodrous lost all his energy and collapsed.

Jake stood on the battlefield and whispered:

"Cut the magic… let peace return."

His body returned to normal.

Mr. Hatro said nothing.

Jake walked over and asked,

"Teacher… did I do something wrong?"

Mr. Sodrous replied,

"No, my son. Your father loves you. He just can't show it."

Jake smiled a little.

But deep inside, his heart was hurt. He always did everything for his father. Jake's mother had died giving birth to him. He was a gift — but his father never looked at him with love. No matter what Jake did, it was never enough. He just wanted to make his father proud.

As Jake stood thinking, a castle worker came and spoke to Mr. Sodrous:

"Sir, Mr. Hatro wants to see you in his office."

Sodrous cleaned his clothes and turned to Jake.

"You are very strong, Jake. Believe in yourself. You were made for great things."

He walked up to the office. Inside, he bowed and said,

"I'm here, Mr. Hatro. What can I do?"

Mr. Hatro stood up from his chair, looked out the window, and said:

"You saw Jake today. He's strong now, isn't he?"

"Yes, my lord," Sodrous replied.

Hatro said,

"The king is dead. The game of power has begun. Any family who wins can make their kingdom. Do you think Jake can fight Azazel?"

The teacher replied,

"No. Azazel is one of the strongest devil gods. But I have a plan. I can make Jake as powerful as Azazel — but I'll need three years."

Mr. Hatro nodded.

"Fine. While you make Jake stronger, I will hunt The Hunter."
