Capital: Elyndor — The City of 12 Gods
Elyndor, the capital of the great emperor, was the city of the 12 gods. This was the first place where the gods made a deal with the first king. The most powerful and richest people in the entire empire lived there. Most parts of the city were built from golden stones. Around the city were huge walls, guarded by massive armies.
Inside, everyone was happy. Every kind of food, doctors, and luxuries existed in this city. But the weak people — they had nothing. They were killed for fun, and no one ever asked about them.
One day, a knight who had survived the destruction of his city by Sirba ran for his life. He rode his horse toward Elyndor, the capital. On the way, he warned other cities and asked for help. One small city sent its own knight to go with him — but before that, they told the knight he must also bring terrible news to the king.
The news was: the king's son is dead.
The knight was scared. He didn't know what to do, but still rode fast toward Elyndor. After a few days, he finally saw the great golden walls of the capital. He was in terrible health, with no rest or sleep.
When he reached the golden gates of Elyndor, the city guards stopped him.
"Only great knights enter here," they said. "You look like someone who ran from a war."
But the knight became angry and shouted, "I bring very bad news! If you do not open these gates, the first head that will fall will be yours!"
The golden knight on the wall got scared and opened the great gate.
When the knight entered Elyndor, he was overwhelmed. He couldn't remember anything for a moment — the city was too beautiful. Huge castles, masterful art, beautiful women from all over the empire who looked like angels — everything seemed like another world.
He found his way to the royal castle and asked to see the king. Another knight stopped him and said, "The king is resting."
The knight repeated, "I bring very bad news."
They let him into the castle. It was morning. The king was with his ten wives, walking in the royal garden filled with every kind of flower.
As the knight entered, the king got angry. "Who let this man into my garden?" he shouted. "How dare you!"
The knight kneeled and said, "Your Majesty, I have come from the city of your son, Prince Alberto."
The king stopped talking. His face changed.
"What happened to him? Is he sick? Did he fall in battle? Tell me, what happened to my son?"
The knight replied, "Sir… your son has been killed. By a boy who calls himself The Hunter."
The king's voice exploded. "Are you crazy?! I sent a thousand knights to protect him! I will have all of them killed!"
The knight said, "They are all dead, Your Majesty."
The king became silent. Then he asked, "Where were the 12 gods? We made a deal with them!"
The knight said, "Azazel came… but The Hunter escaped him. We couldn't find him again."
The king grabbed the knight by the neck. The knight tried to save himself — but the king killed him with his own hands.
"My son… my only son is dead!" the king cried. Then he collapsed to the ground.
His wives took him to his room. The doctor came and said, "The king had a heart attack. He is dead."
The king's wife looked at his body without emotion. Then she turned to a worker and said, "Invite the leaders of all the great families. We need a new king. Our king has left us."
Fifteen leaders from the fifteen great families of the empire came and sat in the royal chamber. They looked at each other in silence.
The first to speak was from the Doleos family. "We all know each of us wants to become king. But if we fight, we will destroy each other."
The leader of the Brobos family said, "Yes. We don't need war. We need a new king — but without blood."
Then the leader of the Song family said, "I have an idea. If we continue like this, we will all kill each other. But the old king had a nephew. He's a fool — but we can make him king for a short time."
"During that time," he said, "we test the families. The family that can hunt The Hunter — they will be the next rulers."
The leader of the Doreson family stood up. "That's a good way. The Hunter won a great war. He killed many knights alone. He even fought Azazel and survived. That makes him a legend."
All the family leaders took knives, cut their hands, and said together, "This is a deal."
The Hazeor family said, "The meeting is over. Let's go. We all have work to do."
The fifteen families left.
The leader of the Hazeor family went home and told his son, "You must hunt The Hunter. Among all the 15 families, the Hatro family has the best chance. Their son, Jake Hatro, is the strongest fighter I've seen."
