Chapter 10 - chapter:10 why me

Jake had a goal now — a good life, power, and everything he needed. But far away, in the shadows, lived someone else. A person who had lost everything — his mother, his father, his village, his clan.

That person… was Sirab.

He couldn't even die to escape the pain. Sirab, the boy who once never wanted to hurt anyone… was now the most wanted man in the entire kingdom. All 15 noble families wanted his head. The 12 gods were hunting him.

Everyone kept asking one question:

> "Where is the Hunter?"

But no one knew…

Not even Jake.

In the darkness of a twisted dream, Sirab whispered to himself:

> "Am I dead… or alive?

If I'm dead, I should be in hell.

That means… I'll never see my mother again.

I've done terrible things. What am I supposed to do now?"

Suddenly, he woke up.

He was in his old home.

Sirab sat up, confused. "What… what am I doing here?"

He ran to the kitchen — and saw his mother.

Tears fell from his eyes. He grabbed her and hugged her tightly.

"Mom… I'm sorry! I wasn't there to save you!"

His mother turned to him and smiled softly.

"Sirab… what are you talking about? Save me from what?"

Sirab was shaking. "From the king's knights…"

His mother said, "My son… I think you just had a bad dream. Remember? Yesterday you hunted a lion and everyone celebrated in the village."

Sirab blinked. "But I… I was…"

She interrupted gently, "Come, sit. I've made your favorite food."

Sirab tried to eat, but his hands were trembling. His mother saw this and fed him herself, holding his hand like she used to.

"You need to get ready, my son. The villagers are waiting for you."

Sirab looked at her with watery eyes. "I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to stay with you, Mother."

She smiled and said, "Alright, my son."

Sirab ate like a child, crying as he tasted the food. He hadn't seen his mother since her death — and this dream felt too real.

Later, he left the house.

He met his friends. Laughed. Played like a child again. Talked with the elders, did his old chores… everything felt peaceful.

Then, Hercules, his father, came and smiled at him.

"You've done great work today, Sirab. You hunted a lion."

Sirab smiled weakly. "Yes, Dad…"

Hercules nodded. "Your mother told me you did something special today."

Sirab said, "It was just a dream, wasn't it?"

Hercules looked at him seriously. "If one day you lose all of us… what will you do?"

Sirab replied, "I'll go crazy."

SLAP! Hercules hit him hard in the chest.

"Crazy?! Your mother didn't give birth to you so you could become crazy! Don't ever talk like that! If you lose everything — then make sure no one else does. Don't let anyone feel the same pain you feel. Don't let anyone else lose their family."

Sirab nodded slowly. "But what if I already made people suffer?"

"Then," Hercules said, "you pay it back. You make it right."

Suddenly, a group of armored knights arrived in the village. One of them shouted:

> "The prince, son of the Great King, has come to see the jungle. He invites the villagers to show him the beauty of your land. He will reward you all."

The village chief agreed. "Why not? We're honored."

But Hercules narrowed his eyes.

"If he wants to see the jungle, why does he need all of us? One man could guide him…"

Sirab whispered, "It's a trap, Dad…"

But no one could hear him.

Sirab tried to speak again, but no one listened. He realized — he was a ghost in his own dream. No one could hear or see him.

The villagers left with the knights. Hercules stayed behind, sharpening his swords and holding his bow.

His wife asked, "What are you doing?"

"I don't trust them," Hercules said. "If anything happens… take the girls and run."

Now only old men remained in the village.

Suddenly — fire arrows fell from the sky. The village burst into flames. Thousands of soldiers surrounded them.

Hercules stood tall. "Liars! These nobles are devils!"

Then came the fight.

Hercules stood like a wall. When the first knight charged, he cut the man in half with a single swing.

Another came — he snapped his neck with one arm.

More came.

Ten knights.

Twenty.

Thirty.

Horses screamed. Blades clashed. Arrows flew.

Hercules didn't fall.

He fought like a mountain, unshaken.

He turned the battlefield into a graveyard.

His body was covered in wounds, but he kept swinging.

He killed everything that moved.

He stood on a pile of bodies, raised his sword to the burning sky, and roared:

> "WHO ELSE WANTS TO DIE?!"

Then — the prince came forward, laughing.

"So… you're the famous Hunter of Beasts?

But I ask you — are you a beast… or a man?"

Hercules growled, "I kill when I must.

You kill when you want. That's the difference."

The prince smiled. "I'll let the women live…

If you surrender and let us kill you."

Hercules replied, "You're a liar."

The prince shrugged. "Then I'll start with the children."

Hercules' heart broke. He looked at the girls — scared, crying.

"Fine," he said. "Spare them. I'll give you what you want."

He threw down his sword.

Ten knights stabbed him at once.

Ten blades inside his body — yet he still stood.

The prince stepped closer. "Fool… why are you still standing?"

Another knight stabbed him again.

Hercules finally fell.

> "What should we do with the rest?" the knights asked.

The prince grinned.

> "kill all of thim . And burn the rest.

---

Sirab watched all of it.

He saw the village burn again.

He saw his father fall.

He saw the innocent slaughtered.

He couldn't do anything.

He screamed into the sky:

> "WHY?!

Why me?!

Why again?!"

It was a dream created by the woman in black clothes to make Sirab feel pain and fill him with anger. The dream was made from the souls of the dead — a dangerous illusion.
