Days went, seasons came and went. Months have passed. And finally it turned into about 3 years since Wang Lin was tasked with investing the information of Heavenly Sword Domain.
And roughly a whole 5 years had passed since Ren Wei got the treasure and got separated from his children.
------
In the middle of the big lake, a small boat was floating. The boat was kind of pretty and nice.
With the water reflecting the evening sun, it was like a lone fish floating on liquid gold.
On it was Ren Wei, with his round treasure bamboo hat. And as usual, he was fishing. Five years have passed, but Ren Wei still looked the same. Now at 40, he was still the same old Ren Wei, a 35 years old widowed father of 2. However, in the eyes of his neighbors, he wasn't the same. That was because of Ren Wei illusion power, making them see him as a mortal.
But unlike the past, his posture and calm demeanor carried something. It was like a spiritual aura that could not be explain by words. His every moves carried the same feeling.
Every breath that he took was mesmerizing. And every exhalation turned the air into icy snow flakes. Even though it was still the month of summer season.
Like a vast domain was surrounding him at the center.
When he felt the sense of something pulling the fishing line, Ren Wei slowly opened his eyes.
Before he pulled the fish up, he took a deep refreshing breath. Looking the sun that was about to set, he smiled and felt the sudden nostalgic emotion.
'How fast the time passed. It felt like it was just yesterday that I was fishing at the small river.' Thinking of those time, Ren Wei felt a bit emotional.
'I wonder how they are doing now.' He suddenly thought of his kids.
"But now, you guys don't have to wait anymore. I am coming, your DAD is coming to see you guys.... Hahaha ha..." Ren Wei suddenly laughed out loudly with emotion.
When his voice spread towards the surrounding, the water started freezing. Then, in an instant the whole lake was frozen.
Fortunately, Ren Wei stopped himself for turning the place upside down by calming his emotion. If not, he would have frozen an area within a several-mile radius, even changing the climate of the area.
He took a breath and retracted his domain. Everything that was frozen turned back to normal.
"Finally I can start my journey." Ren Wei smiled.
After a painstaking 5 year journey, he finally reached the so called Divine Domain Realm. Not just the early stage, he was already an expert, sitting at the Level 4 of the realm.
Then, he calmly turned back his attention to his fishing line. In a simple yet mysterious manner, he slowly pulled up the fishing line.
Stuck on the hook was a one and half long fish. With red stripes all over the body.
[Fish: Red Tiger Fish.
Grade: Peak Spiritual Grade.
Details: A spiritual fish that look like a land tiger with red stripes. It carries the fierce fire Qi useful of Innate Qi Realm and below warriors. Consumption in large amount will grant the warrior a spiritual form (like a tiger form).]
Ren Wei casually tossed it into his pot, like he was used to seeing that kind of fishes. And it was true, fishing in that lake for years, he found out many things.
Like, why there were no fishes above spiritual grade. And why the locals rarely try fishing in that lake.
First, the reason why there was no fishes above spiritual grade was simple. The lake simply could not provide the excessive amount of Qi to support the mutation.
Because, for fishes, simply having the ability to absorb Qi was not enough to cross the spiritual grade realm. They need to undergo an complicate mutations, which will change their forms and everything.
If they successfully do that, that fish will become an entirely new life form capable of devastating blows and powers. A whole new level.
And secondly, the reason for the locals not fishing in that lake was that they simply could not catch anything.
After a split second, the last reward of the day that Ren Wei had been waiting for, arrived.
[Reward: Moon Spirit Horse.
Grade: Mid Mysterious Grade.
Details: A blue colored majestic horse. Running a thousand miles within a day is no problem for this powerful fantastic beast. For this fantastic beast, running on water is the same as running land. And there is not such thing as too high, too low, too uneven for it. Everything is its path.]
The reward surprised Ren Wei a little. It was not that surprising for him to get living creatures as a reward. From time to time, he would get birds. But it was his first time getting a horse, a big creature.
And, that also not some ordinary horse. But a powerful horse that can run on everything and everywhere.
But, what surprised him the most was not the powerful aspects of the creature. It was the unusual colour.
Blue, distinct and too unusual colour for a horse.
"Well, it looks like fate doesn't want me to go on foot." Ren Wei still accepted his reward as it was already delivered on his doorstep.
By the time he arrived back at his house, the sun was already setting on the horizon.
And, Ren Wei, instead of going to his house, he went to Si Fei house.
He stood in front of the bamboo gate and knocked on it, two or three times.
A minute later, Si Fei opened the gate. He was surprised when he saw Ren Wei standing there. It was the first time, Ren Wei standing in front of his gate after a long time.
With a surprised voice, he asked. "Ren Wei!"
"What happened? What are you doing here." He asked. And Ren Wei couldn't detect nothing more than a concern tone.
Without a word, he simply handed a paper to Si Fei. Then, he turned around and left.
The whole scene took placed in just a matter of seconds, that it was kind of hard for Si Fei to process what was going on.
Looking at the figure, walking away farther and farther, Si Fei even forgot to call him.
When he came back to his sense, he realized Ren Wei was gone.
He turned down and looked at what Ren Wei just gave him. It was a paer or rather two paper.
When Si Fie looked at the front paper, he suddenly widened his pupils. It was Ren Wei's land deed. Seeing that, he quickly looked up, trying to call Ren Wei.
Only at that moment, did he realized that the direction Ren Wei left was towards the town's gate.
Without even giving a second look at the land deed and the second paper, he hurriedly ran after Ren Wei.
By the time, he arrived at the town's gate Ren Wei was nowhere to be found.
Si Fei frantically called out Ren Wei's name and looked at every possible directions he could have left.
Passers-by looked him like a crazy person for calling loudly when the night time was coming in just seconds.
After darkness engulfed their town, Si Fei went back to his home.
Under the candlelight, Si Fei finally read the second paper. It was a letter. And only after reading the letter, he understood the whole thing.
[Si Fei. By the time you read this, I might have already left the town.
Don't worry about me, I going to a safe place. And before I leave, I just wanted to give something to you for your concerns and helps over the years I was struggling. And you are the only one I am mostly familiar with, so.
And since I am not thinking of coming back, I leave my land deed to you. I hope that can help you in some ways.
Your once a friend,
Ren Wei.]
Si Fei took a deep sigh. He remembered the old times when they were just children playing together. Ren Wei was just a other happy kid. But all of that changed.
From the side, his wife asked. "What are doing reading that paper. What's that?"
"You won't even know even if I show this to you." Si Fei said as he hid the paper inside his robe.
"Humph.." His wife turned away slightly angry at his word and turned back to cooking.
------
Ren Wei was still at the town, when Si Fei arrived at the gate. He saw and heard all those callings, he simply didn't want to show up.
After the sun set and darkness arrived, he went to a place at the town that he hadn't been for a long time.
He arrived at the foot of the small hill, near the edge of of town.
With an emotional feeling, he looked at the tombstone of his laye wife.
Carved on the stone, it read.
[Yin Yue. A mother. A wife.]
Just some simple and normal things.
Looking at the tombstone, Ren Wei took a heavy sigh.
He came with many thoughts and words carrying on his mind. And now, standing before his wife's tomb, he didn't know what to say. He was at a loss for words.
At the end, he only managed to mutter. "How... are your. I am.. here to.. say.. good bye."
With that, he stood there for quite a while before ultimately deciding to leave. But before he did that, he decided to see his wife's remains for the last time.
Releasing his spiritual sense, he prove into the coffin, buried under the tombstone.
However, what he found shocked him.
"What!!?" He widened his pupils and let out a shocking sound.
