> Codex Entry: Wraithborne Sentinels
Classification: Aberrant Hostile
Threat Level: Tier III–IV
Behavior: Adaptive, Command-Driven
Wraithborne are not natural beings. Once men, soldiers, or even mercenaries of fallen houses, their flesh was seared by mana corruption until nothing human remained. Most degrade into mindless husks, driven only by hunger.
But the Sentinels and Legionnaires encountered by Kael and Silna are different. Bound in fractured armor, wielding crafted weapons, and fighting in formation, they show signs of control. Unlike ferals, they wait. They observe.
Rumors within fractured kingdoms speak of something darker: that the Wraithborne are fragments of old oaths, reforged by powers that should have remained buried. Some still bear the cloaks of extinct noble sigils—mockery, or perhaps memory.
If true, then every Wraithborne carries echoes of the wars that broke the Crowned Age. Echoes that now hunt the living.

> Codex Entry: Flamewake Resonance
Classification: System-Bound Passive
Status: Activated within Host Kael Veyr
The Flamewake is more than fire. It is not conjured flame, nor simple combustion. Records are scarce, but it is tied to the "Ashen Crown Protocol"—a system routine older than most known bloodlines.
Residual Flamewake manifests as a heartbeat of heat within the bearer. It reacts to emotion, danger, and intent. The greater the strain, the hotter it burns.
But resonance carries danger. Too much alignment, and the host risks sync collapse, where fire consumes not only the foe, but the wielder. For this reason, most flamebearers in recorded history did not survive long enough to master it.
Kael Veyr is the first recorded bearer in centuries. Whether he masters it—or burns with it—remains unwritten.

> Codex Observation: Unknown Overseer
System Note: [Consistent Observations Logged During Encounters]
[Entity Profile: Hidden — Tier Beyond Scan Parameters]
Each Wraithborne encounter coincides with a secondary presence. It does not strike. It does not intervene. It only watches.
Designation: Herald-Class?
Hypothesis: Testing Parameters of the Flamewake.

Silna Farros, though not system-bound, has noted this pattern as well:
"They aren't just after us. They're gauging him. And if something is studying Kael through these husks... then it means we're not hunting relics. We're already prey."
