Chapter 20.5: Codex Entry — The Crowned Oathkeeper

> Codex Entry: The Crowned Oathkeeper

Classification: Relic-Bound Aberrant

Threat Level: Tier V (Projected)

---

The Oathkeepers were not kings, but their blades kept kingdoms alive. In the final years of the Crowned Age, when noble banners still bled across fractured skies, Oathkeepers stood as sworn shields to rulers and bloodlines. Their vows were binding, anchored by ritual, system, and soul.

But when the thrones fell, the oaths did not. Instead, they calcified into chains. Those who lived long enough to see their kings slaughtered, their sigils erased, became something else.

Legends say the last Oathkeeper fell inside the Black Vault, refusing to surrender the keys of his sovereign even as the world crumbled. His vow devoured him, fusing flesh with steel, binding his will to a law that no longer exists.

Now, fragmented echoes of that vow linger. Broken but not extinguished. Where the Wraithborne Sentinels mimic discipline, the Crowned Oathkeeper is discipline made manifest—unyielding, relentless, unbroken even in death.

Silna Farros recorded a fragmented account from a shattered mural within the Vault:

"They said he would never fall. That even if the heavens themselves split, the Oathkeeper would hold the door shut. If that's true… then Kael isn't breaking into an empty tomb. He's trespassing on

an unbroken vow."
