"Diana? Amazon?"
Clark found those two words strangely familiar. Then it hit him—wasn't that Wonder Woman?
Though he shared the same name and powers, Clark himself wasn't really Superman. His birth name was Lige, and he simply had Superman's abilities. As for "Clark Kent," that name was just a coincidence. He figured, even if he were named Tony Stark, he'd still be the same person—with Superman's powers.
So Clark had never truly believed that comic book characters could appear in real life, let alone stand here talking to him.
"Um, I meant your real name. Not… that one."
"You know that name?"
Diana didn't understand why Clark questioned her name, but his reaction made something clear—he either knew or had heard of someone named Diana Prince.
Which led her to guess: maybe Clark thought she was impersonating that person.
"Miss, Wonder Woman from the Amazon is just a fictional character. I'd like to know your real name. If possible, I can notify your parents or guardians to come get you. If that's not possible, I can take you back myself."
"Fictional?"
Diana had considered many possibilities—but she hadn't expected that one.
The title "Wonder Woman" was something she'd earned, punching down criminals.(She was well aware people in her world called her that.)
Then—without a word—Diana suddenly removed her coat, revealing the armor underneath, which looked more like lingerie than any sort of practical armor.
And then—she punched Clark.
It wasn't an attack out of anger. Diana just wanted to prove who she was, and more importantly—test whether this Clark was her Superman. If he could take her punch, maybe her theory was right. If not… maybe this was just all a tragic coincidence.
But Clark was stunned. Not because of the punch—but because the woman in front of him had just stripped in broad daylight, in his flower shop, with clear glass windows!
Still, as shocked as he was, Clark also felt a flicker of anticipation.X-ray vision wasn't quite the same as seeing something in the flesh.
That said, the moment the coat came off, he realized:This wasn't lingerie—it was sleek, metallic armor, seductive yet strong.
Boom!
Before Clark could accuse her of being a spy, her fist connected squarely with his chest. And in that moment—his expression changed.
To others, it might have looked like a soft punch from a delicate fist, but Clark felt it—it wasn't light at all.
A normal person would have been launched by that hit.Even a professional athlete couldn't match her strength. And for a seemingly slender, untrained woman to hit that hard?
It proved something.
After the hit, Diana smiled slightly.
She had held back—just in case Clark really was just a regular person. But the fact that he took the blow without flinching? That meant he wasn't ordinary.
"Who are you?!"
Clark reached out and grabbed her wrist.
He didn't believe for a second that she was Wonder Woman from another world. After all, in the Marvel world, no interdimensional travelers had ever shown up.
So Clark's mind raced to a different conclusion:
"She must be some enhanced human from a secret organization…Trying to impersonate Wonder Woman—hoping to win me over.Pfft. Like I'm that easy to fool?"
But Diana frowned.
She didn't understand why Clark refused to believe she was who she said she was.She was sure they hadn't interacted before—so what was causing his suspicion?
"Clark, I think there's been a misunderstanding. Why are you saying I'm just a fictional character?"
Clark didn't know whether to call her brave or naive. Was she really planning to bluff her way through this?
Still, he let go of her wrist.
Why?Because… she was pretty. If she were ugly, Clark might've already slapped her—just saying.
"You said your name is Diana Prince, and you're from the Amazon?"
As he spoke, Clark pulled out his phone and Googled "Wonder Woman."Then he handed her the screen.
"Take a look."
"What?"
Diana took the phone and stared at the screen.
"Wonder Woman, Diana Prince, is a superhero from American comic books. She is the princess of Themyscira, daughter of Zeus and Queen Hippolyta…"
"What is this?!"
Reading the words, it felt like someone had smashed her head with a hammer. She staggered, dizzy and overwhelmed.
She couldn't believe it.
Her mother, her sisters, her friends—were all characters someone had drawn?
"No! This isn't real!"
She set the phone down, bracing herself against the table with one hand, holding her head with the other.
The realization that you're just a fictional character would break anyone.
"You're lying! If I'm just a comic book character…Then who are you, Clark Kent?!"
She glared at him.
If she was fictional…Then what about him, the so-called Superman?
"Still pretending, huh?"
Clark rolled his eyes.
He thought she deserved an Oscar for that level of acting.
"Clark, I don't think she's lying."
Just as Clark was about to press Diana further, a voice came from outside the flower shop.
It was Coulson.
Clark turned and saw him walking inside.
"Hello, Miss Diana. We meet again.I'm Agent Coulson, from S.H.I.E.L.D."
He gave her a polite nod, then turned to Clark.
"Last night, we had a mishap in one of our labs.It seems a space-time portal opened, possibly connected to another universe…And this woman appeared out of it."
"You're saying she's really from… the other side of the universe?"
Clark had almost said "comic book," but changed it to "universe" out of respect—after all, the so-called main character was standing right here.
As for the lab accident, he had a strong guess—it must have been the Tesseract experiment. In the Marvel universe, only a few things could open portals, and the Tesseract was one of the few within S.H.I.E.L.D.'s reach.
"We're not certain yet," Coulson said, "but what we do know is—she most likely isn't from our world."
