Chapter 155 - Chapter 155: The Play: The Song of Sound

Chapter 155: The Play: The Song of Sound

The village of Fynren was quiet, its home destroyed. But there was no sound.

Seraph stood facing the young boy whom Seraph had nicknamed "Little Red."

Dozens of red roots charged towards Seraph. Pew pew pew.

Seraph was struck by Kisen's gray roots. Seraph stabbed Kisen's staff, which was stuck in the ground. Smack!

Gray roots beneath the ground shot up like a doorway, receiving the attack. Boom!

Red roots shot towards Seraph's right and Seraph's left. Both roots attacked Seraph simultaneously. Whoosh!

Gray roots shot up to meet the attack. Boom!

Red roots circled around Ken's back. Pew pew!

Gray roots shot up to meet the attack. Pew pew! Boom!

The red and gray roots began attacking each other. Hoping to save one another, boom!

The battle was fierce, but there was not a single sound of clashing. Boom!

Kisen ordered Seraph. "Seraph, tell Ken to go out and get help. The girl in front of you is gaining more and more spiritual energy. If we continue fighting for too long, we'll be at a disadvantage."

"Ken, please go get help. Tell them we've encountered a very dangerous enemy."

Ken nodded. "Okay." Ken ran hurriedly. Whoosh!

A red root shot out to attack Ken, but a gray root shot out to protect him. Whoosh! Boom! Boom!

Seraph watched Ken run away. "That guy's gone. Is it time for us to run?"

"No, we don't need to stop him, or there will be more casualties."

Seraph could only resign himself.

Little Red rose rose into the sky. More and more red roots began to grow.

Little Red rose stretched out his arms, both hands bleeding nonstop. His body began to release its own red blood.

Twenty red roots shot into the sky. Whoosh!

The red roots aimed at the surrounding houses.

Sharp thorns shot towards the roofs. Pew! Pew!

Kisen refused to obey. Gray roots shot up, enveloping the red roots and taking the hits. Pew! Pew! Pew!

BOOM!

The surrounding roofs collapsed, revealing the moon. Inside, people were sleeping in their beds.

A woman's eyes awoke, stunned by falling wood. She looked up to see a young girl in a red dress with blood-stained black hair, standing amidst the blue moon, with red and gray roots intermingling.

The woman lay there, her mouth wide open, her expression utterly shocked. Red roots shot towards her. Pew!

But then, gray roots crashed into the red roots. Boom! Boom!

All around the bed, holes were punctured. Boom!

Seraph pulled out his Kisen Staff and aimed it at Red.

The Kisen Staff opened its eyelids, revealing clear blue eyes.

A beam of blue light, gathering and compressing, was amplified by immense spiritual pressure. Boom!

The blue spiritual pressure shot out in a straight line like a laser beam. Pew!

A red root came crashing down in front of Red.

The red eye shot out a laser beam. Pew!

The two beams collided with a boom!

Seraph charged forward, using the roots to launch himself. Whoosh!

Seraph flew halfway when numerous red roots charged at Seraph, leaving no room for attack. Pew!

Seraph swung his Kisen Staff back and forth. Whoosh! Boom!

The red roots were unable to harm Seraph.

Seraph brushed away the red roots, revealing a red leg with blood-stained pants. The pants were now white.

Red's right foot shot up into the sky.

Red roots gathered around Seraph's right leg. The red roots formed the shape of a logging axe.

A logging axe, half the size of a tree, swung down towards Seraph. Whoosh!

Seraph raised his Kisen staff to block it. The gray roots formed the shape of a sword, blocking the axe. Boom!

Seraph landed on the ground with a boom.

Seraph stood up with ease, dodging around.

A rain of red roots rained down, aiming to puncture Seraph's body. Whoosh!

Seraph dodged with ease. Boom!

A red root shot out, aiming to puncture Seraph's face. Whoosh!

A gray root flew into the red root. Boom!

[I almost thought I was going to die. Great job, Kisen staff!] A terrifying ability. So this guy...? No need to say, this Kisen staff is perfect for missions. You can think like that.]

Roots shot down continuously. Seraph dodged here and there.

People in the village ran out of the house. Anyone still sleeping inside must be doing something wrong.

The villagers were talking in shock. "Look! There's someone fighting!"

"Oh yeah! Why are they fighting here?!"

"Everyone, get out of here! Or you're dead!"

People saw Seraph and Red Boy fighting.

Everyone started running away. The running was frantic.

A red root shot towards one of the villagers. Whoosh!

A gray root rushed forward to save the villager. Whoosh! Boom! Boom!

The two roots collided. Not a single sound. Boom! Boom!

Four red eyes along the roots grew. Red laser beams shot towards the villagers. In all four directions, boom boom boom.

Gray roots flew to meet the attack, forming a wooden shield. Boom boom boom boom.

Little Red raised both hands toward the sky, pressing them together as if praying. In the empty sky, filled with moonlight, Little Red prayed for something. "Let's play, the Song of Sound."

People ran in panic. No one wanted to stay and watch.

The seraph watched the girl make a wish to the moon.

[It seems dangerous somehow. If I take the opportunity to escape, Kisen will probably say, "No way. What a good person!"]

Seraph could only stand there, fearless, as his eyes shone with a red glow.

It was the red streaks of misfortune that were hinting at Seraph's death. His misfortune was increasing.

And his luck was gradually increasing, with a golden hue.

This suggested that Seraph's luck was increasing.

[So, what will happen? What will happen to the girl? Or will Kisen succeed in killing her? No, another possibility is that someone from the Flairin School will be here, or the police. The girl could possibly die in any of these ways. Another possibility is that

her body couldn't withstand the spiritual energy. Blood was pouring out of her body. The proof was her pure white clothes, stained with her own red blood. Even though you see me like this, I'm smart at analyzing possibilities.]

Seraph was intent on watching the story unfold. He didn't show any sadness, pity, or joy. He just looked at the girl in front of him, as if it were a normal part of everyday life.
