Chapter 154: Time to Reap the Fortune
The house was an old, brown wooden house, adjacent to another.
The door frame was made of hard wood, remarkably durable.
Neither of the neighbors had opened the door, they were outside. It was nighttime.
It was a quiet place.
Seraph and Ken entered the house, and a young woman was lying on the wooden bed. Her symptoms were getting worse.
The woman's body was covered in red roots. Half of her body was covered in roots.
The red roots seemed to be sucking blood. They moved back and forth like a pump.
The girl was emaciated, bone-like, with a fearful expression. Her eyes were wide open, revealing red blood. Her mouth was open, as if she were dazed, and she was dressed in pure white.
Seraph first saw her. His expression almost made him faint. [This is dead. What kind of sickness is this? It's so scary.]
Ken looked at Seraph, wondering if there was a cure. "Lord Kisen, is there a cure?"
Seraph didn't reply, having forgotten that he used the name Kisen.
Ken asked Seraph. "Lord Kisen, Lord Kisen, Lord Kisen?"
Seraph turned to look at Ken. [Oh, I forgot. I'm still using that name.]
"My junior placed my staff on that red root. It's like I'm familiar with it."
Seraph placed the Kisen staff near the red root.
While Seraph was waiting for Kisen's message to be processed, Seraph asked, "Have you taken this child to a fortune teller or a skilled healer?"
Ken nodded in agreement. "I have taken him. The doctor said it's beyond his abilities. All the warriors are... Shaking her head, she replied, "Yes."
Seraph thought. [There are ways to help. Mister One seems to be skilled at making medicine, but asking for it like that wouldn't be good. No, I could use my golden rose in exchange for this request. If I heal Ken's sister, Ken will comply. Plus, with Senior Kisen as his assistant, this is a way to escape trouble. Just changing people is the same. Having Ken, he seems to have good skills. Still better than a kid like me.]
Kisen's path, gray roots are starting to cover the red roots.
The gray roots are starting to blend with the red roots.
Kisen pulled back to Seraph and cut off the red roots. The cut part is the body of Kisen's staff.
"What is this? It feels so much like the origin?"
"What do you think, Senior? Is this okay?"
"No way. They're on different levels. If we don't take them to the origin, the chances of this child surviving are slim. With such spiritual power." It's far beyond my level.
Seraph looked horrified. "Senior, are you saying that the red thing in front of you is a different level?"
"Yes, if it's not the same level as the origin, I don't think I can handle it."
Seraph turned to look at the exit door. [With all the terrifying experiences and accidental journeys, I felt like I could sense something terrible coming. This experience was very dangerous. I'm leaving now. See you later. This whole story, we don't know each other.]
Seraph ran towards the door. His speed was very good, like a hero running away from an enemy.
Ken saw Seraph's actions and his expression said, "Let me know what's going on." "What's going on?"
Ken turned to look at the bed where his sister lay. Ken's sister's eyes moved to look at Seraph. It was just a movement of her eyes, but not a normal movement.
The eyes stared back at Seraph. Something shot out of the girl's eyes. Boom! Boom!
Two red roots A Seraph, as wide as an adult's arm, with two red eyes, glared at Seraph. Blood continuously flowed from both of her eyes. The girl had lost both of her eyes.
Blood continuously dripped from her eyes, and the room was filled with danger. Ken stood there, his face stunned.
He raised his body to defend, using both hands to create a defense.
A red root attacked Seraph. Fortunately, Seraph had Kisen, his VIP guard. The gray root slammed into the red root. Boom boom boom.
The red roots on the bed began to lift the girl's body, lifting her up bit by bit. The white clothes she wore were stained with red blood from the red juices of her eyes.
A dangerous scent began to be released. The girl's body moved, and the red roots slammed into Ken. Boom! Ken was blown out of the house. Boom!
The surrounding wood was crushed. Ken was outside without going out the door.
Ken looked at his own arms. They were both mangled from the clash.
The bones, or rather, Ken's arms, were gone.
The organs from his arms were flowing nonstop. The ground was covered in red blood.
The windows of the house were covered in splinters.
Seraph ran out of the house and ran, not even bothering to look at Ken's house. [Go away. This is too dangerous. It happened as soon as I arrived. Did he go crazy? He was born at this time?]
Seraph ran faster, not bothering to interfere.
"That junior, Det, is in danger. Help that child first!
Seraph was stunned. [What?! Are you really a good person?]
Gray roots began to cover Seraph's body, trying to take control.
Seraph was being controlled, and Seraph's expression was calm.
[Seraph's expression was serious. Tell him I don't want it. Let's put this aside for now.]
Kisen turned Seraph's body. "Then I'll go. Seraph, you can trust me."
Seraph created roots on Seraph's sidewalk and charged towards Ken. Pew!
At Ken's house, red roots charged towards Ken. Ken was unable to defend, still in shock from his missing arms.
Ken's eyes widened as he saw the scene before him. Something was taking control of his younger sister, and the red roots blocked his view of her.
A sharp, red root was about to pierce Ken's head. Pew!
Seraph's right hand shot out and grabbed the red root. Boom!
The red root was grabbed, and the roots surrounding Seraph swung to destroy it. Boom!
Seraph stepped on the bloody ground, his green vine armor on his back.
Seraph looked at Ken. "Change." [Change. I can't tell, since both his arms were severed. Anyway, I'm not dead, so it's okay.]
Seraph watched as the white-robed girl, covered in red roots, and the entire house were blown away. Boom!
The white-robed girl destroyed the house. Roots beneath the house appeared in great numbers.
The roots' eyes shot out, colliding with the girl's eyes and returning to repair them. The surrounding red roots wiggled like seaweed.
The girl's body began to regain its flesh, and red veins covered her body. No matter where she looked, red veins covered her body.
The surrounding atmosphere Red mist began to appear on the girl's white dress, transformed into a reddish hue by her own blood.
Seraph stood still, holding the Kisen staff. The golden seraph's gaze fell on the red-robed girl, her long, black hair reaching down to her feet, mixed with her own blood.
[Let's call her Little Red.]
Seraph's vision saw an ominous omen of misfortune, covering Little Red before her.
The golden luck that had long lingered, so much so that Seraph thought it had disappeared, returned to its former glory.
[Well then, my lucky streak has returned. It's time to reap the good fortune.]
