Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 Progenitor?! Part 2

"D@mn, did n# #ne t§ach y#u h#w t# cl#se it?"

"Wh@t irr§sp#nsible s§niors y§u h@ve. Fin§. I will te@ch y#u in th§ir pl@c§ th§n. W@tch @nd l§@rn, in th# futur# y#u n§§d t# cl#se th§ on§s you op§n y#urs§lv§s."

The stranger, who was most likely an unknown ancestor of theirs, continued speaking without taking notice of their shocked expressions. They didn't know if it was intentional or because he simply did not care.

After he spoke that long incoherent phrase, he turned around to face the spatial pocket's entrance.

All three of them watched as he lifted his arm, pointed at the spatial entrance with two of his fingers and then pinched, all in one fell swoop.

Then, the unbelievable happened. The massive spatial pocket's entrance acted as if it was being physically pinched. For a moment, it seemed to them that it struggled against the pressuring force applied to it, but it was a futile effort on its part, nonetheless.

Immediately after, they witnessed something they thought to be just wishful thinking among their elders and known ancestors.

The spatial pocket's entrance simply gave up and popped like an air balloon. It imploded in on itself and finally poofed out of existence. Yes, that's right! They even heard a poof sound when it vanished!

It was inconceivable. They have just seen it occur with their own eyes, but they still couldn't believe it or grasp how it was even possible to achieve.

"Did y#u s§§? @s e@sy @s th@t." He closed it with no effort at all, making it look as easy as if he was pinching a helpless bug.

'W-What kind of power is that?!' 'How is that even possible?!' 'Who is he?!' were some of the thoughts that flooded their already blown minds.

'C-Could it be?! IS HE… TH-THE PROGENITOR?!' All three of them thought differently in their minds' chaotic sea, but they all reached the same incredible assumption.

After witnessing his power the second time, and according to all they knew from their tribes' teachings and knowledge about the top seats of their race, there was no one who could accomplish what the stranger in front of them had just did, except perhaps the almost mythical Progenitor of their race, knowledge of whom is passed down the generations as part of their race's culture.

They fell to their knees the moment the realization fully dawned on them that in front of them stood the Progenitor.

Few things were known about him, but they were enough to install pride and yearning for power in their race's members' hearts.

And that was also true for the three of them.

They began moving at once almost at the same time, crawling towards him. They didn't want to miss such rare and amazing opportunity to gain favor and learn from the Progenitor. This was a once in a lifetime chance!

Slightly faster was of course Khar'hon. In no time at all he arrived at the feet of the Progenitor. Forgetting any kind of self-dignity and image he had, he hugged the Progenitor's left leg with all the strength he could muster as if his life depended on it.

Claw'Ron and Gas regretted not being faster upon seeing Khar'hon reaching him first but still persisted with their crawling dash in hopes of being the ones to gain the Progenitor's favor.

"O-OH GREAT PROGENITOR, F-FORGIVE ME! I-I have eyes but failed to s-see you for the great one you are! P-Please, t-take me under your wing! T-Teach me the ways of the universe and....!" Khar'hon shouted.

")(-)(%@± @r§ y#u d#!ng?!" was all they heard from the Progenitor.

Before Khar'hon could finish his pitch, he was tossed away by a strong force. His organs were rattling out of place as he stared ahead with eyes wide open.

Gas and Claw'Ron also stopped in their tracks, but not because they saw Khar'hon being kicked away as if he was trash.

They stopped and were frozen in shock, as both them and Khar'hon watched their Progenitor wave his arm and tear the fabric of space open.

He created a space rift and jumped straight inside.

The three didn't have any time to react at all, the course of the changes in their Progenitor expression and actions were too fast! They stared helpless as the rift close and their Progenitor disappearing behind it, leaving them alone with the surrounding space dust.

"NOOOOO!! How could this be?! The opportunity to ascend above everyone else in our race has just slipped through my very fingers!" Khar'hon screamed while looking at his two palms. Tears began dripping from his eyes as grief of the missed opportunity overwhelmed him.

Gas and Claw'Ron watched the sobbing Khar'hon without any feelings, except the same grief that they too felt.

After lamenting for a good while the greatest missed opportunity of their lifetime, they left the crying Khar'hon behind as they both rushed towards their respective tribes. Who knows, maybe they would still benefit from this whole ordeal when they report on the Progenitor's appearance.

What followed later though, after their respective reports, were not the rewards they were expecting. Their elders were shocked after hearing them out and dismissed them immediately before they rushed themselves out of their tribes' territories.

Sometime later, the two elders met at their race's joined territory where the City of the Seats was situated. After meeting with some of the top seats they were acquainted with and relayed the information, a grand meeting was held one day later.

In a majestic building of gargantuan proportions, constant muttering and chatter filled a spacious hall. In here, one hundred and one seats were placed and occupied for this meeting.

All those who belonged in the top one hundred power seats of their Thousand-Dimensions Beast Race were present and seated.

In the seat that was left, a figure exuding a palpable and suffocating aura was seated. His figure was humanoid, with two legs and two arms and while seated, he was three meters (9,8 feet) tall.

His body was all covered by black scales which gleamed but also had an abyss-like shadow on them while from his shoulders an arc was formed with his black flesh and bones which circled over his head.

This individual didn't belong to the top one hundred seats; he was someone above them. He was the current Ancestor Protector of their race, and he had two thousand years of experience under his belt.

"ENOUGH!" shouted the ancestor, irritated by the noisy hall.

Immediately, without any second of delay, everyone in the hall quieted down.

"There is no need for crazy theories or suspicion. Our Progenitor perished one thousand years ago and that is a fact no matter how we want it not to be true."

"And that is why we are sure the individual that made his appearance a couple of days ago in front of our youngsters could never be our Progenitor! The youngsters were mistaken!"

"Now! The current questions we need answers to are the following. If he is not our Progenitor, then who is he? Is he a member of our race as he appeared to be? And finally, where is he now?"

"Immediately call the numbers of your respective tribes, scatter in every direction possible and find the answers to these questions! This meeting is now over!"

The ancestor commanded. Soon after, all one hundred seats were out of the hall and on their way to carry out the order.

A massive manhunt began right after, a hunt this universe has never seen before.
