Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: A Weakling with a Power Level of Only 10

As he looked at the two strangers who had suddenly barged in, Dr. Kochin suddenly felt a faint sense of danger.

But he quickly dismissed the thought—how could there be danger? He had three bio-warriors at his side, each one a pinnacle product of Dr. Wheelo's scientific genius—each strong enough to destroy an entire tank division!

Turning to Lynx, Dr. Kochin shouted:

"Who are you two?! This doesn't concern you. Get lost!"

But Lynx just gave a mischievous grin.

And beside him, Hanasia sneered:

"A pathetic worm with a power level of only 10 dares to speak that way to His Majesty Lynx?"

"Pathetic?! Did you just call me, Dr. Kochin, trash? Go! Teach this wench a lesson!"

Enraged, Dr. Kochin slammed his cane to the ground and commanded the three bio-warriors to attack.

The three humanoid monsters—similar in appearance to Saibamen—rushed toward Lynx and Hanasia.

"Your Majesty, what are these things? They look like Saibamen."

Hanasia remained unfazed, actually more curious than worried.

"Probably some kind of bio-weapons, like Saibamen," Lynx replied.

Hanasia chuckled,

"Bio-weapons? With power levels not even reaching 200? What a joke."

Seeing the two strangers completely unafraid, Dr. Kochin began to panic.

"What are you waiting for?! Attack!!"

The three bio-warriors leapt toward Hanasia.

But the moment they moved, Hanasia's eyes gleamed.

She raised her fingers, and—

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Three invisible blasts of ki shot out, and in an instant, the three bio-warriors were blown to bits.

"W-What?!"

Dr. Kochin paled in terror.

What had that woman just done? His unstoppable bio-warriors were shredded in a single move?

Cold sweat poured down his forehead.

His earlier instincts had been right—these two were extremely dangerous!

"Now then… any last words?"

Hanasia stepped forward, smirking coldly. Dr. Kochin stumbled backward, trembling.

"S-Stay back!!"

He suddenly dropped his cane. His left arm transformed into a Gatling gun, revealing his cyborg body.

Indeed, in order to extend his life, Dr. Kochin had turned himself into a half-machine.

Bang bang bang bang bang! A hail of bullets sprayed forth, striking Hanasia directly.

But she didn't even flinch.

Smiling coldly, she raised her right hand. A glowing sphere of energy began to form in her palm.

"Wait!"

Suddenly, Dr. Brief shouted from behind.

He didn't fully understand what was happening, but he knew Kochin was about to die!

And that wouldn't help him—his eldest daughter was still in Wheelo's hands!

But Hanasia paid him no mind. In the next second—

BOOM!

A violent blast incinerated Dr. Kochin on the spot.

Mrs. Brief and little Bulma screamed, and Dr. Brief stood there frozen, pain written across his face.

"Tights…!"

Just then, Lynx stepped forward.

"Dr. Brief, hello. My name is Lynx.

I came here today to talk about a collaboration."

"Collaboration?! Do you know what you've just done?!

That man had kidnapped my daughter!

And now you've killed him—what happens to her now?!"

"You dare speak to His Majesty like that?!"

Hanasia instantly vanished and appeared in front of Dr. Brief, her palm raised to slap him.

Startled by her sudden approach, Dr. Brief instinctively shut his eyes in fear.

"Hold on."

Lynx raised his hand and stopped her.

"Dr. Brief, don't be afraid. And don't be angry.

I might actually know where your daughter is."

Dr. Brief opened his eyes.

"You do?!"

"Yes. That guy just now was Dr. Wheelo's assistant, right?

If I remember correctly, his base should be located in a place called Zrumpa Snow Mountain, isn't it?"

"Zrumpa Snow Mountain?" Dr. Brief paused, confused.

"Daddy! Zrumpa Snow Mountain is where Dr. Wheelo's old research lab used to be!"

A young voice piped up from the side.

Both Lynx and Dr. Brief turned their heads—it was young Bulma, hiding behind her mother, nervously peeking out.

"I… I read it in a book," she added timidly.

"Dr. Brief, do you know where this snow mountain is located?"

"Roughly 2,000 kilometers northwest of West City…" Dr. Brief answered subconsciously, then frowned." Wait, why are you asking that?"

"I'm going to retrieve your daughter."

Lynx turned to Hanasia.

"Hana, stay here.

Be polite to Dr. Brief and his family, understood?"

Then, in a flash—he vanished using Instant Transmission.

"H-He disappeared?!"

The Brief family was stunned.

Far away, in the frigid expanse of Zrumpa Snow Mountain, a massive fortress-like research facility stood.

Inside, a young woman with short blond hair, resembling both Bulma and Mrs. Brief, was throwing a full-on tantrum.

Her wrists and ankles were shackled, but that didn't stop her from kicking and flailing furiously.

"You damn brain-in-a-jar! You pervert! You psycho mad scientist! Let me go!

I have a friend in the Galactic Patrol, you hear me?

If you don't release me, I'll have him lock you up in galactic prison!"

Not far from her, a giant brain in a vat let out a low, mechanical growl.

"Dr. Kochin! Dr. Kochin! Respond immediately! What are you doing?!"

The brain belonged to Dr. Wheelo, the real mastermind behind all of this.

In a bid to achieve immortality, he had his assistant extract his brain and place it inside a robot body.

But just as Wheelo repeatedly tried to contact his missing assistant—

A new figure suddenly materialized next to the blonde woman.

"Huh?"

The girl stopped mid-rant and looked at Lynx, blinking in confusion.

"Sorry… but how did you get in here?"

Lynx gave her a quick look.

"You're Tights, Dr. Brief's eldest daughter, right?"

"Yep."

She nodded, still baffled.

Lynx twitched his finger slightly.

Clink! In the next instant, Tights's shackles shattered and fell to the floor.

"I'm a friend of your dad. I came to get you out.

Grab on to me."

He held out his hand.

"Whoa! How'd you do that?!"

Tights stared at the broken chains in disbelief, then grabbed his hand excitedly.

"Hey—are you some kind of alien?

Is that a tail around your waist? Come on, tell me!"

Just as Lynx was about to reply, a deep voice boomed from the lab:

"You! Who are you?!

How did you break into my research facility?!"

It was Dr. Wheelo, and he'd finally detected the intruder.
