Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Journey to Korin Tower

"Scientific equipment?" Dr. Brief looked wary.

"Mr. Lynx, with all due respect, you're already incredibly powerful. Earth's weapons…"

"No, Doctor, you misunderstood," Lynx cut in. "Let me be direct. I only need two things right now: a healing pod, and a gravity chamber."

Dr. Brief blinked in surprise.

"Healing pod? Gravity chamber?"

Lynx looked around, then pointed outside toward the garden.

"Doctor, let's go over there. I'll show you something."

They headed into the luxurious estate's garden, which was large enough to rival a city park.

Finding a flat area, Lynx waved his hand and produced a healing pod—one he had brought from Planet Vegeta—directly from his system space.

Its sudden appearance left Dr. Brief utterly dumbfounded.

"Th-This… Mr. Lynx, how did you do that?! Is that a Capsule product?"

"No. Just think of it as one of my special abilities," Lynx said casually.

Patting the pod, he continued:

"This is a healing device we use. It can fully restore someone with grave injuries in a short amount of time.

Doctor, I want you to replicate it—and produce 100 units!"

"Once the healing pod is done, I'll also need at least 10 gravity chambers, capable of artificial gravity control.

Our planet's gravity is 10 times that of Earth, so the chamber must go up to at least 20x gravity."

"These are essential for the Saiyan race.

The gravity chambers can wait—but the 100 healing pods, I hope you can finish them within a month."

Dr. Brief looked troubled.

"Mr. Lynx, after what you've done for my family and for Tights, I'm willing to try.

But truthfully… I've never worked with biological or gravitational tech before. I'm not sure I can really do it."

Though a genius inventor, even Dr. Brief had limits. These two fields were new to him, and his confidence wavered.

Just then, a voice rang out:

"Daddy! If we already have a prototype, I think I can replicate it quickly. After that, we can let the robots handle mass production!"

"Huh?"

Both men turned to see Bulma run out from behind a tree.

The little girl beamed at the healing pod in excitement, then flashed her father a proud smile—eager for praise.

"Really, Bulma? You're sure?" Dr. Brief was stunned.

"Yup! Oh, Lynx-onii chan, do you also have a sample of the gravity chamber? If so, I think I can handle that too.

I've actually been studying anti-gravity systems recently!"

Dr. Brief chuckled awkwardly.

"Sorry, Mr. Lynx. This is my daughter Bulma. Don't be fooled by her age—she's actually even more of a genius than I am."

"Is that so?" Lynx wasn't surprised. After all, Bulma was probably the smartest person in the entire Dragon Ball world.

"Thank you, Bulma. You've helped me a lot. If you have any wish, just tell me—I'll make it happen."

Lynx ruffled her hair with a smile.

Immediately, Bulma blushed crimson.

"U-Um… Lynx-onii chan, I heard my sister say you can fly… Could you take me flying?"

"That's all you want?"

"Mm-hmm!" Bulma nodded firmly.

"Dr. Brief, may I take Miss Bulma for a short flight?"

"S-Sure, go ahead." Though clearly nervous, Dr. Brief didn't dare say no.

Lynx took Bulma's hand, and they soared into the sky.

"Oh my gosh! Hahaha! I'm really flying! This is amazing!"

Just like her sister Tights, Bulma wasn't afraid of flying. On the contrary, she cheered excitedly:

"Lynx-oniichan, can we go faster?"

"Of course."

He pulled her closer and accelerated. Under the protection of his ki, their speed quickly surpassed that of a fighter jet, yet Bulma felt no discomfort—only excitement.

Her cheeks were flushed red. Clearly, this flight had left a deep impression on her.

"Bulma, should we head back now?"

"Nooo! Can we fly a little longer?"

"A little longer, huh?" Lynx thought for a moment, then his eyes lit up.

"In that case… how about I take you to meet God?"

"God?! Where?! Are you serious?!"

Bulma looked around eagerly. Even though she was a genius, she was still a child—and just like others, fascinated by myths and legends.

"Yup. Just wait. I'll take you there right now!"

Lynx planned to visit Korin Tower and Kami's Lookout anyway.

Now that he had Bulma with him, he simply adjusted his schedule and decided to go now.

Korin Tower was located in a remote region, far from civilization. Traveling there by plane from West City would take several hours.

But with Lynx's speed, it took almost no time at all before the soaring tower came into view.

At that moment, atop the tower, Master Korin began trembling.

"Wh-What terrifying ki! Why is that alien coming here?!"

Up in Kami's Lookout, even the green-skinned Kami turned pale.

"Could it be… that alien has found me?"

"Whoa!"

Bulma gaped at the towering structure. Her jaw nearly unhinged.

Even though she was a native Earthling, she had never heard of this place. The tower was taller than any known structure on Earth—how had no one told her about it?

"Lynx-oniichan, is that where God lives?"

"That's Korin Tower, home of the hermit. God's temple is even higher—above that."

"Even higher?!"

Today was just full of shocks for Bulma. Meeting aliens, seeing gods and immortals—it was a dream come true.

Her little face turned red from excitement.

Moments later, Lynx and Bulma landed at the top of Korin Tower.

"Lynx-oniichan, where's the hermit? Where is he?!"

The moment she landed, Bulma looked around excitedly—completely ignoring the stunned-looking Korin nearby.

"Ahem!" Korin cleared his throat.

"Pardon me, I am the hermit."

"Huh?!" Bulma gasped.

"Lynx-oniichan! That cat just talked!"

"He's not a cat—he's immortal."
