Freya's POV
Cecilia Felix was seething with rage when I arrived, and I walked straight into her verbal assault.
"I called Jasper Tristan, and she picked up his phone without permission. How is that my fault?" My temper flared as I shot back, "Stop being so hostile all the time. Watch out, or your daughter might face double the consequences."
"Freya Colby! You're absolutely vicious!" Cecilia Felix's voice cracked as she screamed, "If you're so tough, then never get sick again in your life!"
I had no desire to continue this pointless argument, so I replied flatly, "I genuinely didn't mean anything by it. How was I supposed to know Jasper Tristan left his phone in the hospital room?"
"Jasper is your brother-in-law now. Don't you understand you need to maintain proper boundaries? Why couldn't you pass messages through someone else? I think you're just unwilling to let go and still trying to interfere with Jasper. Thank goodness Lila caught it in time!"
