Freya's POV
Living alone means I can settle anywhere. The villa holds memories, but the people who mattered are gone. I despise that place now. I made my words deliberately harsh, wanting to express my complete rejection of our shared home.
The truth was different. Every piece of furniture, every carefully chosen detail in that villa came from my own selections. I had loved creating that space.
But nothing mattered more than reclaiming the bracelet my mother left behind.
Jasper's response came quickly. How much do you want?
Eight million.
I could have calculated depreciation for renovations and furnishings, but fairness wasn't my concern. He betrayed me first. Why should I show him any consideration?
His generosity caught me off guard. I'll give you fifteen million. Tomorrow afternoon, we'll handle the transfer. You don't need to rush moving out though. Stay as long as you need.
The offer was unexpectedly generous, almost suspicious.
