The notification on my phone buzzed incessantly. I opened one of the messages and my breath caught in my throat. The image showed Hazel White on her knees at the courthouse entrance, begging me for mercy.
Everything clicked into place. The Tristan family relatives who had shown up that day weren't there for moral support. They came armed with cameras, ready to twist the narrative in their favor.
Had they completely lost their minds?
I possessed damning evidence of Mira Tristan's crimes. My original plan was simple - file a report and let the legal system handle it. I never intended to drag this mess into the public eye.
