Freya's POV
The conference room door burst open with such force it rattled the glass walls. Cecilia Felix stormed in like a woman possessed, her face twisted with rage.
"Freya Colby, Hannah Colby! What gives you the right to transfer those shares? That company was Waylon Colby's life's work, and you vultures are tearing it apart piece by piece. You disgust me! Think you can waltz in and become president? Over my dead body!"
The entire room went dead silent. Even the air seemed to freeze.
My aunt recovered first, stepping forward with that practiced diplomatic smile she wore like armor. "Sister-in-law, please calm down. My brother is behind bars. He can't exactly run board meetings from his prison cell. I've dedicated over ten years to this company. Nobody knows it better than I do."
"Bullshit! Don't play innocent with me, Hannah Colby. I see right through your little scheme. You're vultures picking at his bones while he's down!"
