Jasper Tristan's expression remained stone-cold, refusing to even glance in Lila's direction. His indifference cut through the hospital room like a blade.
"Jasper Tristan! Are you completely deaf?" Lila's voice cracked with fury as she grabbed everything within reach from the bedside table, hurling items at him with reckless abandon.
"Lila, please stop this madness—" Cecilia Felix's face went pale watching her daughter rip the IV needle from her hand, blood trickling down her pale skin.
Jasper dodged the flying objects with practiced ease before finally responding. His voice carried no warmth, no trace of the man who once claimed to love her.
"If you want something that badly, go get it yourself. I have business to attend to."
The finality in his tone struck the room like thunder. Jasper Tristan possessed the ruthless decisiveness that defined powerful men. When he made a choice, he committed completely, burning every bridge behind him.
