KAASHVI'S POV
I was extremely angry when Elena told me what happened to Mahira. This family is really starting to get on my nerves. They're so hell bent on ruining Mahira's life and joy. I leave her alone for a month and she's already imprisoned for attempted murder. That bitch Ariana really doesn't like peace. This woman is so fucked up. I really don't trust her and im going to expose her as my revenge for what she's done. She's busy hiding under a mask acting like a heavenly sent angel. Mahira is way too weak. Just because it's that moron ' Thane's ' family she won't argue. As soon as I get those charges dropped. I am going to take her away myself because she's not safe.
Driver " Madam,we have arrived at the Carson family mansion."
Kaashvi " Thank you. Here's your money. Keep the change."
Im here now and I am going to wreak havoc to the people who are making Mahira's life difficult.
End of Kaashvi's POV
Kaashvi bribed the security guard to let her in the mansion. It was late at midnight and everyone was asleep. Kaashvi was not going to let the Carson family sleep in peace whilst her best friend was barely comfortable. She looked at the house and then switched on the lights. For someone like her, finding her way around the mansion was not difficult. She went to the kitchen,took a pan and a spoon then started making noise in order to wake everyone who was there. Ariana grabbed Kaashvi's hand to stop her from making noise.
" Kaashvi. What are you doing here? Did your driver get the wrong location? This is the Carson house not the prison cell that Mahira is locked in."
Kaashvi looked at her with disgust. She then circled around her then looked at everyone who looked irritated by her disturbance.
Sofia " it's twelve pm midnight, you crazy girl. What do you want here? What do you think of yourself disturbing our sleep?"
Rose " Exactly you hooligan. What do you want here?"
Kaashvi looked at all of them with a displeased facial expression.
" Well you know what, let me tell you a few important details before you piss me off further. I am Kaashvi Reyes, best friend of Mahira Riley. Na-bi to the world but a devil to this miserable family. Where the fuck is that good for nothing son of yours Ms Sofia?"
Sofia" Don't you dare talk about my son!"
Kaashvi " Why? You don't like it. I guessed so but it's okay I just started. Where's that mother fucker anyway?"
Ariana pretended to be angry.
" Kaashvi! How dare you call my husband a mother fucker. Your best friend is the real slut here..."
PAAAH
Kaashvi didn't waste a single minute and slapped Ariana. Ariana was sent flying to the floor. Her light skin now had a five finger imprint.
" Listen here,each and every one of you. I don't like it when people are busy badmouthing Mahira. Taking advantage of her only because she's naive . Now that Kaashvi Reyes is here, I'll show you what it means to disrespect Mahira."
Thane intervened
" What makes you think that you can just barge in our home, disturb my family's peace and say whatever you want. You even assaulted my wife."
Kaashvi" I can do it again, do you want to see? Im not scared of you Thane. You fuck up with Mahira's life and you think I'll let you go. No way. My best friend was arrested under false charge's. The case is in three weeks right. Well not anymore , I just made sure the case is on fast track. I will prove Mahira's innocence and whilst I do that, trust me, I'll expose this bitch you call a wife."
Ariana stoop up from the floor in an attempt to defend herself but Kaashvi slapped her once again.
" I suggest you stay on the floor because if you try to be on my level. I will forget that you are the daughter of the Montez 's."
Alf " Wait dear. What's with all the drama? I am the one who called you here . Please follow me. All of you, you can go back to sleep now."
Kaashvi silently followed Alf to her room. As they got there, Alf closed her bedroom door and locked it. Elena was sitting on the bed with a guilt ridden face.
Alf " You must be Kaashvi right."
Kaashvi" Yes I am Kaashvi and I..."
Alf " okay. I am Alf Carson. Im pretty sure you know who Elena Carson is right."
Kaashvi " Yes I do."
Alf " Good."
Elena interrupts their conversation.
" Kaashvi ma'am I really didn't mean to misunderstand Mahira fairy. I wasn't thinking straight. Im really sorry."
Kaashvi was not so easily pursueded. She hated the fact that even Elena had misunderstood Mahira . Now her goal was to get Mahira away from the Carson family.
" Listen here Elena. Get this straight. There's a huge difference between me and Mahira. Ms Alf, I understand you are older than me but im not going to consider that when it comes to Mahira. Elena, Mahira loves you so much. More than life itself but it took just one incident for you to forget your bond and turn against her. Mahira will never be safe or happy as long as her fate is intertwined with the Carson family. That's why as soon as I win this fuckin case, I'm taking Mahira with me."
Elena " Auntie plea...."
Kaashvi " No Elena,my decision is final. Im not going to change my mind. Alf you are the elderst so pass on this message. Make sure no one comes near Mahira."
After saying that, Kaashvi left the mansion. She called her best lawyer and made Mahira's case be on fast track
COURTROOM 3 State Vs Mahira
Kaashvi had not met Mahira in prison because she was angry at her but she was going to make sure that she won the courtroom case no matter what. Mahira was brought into the courtroom with handcuffs on her arm's.
Prosecutor Rachel Patel " Your Honor,the evidence will show that Mahira deliberately attempted to murder Mrs Alf Carson with premeditation."
Judge Thompson " Ms Kaashvi,how does your client plead."
Defense attorney Kaashvi " Not guilty your Honor".
Prosecutor Patel "We have eye witness testimony from Ariana herself, security footage at the Carson kitchen garden placing Mahira at the scene, and a motive,a long standing fued."
Defense attorney Kaashvi" The eye witness testimony is unreliable,the footage is circumstantial and the motive is fabricated."
Judge Thompson" The prosecution's case seems strong, Ms Kaashvi."
Defense attorney Kaashvi" we have new evidence, your Honor. The new found evidence proves that this was all Ariana's plan to murder Mrs Alf for all her wealth to be transferred to ' Thane Carson ' . A surveillance video from a nearby alley show's Ariana's brother, Ethan, planting evidence. Another footage clearly shows that Ariana planned Alf's murder as she was in a restaurant with Ethan, executing her next plan."
Prosecutor Patel" objection! This video is suspiciously convenient "
Judge Thompson" Overruled. Continue."
Defense attorney Kaashvi" furthermore, Ethan has a history of drug dealing and violence. We believe Ariana and her brother fabricated this case."
Prosecutor Patel" that's outrageous!"
Judge Thompson" order! The jury will deliberate."
During the break
Ariana secretly meet's up with Kaashvi in an attempt to threaten her.
"Kaashvi, you bitch. Why are you trying to incriminate me,huh?"
Kaashvi" Ariana, I am not the Carson family okay. So there's no need to pretend with me because I know your truth.
Ariana's innocent mask fell off
" You are right Kaashvi. Why should I pretend before you? The evidence you presented is not strong enough to prove that Mahira is innocent. Mahira will spend half of her life in prison. You won't be able to prove me guilty."
Kaashvi was simply irritated by Ariana's over confidence.
" Ariana, don't you know that over confidence can kill you?"
Ariana looked at the phone in Kaashvi's hand's that clearly had the evidence of all Ariana's misdeeds. She grabs it and completely destroys it
Kaashvi " what the hell Ariana? That phone had all the evidence against you."
Ariana "Exactly! That's why I destroyed it. Now there's absolutely no chance of winning this case. So now that you have nothing to record or prove your point with let me tell you a secret."
Ariana had a huge smile playing on her face as she started explaining how she managed to poison Alf.
"Well Kaashvi,im pretty sure you know this.. I don't love that idiot Thane, I just want his money. That day when poor Mahira prepared gajar ka halwa and kheer she left the kitchen to go find something in the storeroom. That's when I put poison in Alf's dish. It was very easy to accuse Mahira. My plan was to kill that old hag but no , I don't know how she survived. As soon as Mahira is imprisoned, you just wait and watch. I will murder that old woman and feed her remains to the animals."
Ariana left with a smile on her face but she failed to realize that Kaashvi had a smile that symbolized victory.
Jury returns
Foreman" We find the defendant, Mahira Riley GUILTY."
Ariana smiled.
Defense attorney Kaashvi" no your Honor. I have one last piece of evidence that will prove that my client Mahira is not guilty."
Judge Thompson " bring forth your evidence."
Kaashvi gave the judge her phone. In the video,it showed Ariana's confession of trying to murder Alf.
Judge Thompson " The evidence presented by defense attorney Kaashvi Reyes clearly proves that Mrs Ariana Carson tried to poison Mrs Alf Carson with the hidden motive of asurping all of Thane Carson's wealth."
Foreman " we find the defendant, Mahira,not guilty and Mrs Ariana Carson guilty of the attempted murder of Alf Carson."
( Court erupts)
Ariana " No! This can't be!"
Ariana was arrested for Alf Carson's attempted murder as Mahira was proved innocent.
Ariana " All of you, just wait and watch. I'll come back for my revenge. I have lost today all because of that Kaashvi. I will come back,mark my words, I'll destroy all of you!"
Ariana was taken away. Kaashvi hugged Mahira.
Mahira" thank you Kaashu. You exposed Ariana and proved my innocence. Thank you."
Kaashvi " justice is served. No one harm's Kaashvi Reyes bestie."
Kaashvi approaches Thane and his family outside the courtroom.
"Today's verdict shouldn't come as a surprise. The truth always comes to light. I advise you to stop pursuing vendetta's and heal "
Rose" How dare you. You think you've won,but this isn't over."
Kaashvi" I'm warning you, cease all your attempts to harm Mahira. Her protector is here now. I only exposed Ariana so that Mahira can come with me to London without any objection. You let Thane marry a witch like Ariana leaving Mahira in tears but she still care's for you."
