Don't give up on her
It had been a week since Mahira left for London. Kaashvi went back to Korea at Leo's behest. Thane was just a mess. Alf decides to speak to both Thane and Elena because Mahira's departure left them a mess.
Alf " Elena tell me how you feel."
Elena looked at Thane with longing eye's then buried her face in her palms. Alf rubbed her back to calm her down then turned out Thane to ask the same question.
" Thane how do you feel?"
Thane " grandmother I have never lied to you. I wish I had Mahira with me right now but she's gone."
Elena looked at Thane but only anger was visible.
" Brother, did I not ask you to give Mahira a chance. You know what? It's good she left because you don't deserve her."
Alf "Elena, I know you are hurt but I am trying to fix things."
Elena kept quiet.
Alf" Im going to give you both a chance to speak but for now I want you to tell the whole family that they should come to the dining room, there's a family meeting."
Alf went downstairs to the dining room. Each family member came one by one. They all looked at Alf, curiosity written all over their faces. The maid's brought in dish after dish of food.
Alf " For what we are about to talk about, you will need energy to fight and to place your opinion. So I suggest you eat "
Sofia " Mother. What could be so important that you called all of us here?"
Alf " Learn to follow orders. Just eat to your hearts content before the food gets cold."
The family sat quietly stealing glances at Alf as they ate food laid out on the table. After eating, Alf broke the silence.
" I called you all here so that we could talk about Mahira. How do you all feel about her? And please, when you voice your opinions, speak like civilized people."
Gabriel (Thane's father) spoke up first
" Honestly mother in law, I don't know the girl much. From what I heard about her she's been misunderstood. When I first saw her I couldn't believe that such a young and beautiful girl had to go through that. She made mistakes and people judged her from her past so I don't have a problem with her."
Sofia looked at her husband then voiced her opinion.
" Mother,that girl is just obsessed with my son. She's not as innocent as she looks. She's a wolf in sheep's skin. I hate her."
Rose " Yes auntie. I totally agree with you. Mahira is like a venomous snake waiting to strike. She made cousin's life miserable. If it were up to me, I wish we never met her."
Jordan" You shouldn't always judge a book by its cover."
Zack " She seems nice to me. Look she bought me a dinasour toy."
Their opinions soon turned into an argument. Other's were disagreeing on Mahira's good side while other's just spoke ill of her.
"Enough!"
Thane's hand's hit the table.
"I understand you all care about me but don't misunderstand Mahira. You all hate her because of what she's done to me right. But what if I am the one who is wrong. Listen my mind is a mess okay. I don't know how I feel about Mahira but it's not hatred. Please stop it. All of you."
Alf " like I said this is a peaceful meeting not meant to make you all fight . If you hate her state your reasons."
Jordan"grandmother, why are we even talking about her? Talking about her will just make everyone fight."
Alf" Jordan. We are talking about her because it seems your brother Thane has fallen in love with her. Only difference is that Mahira is gone now and where ever she is she's trying to move on."
Thane" Grandmother! Wait, what do you mean I have fallen for her?"
Elena" Grandmother, what's the point? Even if he loves her,fairy is gone. Honestly if you had been nice to her brother she would still be here but all you care about is your stupid relationships that never work out."
Alf " Elena! Respect your brother and mind your language."
Rose " Cousin,are you in love with that bitch?"
Thane" I don't know about love,but I want to rejoin the military force. I forgot my dream for grandmother's sake so ...".
Alf " Thane, your sudden decision to join the military force is understandable but you will only go there only after you fix things between you and Mahira. Only after that can you step down from the family business."
Sofia " Mother it's his dream to join the military force whether we approve of it or not. You can't decide that for him."
Thane"Grandmother, Mahira deserves to start afresh without me. I have only caused her pain. Why should I go back to her?"
Alf " Before I die, I want you to get a bride for yourself."
Thane's excuses and defenses all broke. He didn't want to admit that he wanted Mahira in front of anyone but he did.
" Grandmother, I do love her."
Everyone looked at him shocked.
" I love her but I can't be with her because once I join the military force, I will have to leave her and I don't want to leave her as a widow. That's why I won't pursue her."
Alf " That girl loves you. Whether you join the army,she loves you and she would be willing to wait for you. You can join the army and pursue her as well. Don't give up on her. It's impossible for her to move on. For her sake atleast find her and make thing's right."
Elena" Brother I think you should find her and bring her home. I will take care of her. Please brother."
Thane " Okay."
This was now the beginning of a new chapter but with dire consequence's.
