Kai's POV
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN KILL HER?" It was Kai's voice that shook the windows in the pack house.
Beta Marcus took a step back. He looked pale. "Alpha, I'm just telling you what I heard." Maya shouldn't have been brought back living by Victoria's men. They are told to get rid of her and any proof that she is pregnant.
Kai's world turned upside down. It was so hard for him to hold on to the desk that the wood cracked. Maya was riding his motorcycle in the dark and running for her life. His own wife had told him to kill her.
"Tell me exactly what you heard," Kai growled, his wolf clawing to get out.
Marcus swallowed hard. "I was checking the radio communications. Victoria's squad leader said, 'The Luna wants the problem permanently solved. No witnesses, no bastard children, no loose ends.'"
