Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

The air was heavier.

As if simply stepping into Room 3 smothered your thoughts.

The floor had changed—no more rough stone. Now, black, glossy tiles reflected every movement. Cracked mirrors were embedded in the walls, and from the ceiling, faintly vibrating chains hung in silence.

"This… isn't just a physical trap, is it?"

"No. It's something else."

Lin watched quietly from his interface. He had designed this room to test a different aspect of adventurers: their minds.

The moment each adventurer stepped onto the tiles, their reflection began to shift.

A smile that wasn't theirs.A hollow stare.A twitch that felt... wrong.

"That's not me…""I saw my reflection... wink at me."

The priestess, already shaken from Room 2, tensed up.

"Lin… they're not ready for this.""That's the point."

Echoes began to ripple through the chamber. Voices—identical to theirs, but off.Distorted memories crept in.

"You were never strong enough.""They're laughing at you.""You'll be the next to fall."

"No… That's not true…"

A wall shot up behind them. The exit vanished.

"Move! Don't just stand there!"

They followed a corridor that slowly widened into a round chamber. At its center stood a broken ring of mirrors—and within it, a throne. Empty.Or not.

On the throne sat a blurred silhouette.

The warrior stepped forward, sword ready. But it wasn't the creature he saw…It was himself—wounded, dying.

"That's… me?"

"You won't survive. You'll drag them all down with you."

He stepped back. The reflection stepped forward—Then shattered into a thousand glass shards.

The archer fired an arrow—It bounced in the air, twisted, and struck her own arm.

"Tch… This thing is hell!"

The creature wasn't attacking.

It was answering.

Feeding on fear. On doubt.

Meanwhile, Lin adjusted a rune.

"I want them to understand… this dungeon is alive."

He wasn't aiming to kill this time.He was aiming for humility.

In the end, it was the priestess who crossed the circle.

Her steps were shaky. But steady.

She reached the throne.

Placed her hand on it.

Silence.

The silhouette vanished.

The path opened.

"…It was a test. A test of will."

[Access to Boss Room: Unlocked.]

They moved slowly through a corridor lined with statues.Torches lit up one by one as they passed.

Far ahead, a massive obsidian door awaited them.

"This is it... We're here."

The thief, revived thanks to a healing artifact, glanced coldly at the others.

"Let's make it quick. Grab the loot. Then we're out."

Lin smiled.

They had no idea what was waiting on the other side.

"One final lesson…And then—silence."
