On the Ark, despair hung in the air as everyone watched Superman approach. Even Damian, now wearing the mantle of Batman, struggled to keep his composure. Maintaining a neutral expression was his last-ditch effort to keep from falling apart.

The survivors had all been protected by Superman at some point, so they knew his power firsthand. The thought that he could destroy the two Arks carrying 1.4 billion lives in a single breath was terrifying.

But one person stepped forward, resolute.

"Joe!" a voice called out.

The name instantly revealed his identity: Jonathan Kent Jr., the son of Superman and the closest thing Earth had to a living Kryptonian. In this dire situation, he was the only one with even a chance of fighting his father.

"Joe, you're no match for Clark," Louise pleaded, her motherly instincts overriding everything else. She knew the stakes—if Superman wasn't stopped, all 1.4 billion people on board would die, and humanity would be extinct. Yet, the thought of her son, a child, facing his invincible father was unbearable.

"Mom, there are some things only I can do, and I have to do them," Jonathan said, gently rejecting her plea. He unzipped his jacket, revealing the House of El crest and the iconic red and blue suit beneath. "I'll buy them time. Even if it costs me my life, I'll stop my father from destroying and killing."

He was about to fly out when Damian grabbed his arm.

"Damian? Are you trying to talk me out of it? That's not like you."

Their friendship was stronger than the one between Batman and Superman, but Damian had been raised by the Caped Crusader. His training kicked in, demanding a rational judgment.

"No, I just want to give you something," Damian said, pulling a specialized smoke sprayer from his utility belt. "This is a gas that can slow Superman down. Batman designed it, and I've modified it to work in space. But you have to get close to him, or it won't work."

Damian knew it was a huge risk. The gas would affect Jonathan just as much as Superman, but he had no other options. The virus outbreak had happened only a month ago, and he had no time or resources for his own research. He was relying entirely on Batman's legacy. There was no other way to deal with the virus-controlled Superman.

"Thank you." Jonathan took the sprayer, aware of the danger. At this point, he would take any chance, no matter how risky.

Clutching Damian's gift, he shot into space at full speed, heading for Superman. He soon met Lucian, who was already engaged in a confrontation with the Man of Steel.

"Lucian? You're alive!" Jonathan's voice was full of surprise. He had assumed Superman's rampage meant all the heroes on Earth were gone.

"Joe... protect... the survivors... I'll... take care of Superman..." Lucian's words were strained. The Red Kryptonite was wreaking havoc on his body, causing it to violently absorb the solar energy from his Black Armor. Every cell felt like it was being roasted alive, but the process gave him enough power to match the wounded Superman. He just wasn't sure how long he could hold on.

Jonathan noticed Lucian's pain and shook his head, refusing to leave him alone. He flew to his side and said simply, "Let's fight together. Let's protect everyone!"

As Jonathan spoke, Superman attacked. He became a red blur, hurtling toward them. The two heroes charged forward to meet him. Jonathan used his full strength to pin Superman's remaining left arm, while Lucian collided head-on with Superman's torso.

The collision was immense. Lucian felt like he'd been hit by an asteroid. Despite his enhanced strength, the force of the impact made him spit blood. The Black Armor, built by Lex Luthor from all of Earth's most advanced technology, was severely damaged.

But Lucian didn't back down. He pushed Superman away and landed a full-strength punch on his face. The blow only made Superman's head tilt slightly and left a scratch that healed instantly. It was clear that even with all their combined efforts, they could only hope to stop Superman, not defeat him.

The next moment, Superman's eyes blazed with heat vision, a terrifying beam that narrowly missed the distant Ark. Lucian grabbed Jonathan and dodged the attack, but the moon wasn't so lucky. A small section of its surface was instantly flattened, a new, massive crater carved into its face.
