Myra's POV
"Just wanted to know the truth." Kira's voice sounded out loud.
There was so much silence that followed that like a whip, Kira had just rushed in demanding to know the truth of what happened since her birth.
I didn't try to speak at first, because I am just seeing my first born child after so many years, I held onto my breath, torn between saying the truth and holding back.
"No more hidden stares and no more half-answers, just say it please, and why does this feel like you don't even care about me?" She asked.
The silence was too long, then I spoke out but it was low, worn and shaking.
"Because there's nothing I can do."
I was standing at the center beside the center table, my fingers were holding the side as if it held me upright.
Kira was standing across from me, her body was really tensed, her eyes were shining with something that looked far too weak for the girl that had hunted all her life.
"You were taken," I said.
"What?" Kira blinked.
