"Please help Doctor Aaron with his luck problem. After all, it's not good for him to keep having such bad luck."

Leyton requested of Destiny, then turned to Doctor Aaron and said,

"Old Mister Destiny can solve your bad luck problem, but at a cost—"

"How much?" Doctor Aaron interrupted Leyton.

He had already written off Leyton and Destiny as con artists in his mind, but because he had been tormented by bad luck for so long, he still wanted to hear what they would do.

Leyton waved his hand, "No money needed."

"Consider it a gift for your future child."

Destiny unexpectedly added that.

"Future child?" Doctor Aaron was puzzled, but unfortunately, no one present offered an explanation.

Leyton glanced at Destiny, surprised that he had so easily guessed Will Auceptin's intention to restart.

Leyton wasn't keen on interfering in the conflict between Will and Ouroboros, and with a portion of the True Creator's consciousness residing within him, Will wouldn't dare to see him.

Thinking that Will would now avoid him, Leyton felt as if he had come out for nothing today.

"Or, is my premonition pointing to something else?"

Leyton pondered for a moment but couldn't think of anything else that could trigger his inspiration.

Doctor Aaron looked at Leyton and Destiny, both lost in thought, and finally excused himself politely, leaning on his cane to go chat with other acquaintances.

After Doctor Aaron left, Leyton curiously asked,

"Old Mister Destiny, have you already dispelled the bad luck from him?"

Destiny, with his eyes closed, shook his head slightly and explained,

"He isn't exactly afflicted with bad luck; his own luck is just a bit insufficient. I've supplemented some for him."

"While it won't make him exceptionally lucky, he won't be too unlucky either."

Leyton nodded thoughtfully, saying nothing more.

Sitting there like that was quite boring, so he simply asked a waiter for a game of Ludo.

"Thank you, Great Emperor Roselle, for making my life not so boring!"

After thanking Roselle, Leyton invited Destiny to play a game with him.

While playing, Leyton felt what it was like to be favored by fate.

After one round, Leyton switched to Intis Chess, for no other reason than that chess was not as much affected by luck.

When Klein returned after finishing his target practice, he saw Leyton and Old Mister Destiny, who still had his eyes closed, playing cards.

On a nearby table, several other board games were laid out. It seemed they had played all of them, and many people were watching.

Taking a few steps closer, Klein asked with some curiosity,

"How did you two end up playing cards?"

"Bored, wanted to challenge fate."

Leyton casually drew a card and said.

"Challenge fate?" Klein was puzzled.

"Sherlock, are these two your friends?"

Talim, who had introduced Klein to the Quelaag Club, moved aside to make room for Klein, then said with an exaggerated tone,

"You wouldn't believe how lucky this old gentleman is. It's like whatever he wishes for comes true; he can draw any card he wants. Whether it's playing chess or cards, as long as it has anything to do with luck, he's never lost a single game."

Klein nodded politely and said, "Yes, the old gentleman has always been very lucky."

He is a Beyonder of the Fate pathway!

Doctor Aaron, who was also watching Leyton and Destiny play cards, heard that Klein and Destiny knew each other. Leaning on his cane, he called Klein aside for a private conversation.

Doctor Aaron recounted his recent experiences and Old Mister Destiny's words to Klein, seeking the detective's opinion.

"Sherlock, are you very familiar with Old Mister Destiny? Do you think... his words are credible?"

"Originally, I wouldn't believe such things, but I just watched them play cards and chess for a while, and honestly, I even suspect they might be Warlocks who wield mystical powers."

Doctor Aaron said with a tone of disbelief.

Klein put on a thoughtful expression, considering how to explain it in a way that seemed reasonable and would make Doctor Aaron believe him.

After a moment of thought, Klein cleared his throat and said,

"Cough! Doctor Aaron, Old Mister Destiny indeed has an extraordinary understanding of fate. I believe you can trust his judgment."

"You can observe for a couple more days to see if your luck improves before deciding whether to seek other solutions."

Doctor Aaron gave a wry smile, "You're right. Anyway, I've been unlucky for so long, a day or two won't make a difference."

After reassuring Doctor Aaron, Klein went to the buffet to get some food for his lunch.

Not long after Klein sat down at the dining table, Leyton and Destiny each came over with a plate of food and sat down around the table.

Klein looked at Destiny, who, though his eyes were closed, seemed no different from someone with open eyes, and asked with some curiosity in his tone,

"Old Mister Destiny, is there anything wrong with Doctor Aaron's luck suddenly turning bad?"

Destiny replied while eating his lunch,

"Nothing wrong. Someone just sought some help from him, and I gave him some luck. He won't be unlucky anymore for the time being."

"Why would seeking some help make someone's luck turn bad?"

Klein became even more puzzled.

Destiny said with a tone of emotion,

"Every gift of fate requires a price. That doctor is merely paying some of the price in advance, and fate's gifts will slowly arrive later."

Klein nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite. Seeing that Destiny had no intention of speaking further, he didn't ask any more questions.

"What are you planning to do this afternoon?" Leyton asked Klein about his afternoon plans.

"Go see a show at the circus," Klein replied, stating his afternoon arrangement.

Leyton closed his eyes and pondered for a moment. He no longer had that strange premonition from the morning, unsure if he had missed it or already encountered it.

Destiny also spoke at this moment,

"I'm going back. I've used up too much luck today, so it's not suitable to continue being out."

Leyton and Klein exchanged glances, both seeing confusion in each other's eyes.

"Doctor Aaron?" Leyton said thoughtfully.

Destiny nodded slightly, "I gave him most of the luck I've accumulated over the years, hoping to exchange it for a piece of information useful to me."

"Is there any special reason why Doctor Aaron's luck suddenly turned bad?"

Leyton and Destiny's conversation made Klein now suspect that Doctor Aaron's sudden bad luck might have been influenced by a higher-level existence from the Fate pathway.

Destiny did not answer the question, merely silently eating the lunch on his plate.

Leyton thought for a moment and said, "He encountered a guy who was having bad luck earlier."

After finishing lunch at the Quelaag Club, Destiny and Leyton said their goodbyes and left by carriage.

After watching Destiny leave, Klein turned his gaze to Leyton and asked,

"Are you still coming to the circus with me?"

Leyton shook his head, "Why not? I want to relax too. My potion digestion hasn't made any progress recently, and it's giving me a headache."

"How do you need to act to digest your potion?"

Klein asked with great curiosity.

Since he had known him, he hadn't seen any particularly act-like behavior from him.

"As a Mysticism Magister, the most important thing to do is, of course, to develop various mysticism arts and spread them."

Leyton casually explained, then hailed a carriage by the roadside.

The two took a carriage to a circus near Tussock in Cherwood Borough.

Today was not a special day, nor a holiday, so there weren't many guests in the circus. Even the Clowns seemed listless.

The two bought tickets at the circus theater and went in to watch the performance.

On the stage inside the theater, a Beast Tamer was commanding a black bear, a striped yellow-and-black tiger, and a sitting curly-haired baboon.

Klein and Leyton found seats and quietly watched the performance on stage.

The Beast Tamer brandished the whip in his hand, ordering the black bear to clumsily do a somersault.

"Hey! That guy just tried to slap you!"

A chubby man in his thirties, sitting in the front row, suddenly shouted at the Beast Tamer.

The not-so-many Spectators in the venue burst into laughter at this scene.

Leyton raised an eyebrow, looked at the black bear, then at the chubby man, and murmured in a low voice, "Beast Tamer!"

"Beast Tamer?" Klein thought Leyton was referring to the Beast Tamer performing on stage.

The chubby man in his thirties suddenly shouted at the stage again,

"That curly-haired baboon wants to grab you and use you as a cushion for its butt!"

Klein quietly activated his Spirit Vision, observing the aura colors of the Beast Tamer and the three animals on stage.

The emotional colors of the three animals were indeed very unstable; it seemed that with a little more provocation, they could explode.

Klein had wanted to ask Leyton whether the Beast Tamer he just mentioned was the one performing on stage, or the one below the stage who seemed to be trying to disrupt the show.

Then he heard the other party's soft whisper:

"I've figured out what kind of mysticism arts to develop next!"

Klein curiously tilted his head and asked,

"What kind of mysticism arts are you planning to develop?"

Leyton slightly raised the corners of his mouth and said,

"Emotion and desire types!"

"Among the spell knowledge recorded by the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, there's less in this area. If I can develop some mysticism arts in this field, the remaining potion in my body should be almost digested."
