The impact still rang in Bunnyman's ears as he forced himself off the cracked alley wall. Smoke curled in the air behind him, the sting of scorched concrete thick in his lungs.
Across the alley, the hooded figure stood still—right hand raised, palm faintly glowing orange.
No words.
Only tension.
Bunnyman lunged forward.
The hooded figure fired another blast—BOOM!—but Bunnyman rolled beneath it, sliding across the grimy pavement and launching upward with a brutal punch to the ribs.
The figure staggered, but didn't fall.
Instead, he grabbed Bunnyman's arm and unleashed an explosion point-blank.
Crack!
The blast sent both of them crashing in opposite directions. Sparks erupted from Bunnyman's shoulder as he hit a dumpster hard, the metal groaning under the force. The hoodie man stood, one foot dragging from the impact, then flung a series of micro-blasts across the alley like grenades.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The walls shook. Smoke blinded the space between them.
Then—another shape moved through the haze.
Tape snapped through the smoke, wrapping around the hoodie man's legs in a flash. A sharp pull yanked him to the ground.
Lady Tape emerged from the shadows, eyes locked on the target. "Got him."
The hoodie man struggled, palms sparking again, but more strips shot from her sleeves—binding his wrists, legs, and finally his face.
He thrashed for a moment, then went still.
He woke later—tied to a piller.
Lady Tape leaned on the wall.
Bunnyman stood in front of him.
"Start talking," Bunnyman said. "What are you?"
The hoodie man said nothing.
"How did you get your powers?" Bunnyman continued. "Are there more of you?"
Silence.
Bunnyman stepped forward and punched him across the face.
"Talk."
The man spat blood. Smiled.
Another hit.
"Tell me who gave you the power."
Still nothing.
Then his hands twitched.
"No—!" Lady Tape warned.
BOOOOM!
The explosion tore through the wall, fire blasting outward as smoke filled the room.
When the dust settled, he was gone—vanished into the night.
Bunnyman stood at the opening, jaw tight.
Lady Tape joined him, brushing ash off her coat.
"He escaped," she said.
Bunnyman didn't look at her. "We need to find more of these people," he said. "Before someone else dies."
