The street was chaos—cars overturned, windows shattered, screams echoing in the distance.
And in the center of it all…
Rex stood tall.
Blood smeared across his face. His muscles bulged unnaturally. His eyes were wild, burning with pure rage.
Across from him, Deadknight and Lady Tape, bruised, panting, barely standing.
Lady Tape's mask was cracked. Her shoulder was bleeding. She clutched a small syringe—the last dose of the weak drug.
Deadknight's suit was dented. His knuckles were torn. And yet, he didn't back down.
Rex laughed, a guttural, monstrous sound.
"You think this ends with you two?" he growled. "You're both already dead."
He charged.
BOOM.
Deadknight blocked the first punch—it sent him flying into a wall, shattering brick on impact.
Lady Tape leaped, wrapping tape around Rex's arm, yanking him back—but he spun and smashed her into the pavement.
She screamed in pain.
Rex raised his fist to crush her.
"NOW!" she shouted.
Her trembling hand jabbed the weak-drug syringe into his thigh.
PSSST.
Rex roared in confusion as the chemical spread.
His breathing grew uneven. His steps slowed.
"You think… that'll stop me?" he growled, but his voice faltered.
Deadknight emerged from the rubble, his face hardened.
"This isn't about stopping you," he said coldly.
"It's about breaking you."
He charged.
A storm of fists.
Deadknight fought with every ounce of strength left. No hesitation. No fear. Just fury and resolve.
Rex swung—Deadknight ducked, countered.
Another punch—he blocked and drove his elbow into Rex's ribs.
Then—
CRACK!
He broke Rex's arm.
Rex howled—but couldn't recover.
Deadknight slammed him to the ground, mounted him—
And with one last, brutal twist—
SNAP.
Rex's neck jerked unnaturally to the side.
Silence.
Lady Tape lay on the ground, watching, eyes wide. Her breathing shaky.
Deadknight sat beside Rex's broken body, chest rising and falling in heavy bursts.
The monster… was gone.
But the war was still far from over.
