Chapter 2 - Ep.2

The crowds and many of the facility staff were in turmoil about Juan's Mana Count as not even the principal had scored that high before.

Even Thane was somewhat at a loss to see his record broke so easily, especially when he knew that Juan was holding back.

'To think it only took 30 seconds to break my record. You continue to amaze me Grandson.'

Thane had expected Juan to place first in the Mana count but not to that extent.

However there were still two more Tests to complete first.

"Next up for the second test is Combat testing. In a moment when your name is called you will demonstrate your skills to the judges. Those of you who enrolled for Combat classes will take the second test. But for those of you who will take the Non-combatant Classes will take the second test in which you'll show off your skills for non-combat purposes."

Before taking the entrance exam an intern could enroll in either the Combat class or non-combatant classes or both if they wanted depending on their qualifications and abilities.

This moment in the exam was truly crucial for their overall performance in the Intern placements.

And everyone was thrilled to take part, except for Juan who was once again bored out of his mind and on the verge of falling asleep.

Someone might have shook Juan awake but no one dared to do so. Not only because he was related to the principal but because Juan far surpassed him.

Even the three girls who spoke ill about him were on the verge of fainting. As they couldn't help but think of Juan as a sleeping tiger while they were just baby rabbits

So they did their best to pretend that Juan was only an illusion as more and more interns were selected to demonstrate their skills.

The most noticeable was Sara White, the one who scored second highest in the Mana Count after Juan.

"Under the Crescent Moon and under the Dark sky I call upon thee, King of Darkness!"

From her own shadow came a creature that made even Thane tremble a little.

The Night King, A Master Level Monster.

Monsters and beasts in dungeons were categorized by ranks.

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Master, Supreme. These were the ranks designed to categorize each beast.

However there was a Rank above Supreme that almost no one knew of, Divine. Few had ever seen a Divine Level beast but Thane was one of them so it was the truth even if everyone else thought the highest rank was Supreme.

But back to the present Thane as well as almost everyone in the Colosseum was clapping enthusiastically as Sara showed the full capabilities of the Night King and full control over its actions.

It was a true power and prowess of a gifted young woman.

But Sara seemed dissatisfied with her performance as she saw Juan was still asleep among the crowd of interns.

'This dam bastard! First he flaunts my score and now he doesn't even give me any thought?! I'll kill him. I-!'

It was only for a split moment but Juan opened his his eyes and gave Sara a cold glare and conveyed his message through his gaze alone.

"Watch it… or I'll show you true terror."

Sara quickly averted her gaze and shook any thought of ill will against Juan and took her seat like nothing happened. But Thane knew exactly what happened just as Juan had predicted.

'I continue to praise your mind Juan. With that you only need to deal with pests trying to kill a mountain.'

Pride was a warriors greatest enemy as it clouded the Mind and obscured one's vision of the future.

But Juan controlled his pride to the bare minimum at all times. By sacrificing his pride Thane could watch Juan turn into a Mastermind who would manipulate moments in history to suit his needs.

The greatest example of this was the first time Thane saw Juan's abilities first hand.

But he could only imagine what everyone else would think as Juan walked up to the stage.

The silence was deafening as everyone was both scared and excited to see what Juan would do before he started looking in his bag.

However it was no ordinary bag as moments later Juan pulled out two hammers with nearly 8ft long handles. One of the hammers looked to be made of Ice while the other looked to be made of fire.

It was truly a beautiful sight.

And the crowd of interns were even more restless as they knew the items Juan held.

"T-Those are at least Master Grade Artifacts! How can an intern afford such luxury items!? Not even most High Ranking Warriors can buy them!"

"Who cares about the Artifacts! That guy has a Magic Bag! Those are World Class Treasures! How can even some afford such a thing!?"

"Isn't it obvious? He is related to the Principal of the Top Hunter School in the world. He obviously pulled some strings."

"Shut up! Your just jealous because you can't afford such a item so you blabber your mouth without any proof. Go online to get attention."

The interns soon started fighting bare fisted with one another before they all froze in place.

It was fear that gripped them in place but not from Thane or the Facility that caused it but Juan as he clashed both hammers together.

Upon collision Juan's Hammers Shined bright until that light took the form of a Golem before it duplicated to over a thousand golems in mere moments.

It was these Golems who restrained the Interns with great ease.

"Creation… Eternal Golem Army."

A never ending golem army not for the fact that they never get tired but because they were impossible to kill.

Juan turned his gaze to the middle of the Interns as one of them had managed to break free and smash the Golem into pieces.

Juan remembered that he was one of the few who held the highest score in the Mana Count testing, Jacob Young.

"Ha! Your Golem's aren't special! They're so easy to break!"

Juan just smiled and gave a slight bow with a mocking grin.

"Thank you… for your participation. I hope you don't mind sustaining a few broken bones as a reward."

Jacob held a look of confusion as did everyone aside from Thane who looked a little annoyed before Jacob heard something behind him and saw the Golem grow nearly three times its original size.

But Jacob was full of pride unaware of the danger he was in.

"Ha! You think just because it grew in size that ill be afraid of it? Not in a million years! Giga Smash!"

Jacob's skill Giga Smash enlarged his entire arm and increased his strength tenfolds.

So many expected Jacob would smash the Golem to pieces as he did before but his hand didn't even push it backwards.

And Jacob started to feel his legs buckling down before he heard Juan yelling from the stage.

"Be sure to clench your teeth!"

In the next moment the Golem punched Jacob to the other end of the Colosseum past the judges.

But while everyone else wondered what just happened Juan explained it.

"The Eternal Golem Army is unlike your regular golem as they grow stronger the more they are destroyed. It learns from its enemies and formulates new strategies to handle its enemies while also gaining resistances from its own destruction."

A self learning automated golem army that could think independently from the caster. It was a truly unique and powerful technique that could break any sort of balance known to man.

Juan looked at the judges and undid the spell before waiting for their final score and saw tens across the board.

Everyone had their flaws and had received imperfect scores but to see that Juan had received a complete perfect score was to say that Juan's technique had no flaws at all.

It was at that moment that both the crowd and Interns felt a new wave of emotions.

First it was fear and caution but now it was admiration, recognition and envy.

But there was still one final part of the second test meant for the non-combatant's. And Thane spoke next to suddenly confuse everyone.

"Since you are already here on the stage why don't you do your part in the Non-Combatant test as well? Would you like to do that Intern Juan?"

Normally most choose only one set of classes but it wasn't against the rules to pick both the Combat class and Non Combatants class.

Juan gave a simple nod as he was hoping to take a nap as soon as possible.
