Somewhere in an icy cavern, a tall, white humanoid Digimon with a pair of horns and wings was looking at an artifact surrounded by an orb of light, floating above an ice stalagmite.
"What is this object?" asked the Digimon. It reached for the object, only for his hand to bounce off it, making the Digimon stumble back.
'IceDevimon; can you hear me?' NeoDevimon's voice says from the Digimon's mind.
"NeoDevimon; it has been a while, has it not?" asked the Digimon, now identified as IceDevimon.
"Indeed." said NeoDevimon.
"How may I be of assistance to you?" asked IceDevimon.
"Several human children and their Digimon are on their way to your location in search of an artifact that would make them a greater threat to us." said NeoDevimon.
"How much of a threat could human children and a few puny Digimon be?" asked IceDevimon.
"Phantomon and MetalTyrannomon have both been destroyed by them!" shouts NeoDevimon, surprising IceDevimon.
"Destroyed?!" replied IceDevimon.
"Yes, so it's imperative that you stop those children from obtaining the artifact they seek." said NeoDevimon.
"What's this artifact like?" asked IceDevimon.
"It looks like a bracer, and it should be in an orb of light." said NeoDevimon.
"I'm looking at it right now." said IceDevimon.
'Don't let those children get to it!' said NeoDevimon. 'Succeed, and Lord Titamon may reward you.'
"As you wish." replied IceDevimon.
Meanwhile, the kids and their Digimon continued on their way through Absolute Zero.
"Man; I hope we can get that artifact soon before I freeze solid." Rusty whined. Just then, his digivice started to glow.
"Rusty; I think the next artifact is yours." said Lincoln.
"We must be getting close to it." said Clyde.
"Oh, yeah!" cheered Rusty. "Come on, you slowpokes, let's keep going!" He began to run.
"Rusty, wait up." said Elecmon as he ran to catch up with Rusty.
"At least that stopped Rusty from complaining." said Stella. She and the others soon chased after Rusty to catch up.
Several minutes later, as the group continued running, they slowed down when they see a large cavern of ice ahead.
"You think your artifact is in that there cave?" asked Liam.
"I hope so." replied Rusty. They began walking towards the cave.
"This is as far as you humans will go." said IceDevimon as he steps out of the darkness of the cave.
"Who's that guy?" asked Zach. Rusty holds out his Digivice towards IceDevimon.
"That's IceDevimon. Champion Level, Fallen Angel Type, Virus Attribute; special attack, Frozen Claw." said Rusty.
"Kind of reminds me of NeoDevimon." said Clyde.
"Would you please move so we can get to my artifact?" asked Rusty.
"NeoDevimon has requested that I don't let you humans set foot near it." said IceDevimon.
"Well, so much for being polite." said Clyde as he holds out his wrist that had his artifact on it.
"Guess we're doing things the hard way." said Lincoln, taking out his Digivice while Stella, Zach, and Liam hold up their artifacts. They push the buttons on them and their Digimon Digivolve to their Champion Levels.
"I'll give you all a choice; either be destroyed by me or be frozen for all eternity." said IceDevimon.
"How about neither!" shouts GeoGreymon. "Horn Impulse!" He charges at IceDevimon.
"Frozen Claw!" shouts IceDevimon as ice forms around his hand and he claws GeoGreymon across the chest; he staggers back and drops to one knee. Gaogamon runs at IceDevimon.
"Spiral Blow!" shouts Gaogamon as he jumps up and releases a spiraling vortex from his mouth at IceDevimon, but he leaps aside, dodging the attack.
"Cold Breath!" shouts IceDevimon as he blows freezing cold air at Gaogamon, hitting him; he falls to the ground, shivering.
"Razor Wind!" shouts Reppamon as he swings his tail, releasing a blade of air at IceDevimon, but he slashes it with its claws, destroying it.
"Avalanche Claw!" shouts IceDevimon as he spreads his wings and releases a barrage of icicles from them; they hit Reppamon; he collapses to the ground.
"Cactus Tail!" shouts Sunflowmon as she leaps up and swings her tail, releasing thorns at IceDevimon.
"Avalanche Claw!" shouts IceDevimon as he spreads his wings and releases more icicles from them; some of them hits Sunflowmon's thorns, and some hits Sunflowmon herself; she falls to the ground.
"Powerful Punch!" shouts Golemon as he throws a punch at IceDevimon, but he ducks, dodging the attack.
"Frozen Claw!" shouts IceDevimon as ice surrounds his hand and he claws Golemon across the chest, knocking him to the ground. "Too easy."
"How's this for easy!" shouts Leomon as he runs at IceDevimon from his side, surprising him. "Lion Sword!" He unsheathes his sword and swings it at IceDevimon; he jumps back, but Leomon was able to slash him across the chest; He staggers back, putting a hand over his chest.
"You wounded me!" shouts IceDevimon. "Frozen Claw!" He claws Leomon's back with an icy claw, knocking him to the ground. IceDevimon tries to claw Leomon again, but he dodges it; IceDevimon charges at Leomon. "Frozen Claw!" He swings an icy claw at Leomon, but he blocks it with his sword. Rusty saw that while IceDevimon was busy with Leomon, the cave his artifact was in was unguarded.
"Guys; I'm going to get my artifact." Rusty whispered to his friends.
"We'll keep IceDevimon busy." whispered Lincoln.
"Be careful, Rusty." said Stella. Rusty nods and runs to the cave. IceDevimon has knocked Leomon to the ground; he turns to see Rusty running to the cave.
"You're not getting the artifact, human!" shouts IceDevimon as he runs at Rusty, only for the other Digimon to block his path.
"You'll have to get past us first!" said GeoGreymon.
"If that's how you want it; Tundra Freeze!" shouts IceDevimon. Light blue beams come out of his eyes and hits all the Digimon except Leomon and they were frozen.
"Oh, man!" said Lincoln.
"Rusty, hurry!" said Zach. Rusty reaches the cave and goes inside.
"No you don't human!" said IceDevimon as he flies towards the cave, only for Leomon to grab his leg and throws him back.
"You'll have to go through me!" said Leomon as he holds out his sword while in a defensive stance.
"Frozen Claw!" shouts IceDevimon as he swipes his claws at Leomon.
"Lion Sword!" said Leomon as he swings his sword to counter IceDevimon's attack; the two try to force each other back.
"You will not win!" said IceDevimon as he tries to force his way past Leomon.
"That remains to be seen!" said Leomon. Meanwhile, in the cave where Rusty's artifact was; Rusty was in the main chamber where he sees the ball of light floating over a icy stalagmite.
"There it is." said Rusty. As he walks towards his artifact, the ball it was in starts to glow brightly until it disappears, revealing the object inside; it floats towards Rusty and wraps itself around his wrist; his Digivice floats out of his pocket and gets absorbed into his artifact. "Oh, yeah. Can't wait to use this."
"Unfortunately; you won't be able to use it when I freeze you solid, human." said IceDevimon from behind Rusty, making him turn around.
"Not you again!" said Rusty.
"Are you giving me the cold shoulder?" asked IceDevimon. "Well, allow me to give you a cold everything!" He then holds out his hand while an icy wind starts circling it.
"No you don't!" shouts Leomon as he gets in front of Rusty as IceDevimon unleashes his attack; Leomon does his best to shield his partner, but he was starting to lose strength.
"After I'm done with you; the human children are next!" said IceDevimon.
"Rusty... save yourself." said Leomon.
"I can't leave you like this!" said Rusty. Just then, his artifact started to glow brightly; NeoDevimon turns and immediately gets blinded by it.
"My eyes!" shouts IceDevimon. Rusty looks at his artifact and saw a button glowing.
"I hope this means what I think it means." said Rusty. He pushes the glowing button and Leomon begins to spin.
"Leomon, Digivolve to..." Leomon began to say. He began to spin faster and glow brighter; when he stopped, he now wore a black, sleeveless jumpsuit under silver armor, he had turbines around his forearms and forelegs, a metal helmet, and an orange, spiky mane. "...GRAPLEOMON!"
"Wow." said Rusty in awe as he holds out his artifact towards GrapLeomon. "That's GrapLeomon; Ultimate Level, Beast Man Type, Vaccine Attribute; special attack, The King of Fist."
Just then, his friends and their Digimon, who were thawed out by GeoGreymon, comes into the cave.
"Guys! Check it out; Leomon Digivolved!" said Rusty.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln.
"It doens't matter what form he has taken; I will still destroy him!" said IceDevimon. He charges at GrapLeomon. "Frozen Claw!"
"Cyclone Turbine!" shouts GrapLeomon as he leaps at IceDevimon and unleashes a barrage of roundhouse kicks, knocking IceDevimon to the ground; he gets back up.
"Avalanche Claw!" shouts IceDevimon as he spreads his wings and unleashes a barrage of icicles from them, only for GrapLeomon to swat them aside with his arm turbines.
"Vortex Kick!" shouts GrapLeomon; he rapidly kicks IceDevimon all over his body, then unleashes a powerful kick that sends him flying through a wall of the cavern.
"That had to hurt." said Stella. IceDevimon comes out of the hole he made and swipes at GrapLeomon who moves to the side to avoid them; when IceDevimon looks back at him, GrapLeomon gives him a hard punch to the side of his face, knocking him to the ground. IceDevimon slowly gets up and rubs his jaw.
"You... will... pay!" said IceDevimon.
"Joke's on you; I left my wallet in my Champion Form!" said GrapLeomon. IceDevimon snarls in response.
"This ends now!" shouts IceDevimon as he flies at GrapLeomon with his claws raised.
"For once I have to agree." said GrapLeomon as the turbine on his right wrist starts spinning so fast that it starts to distort gravity, slowing IceDevimon a bit.
"What's going on?!" asked IceDevimon.
"The King of Fist!" shouts GrapLeomon as he punches IceDevimon in the stomach with all his might, causing IceDevimon's body to start pulsating violently.
"AUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGHH!" shouts IceDevimon as his body shatters into millions of little specks of ice.
"He did it!" shouts Clyde.
"Way to go, GrapLeomon!" said Rusty, making his Digimon partner look at him while giving a thumbs up before he suddenly turns into Yokomon.
"All we have to do now is find Lincoln's artifact." said Clyde.
"Let's head back to Floatia." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, before I freeze my 'stache off." said Rusty.
"It's only two hairs, Rusty." said Stella, making everyone but Rusty laugh.
Back at the Dark Dimension, NeoDevimon and Cerberusmon were watching the group with disappointment.
"IceDevimon failed us and those brats got another artifact!" said Cerberusmon.
"They must not be allowed to get the last one!" said NeoDevimon. He then creates a portal out of thin air.
"Where are you going?" asked Cerberusmon.
"It's like they say; if you want something done right... do it yourself." said NeoDevimon as he enters the portal.
The kids have just obtained Rusty's artifact, and GrapLeomon defeated IceDevimon. What will the group do as their adventures in the Digital World continue?
