After finding Clyde's artifact and escaping MetalTyrannomon, Lincoln and his friends, along with their Digimon companions paddled their lifeboats around until they found a waterway leading into the mainland that brought them back to the Nigh Plains.
"Never thought we'd get back here." said Zach.
"So, what now?" asked Stella.
"We should try to find the rest of our artifacts before we run into NeoDevimon, MetalTyrannomon, or any other of Titamon's goons." said Rusty. As they got onto the shore, Clyde was looking at his artifact.
"So, how do you think these things work?" asked Clyde.
"Don't know; wish it came with an instruction manual." replied Rusty.
"I'm sure we'll figure it out soon." said Stella.
"Let's just go somewhere and look around." said Zach. Lincoln takes out his journal and looks at the map that Taomon made for them.
"This says that another artifact is located somewhere called the Ohguni Wastelands; in a place called the Palace of Thorns." said Lincoln. Clyde also looks at the map to try and find the quickest route to the location.
"We'll need to go through the Server Desert again to get there." said Clyde.
"Oh man, that heat isn't good for my perfect hair." said Rusty.
"At least we don't have to go to Logic Volcano." said Zach.
"At least there's that." said Elecmon.
"I don't really like fire that much." said Lalamon.
"Let's get going then." said Agumon.
"We should get some water first." said Gaomon.
"Make it a lot of water." said Rusty.
"How about some lunch first?" asked Elecmon.
"Yeah, it's about time for something to eat." said Lincoln.
"Okay, we'll get water first, then have lunch." said Stella. As the group head for the river to refill their canteens, another Vilemon was watching them.
Back at Titamon's base, his minions were watching a projection of the group.
"MetalTyrannomon, I thought you said you destroyed them!" exclaimed NeoDevimon.
"I thought I did!" exclaimed MetalTyrannomon.
"Maybe you should leave the thinking to the professionals!" exclaimed Cerberusmon.
"Why you!" exclaimed MetalTyrannomon, aiming his left arm at Cerberusmon.
"ENOUGH!" yelled Titamon as a shockwave knocks his minions to the floor.
"Lord Titamon is correct; we must focus on destroying those children and their Digimon allies." said Phantomon. "I will send Boarmon to take care of those kids."
"It better get the job done, unlike MetalTyrannomon." said NeoDevimon.
"Be quiet!" exclaimed MetalTyrannomon.
Meanwhile, back with the kids and their Digimon, they were heading through the Nigh Plains to the entrance to the Server Desert area; as they did, Lincoln was looking around.
"What'cha lookin' fer, Lincoln?" asked Liam.
"Seeing if there are any Vilemon around." said Lincoln, making everyone else look around.
"Oh yeah." said Clyde. "We thought that the first one we beat was the only one, but the one back in MOD Cape proved us wrong."
"Watch every cliff and plateau for any sign of them." said Lincoln.
"On it." said Agumon. Everyone kept a sharp eye out when Stella spots some movement from some tall grass nearby.
"What's that?" Stella asked. When everyone looks, a large, orange, boarlike Digimon with a fiery mane charges at them.
"Look at that hog!" said Liam.
"Is it a Digimon?" asked Rusty.
"What else would be here in this world?" asked Stella. Liam takes out his Digivice and points it at the Digimon.
"That there's Boarmon; Champion Level, Mammal Type, Data and Vaccine Type." said Liam. "Its special attack is Nose Blaster." Liam looks at Boarmon. "That hog is mighty ornery."
"Looks like it's looking for trouble." said Rusty.
"Well, it found it." said Elecmon. The kids look at each other and nod, they hold out their Digivices, or in Clyde's case, his wrist; and push the buttons, allowing their Digimon change to their Champion Forms.
"For Lord Titamon!" said Boarmon as he charges at the Digimon, ramming into GeoGreymon, knocking him over.
"GeoGreymon!" shouts Lincoln.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." said GeoGreymon.
"So, this guy is one of Titamon's goons?" asked Rusty.
"Let's roast this porker!" shouts Golemon.
"I'm the one who's going to be doing the roasting here; Nose Blaster!" shouts Boarmon as he releases a blast of flame from his snout that washes over the kids' Digimon.
"Man, that's hot!" said Sunflowmon. Clyde looks at his artifact.
"How do I use this to change Gaogamon to his ultimate form?" asked Clyde.
"We can focus on that later." said Lincoln. "We got bigger problems."
"Slamming Attack!" shouts Boarmon as it charges at the Digimon, ramming them as it passed, knocking them down.
"Man, that was hard." said Golemon as he gets back up.
"We can't give up." said Reppamon.
"Let's take this swine down!" said Leomon. Boarmon begins digging one of its front hooves into the ground.
"Slamming Attack!" shouts Boarmon as it charges at Gaogamon, but he jumps to the side, dodging the attack.
"Spiral Blow!" shouts Gaogamon, releasing a spiraling vortex from his mouth that hits Boarmon on its side, knocking it back.
"Sunshine Bazooka!" shouts Suflowmon as she launches a large seed out of her mouth with great force that hits Boarmon, knocking it back further.
"Slamming Attack!" shouts Boarmon as it charges at the kids' Digimon again.
"Horn Impulse!" shouts GeoGreymon as he charges at Boarmon and collides with it, stopping its attack. Golemon moves to its side with a fist raised.
"Powerful Punch!" shouts Golemon as he punches Boarmon in its side, knocking it over.
"Smashing Kick!" shouts Leomon as he kicks Boarmon on the side of its face; it begins stumbling around.
"Rolling Tackle!" shouts Reppamon as it does an aerial somersault towards Boarmon.
"Nose Blaster!" shouts Boarmon as it fires a blast of flame from its snout at Reppamon; he breaks through the fire and slices through Boarmon. It stood there, stunned for a few seconds until it disintegrated.
"Hoo-ee; that's showing that hog whose boss." said Liam.
"And I also have something to show someone also." said Leomon.
"What?" asked Rusty. Leomon clenches his fist as he quickly turns around towards the top of a plateau.
"Fist of the Beast King!" shouts Leomon as he launches an orange, lion head-shaped, mass of energy towards the Vilemon that was watching them.
"NOOOOOOO!" shouts the Vilemon as Leomon's attack destroys it.
"How did you know it was there?" asked Lincoln.
"I caught a glimpse of it during our battle." said Leomon.
"Thanks, Leomon." said Rusty.
"There'll probably be more of them." said Stella.
"We should all take turns keeping a lookout for them." said Lincoln.
"You mean day and night?" moaned Rusty. "I need my beauty sleep."
"Yeah, you need all that you can get." said Stella.
"I can take a night shift." said Lincoln. "I've stayed up at night for days after seeing that Harvester movie."
"Are you okay with that, buddy?" asked Clyde.
"We need to be ready for anything at all times." said Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Agumon. "I can take a shift also."
"We all can." said Gotsumon.
"Thanks, guys." said Lincoln.
Back at Titamon's lair, his minions were looking at the imageless projector with disdain.
"Those kids and their Digimon are harder to get rid of than Roachmon!" said NeoDevimon.
"They will be more careful from now on." said Phantomon.
"Next time we'll send someone who can destroy them." said NeoDevimon.
"So, we won't be sending in MetalTyrannomon?" asked Cerberusmon.
"Watch it, Fido!" shouts MetalTyrannomon as he points one of his arms at Cerberusmon.
"Enough, we don't want to disrupt Titamon's work." said NeoDevimon.
"Good point." said Cerberusmon.
"What do we do about those kids then?" asked Phantomon.
"We'll send extra Vilemon to keep an eye on them for now." said NeoDevimon.
"Will that even help?" asked MetalTyrannomon.
"Perhaps not, but we need to keep an eye on those kids and their Digimon." said NeoDevimon.
"Why bother with a bunch of weak human children and their little Digimon?" asked MetalTyrannomon.
"They have proven quite capable." said NeoDevimon. "If they get stronger, then they could be a threat."
"You really believe that?" asked Cerberusmon.
"I'm not taking chances with Lord Titamon's goal almost within reach." said NeoDevimon.
"Fine." said Cerberusmon.
