Marvel Cinematic Universe – Non-sacred Timeline
New York – Assassin Brotherhood Headquarters – Loom City
At this moment, Sloan stood inside the room housing the Sacred Loom, ready to check if a new assassination target had been revealed.
Peering through a magnifying lens at the divine threads of fate, he noticed encrypted symbols forming and immediately began jotting them down. As he deciphered the code, a name appeared before his eyes:
Sloan.
Staring at the decrypted result, Sloan froze in shock, then muttered:
"Impossible…"
"How could it be my name?"
"The Loom must have made a mistake…"
But soon after, he said with grim certainty:
"The Loom of Fate does not make mistakes…"
After a few seconds of silence, Sloan glanced around. Once he confirmed no other Brotherhood members were nearby, he cut out the piece of cloth bearing his name.
Holding the fabric, Sloan couldn't comprehend how his name had shown up. Since the founding of the Brotherhood over a thousand years ago, no member had ever appeared on the Loom of Fate. But the Loom never lies—those whose names appear are meant to die.
Could it be that in the future, he would become a truly vile villain?
By the rules of the Brotherhood and the judgment of the Loom, he should take out his gun and end his own life immediately—but he didn't want to die.
As Sloan struggled with his thoughts, a streak of glowing light shot toward Earth from outer space.
Wrapped in the glow was a baby, surrounded by seven Dragon Balls.
The light pierced the sky above New York, tore through the roof of the Brotherhood's textile factory, and crushed Sloan to death as he stood in contemplation.
BOOM!
The violent impact shattered the Loom of Fate into scattered pieces. The seven Dragon Balls circling the infant turned into meteors and blasted through the building, flying off in all directions. After dispersing, each Dragon Ball transformed into stone and fell across the globe.
Hearing the explosion upstairs, X, Cross, The Apothecary, and others shouted from the hallway:
"Sloan! Sloan! Sloan!"
They called his name three times with no response. Unable to wait any longer, they rushed inside.
According to Brotherhood tradition, after becoming an assassin, one only visits the Loom once to witness its power—after that, only the leader may enter.
What they saw stunned them.
A massive hole in the ceiling. The shattered remains of the Loom. A baby lying among the wreckage. And Sloan, dead on the floor, still clutching a piece of cloth.
The Apothecary gasped:
"Dear god… What happened here?"
Cross quickly approached Sloan's body, checked him, and shook his head:
"It's no use. He's gone."
He then carefully took the cloth from Sloan's lifeless hand.
In the Conference Room
The Brotherhood's top members had all gathered. The Gunsmith spoke first:
"Alright, let's hear it. What did you find?"
Mr. X began:
"The Loom of Fate has been destroyed. Sloan is dead."
"We tried to save him, but in the end, we lost both our leader and our sacred tool of guidance."
The Butcher asked:
"Who was the enemy?"
Cross replied:
"There was no enemy."
Those who hadn't been on the scene were stunned.
"What?!"
Cross tossed a file onto the table. Clipped to it was the cloth from Sloan's hand and a decrypted report.
"This is the fabric Sloan was holding when he died."
Everyone picked it up and read.
"My god…"
"No way…"
"How could Sloan's name be on it?"
Mr. X spoke solemnly:
"It's true. Even in death, he never let go of that cloth."
The group slowly accepted the truth—Sloan's name had appeared on the Loom, and now he was gone.
Mr. X continued:
"Besides that… a baby appeared at the scene. Almost as if he descended from the heavens. Any thoughts?"
For a moment, no one could speak. They all had too many thoughts, but no idea where to begin.
The Apothecary finally said:
"That child ended the past of the Brotherhood… and made the choice for Sloan."
"He is heaven-sent. A holy child!"
Cross shrugged and agreed:
"I support that. This child is indeed heaven-sent."
Mr. X pondered for a moment, then declared:
"Then this child shall be named Smith Dole, with the title GOD."
Cross, serious now, replied:
"God, huh? Sounds like you have high hopes for this little one."
The Gunsmith added:
"Seems like you're really counting on him. But can he bear the weight of our hopes?"
The Butcher interrupted:
"I don't care much about the kid's future. What matters is—without the Loom, what do we do now?"
"The Loom used to give us lists of the wicked, and we judged their fates."
"Now the Loom is gone, replaced by a GOD. What now?"
All eyes turned to Cross and Mr. X—the Brotherhood's strongest figures.
Mr. X thought for a moment, then said:
"Suspend all missions. Call the members back."
"As for future plans… we'll hold off for now."
Cross offered a different view:
"Yes, we should gather everyone. But I have a proposal for what to do next."
"Before, we followed the Loom's list—some judgments were preventative, others were for truly evil people."
"Now, using our intelligence networks, we can continue judging those who commit atrocities."
The Gunsmith chuckled:
"So we become Robin? Or like Captain America?"
Mr. X gave it some thought:
"Not a bad idea. It's worth considering."
And so, the future of the Assassin Brotherhood was set through their discussion. They also made arrangements for the newborn Smith Dole. Whether he could truly become the Brotherhood's GOD would depend on his growth and development—but the Brotherhood would raise him with the utmost care.
After all, a child who fell from the heavens and fulfilled the Loom's final prophecy was shrouded in undeniable mystery.
